An ingenious code hidden in the works of Leonardo da Vinci. A desperate race through the cathedrals and castles of Europe. An astonishing truth concealed for centuries… unveiled at last.
While in Paris, Harvard symbologist Robert Langdon is awakened by a phone call in the dead of the night. The elderly curator of the Louvre has been murdered inside the museum, his body covered in baffling … baffling symbols. As Langdon and gifted French cryptologist Sophie Neveu sort through the bizarre riddles, they are stunned to discover a trail of clues hidden in the works of Leonardo da Vinci — clues visible for all to see and yet ingeniously disguised by the painter.
Even more startling, the late curator was involved in the Priory of Sion — a secret society whose members included Sir Isaac Newton, Victor Hugo, and Da Vinci — and he guarded a breathtaking historical secret. Unless Langdon and Neveu can decipher the labyrinthine puzzle — while avoiding the faceless adversary who shadows their every move — the explosive, ancient truth will be lost forever.

Exellent read!
Absolutely wonderful, this book is, as often the case, better than the movie. Well-written characters with an unusual plot & lots of action.
This book was very well thought out. What a wonderful plot with great twists and turns throughout.
The story moved in a direction that made it hard to remember that it was fiction.
Thought provoking, a great read.
An unrealistic story and simplistic writing. I don’t understand why it was so popular. Don’t waste your time.
good read
I disliked the basic premise.
Fun read, and really made you wonder if it was all true, or at least could be!
Incredible writing. Well developed plot with twists and turns. I loved reading this book.
Dan Brown’s Tour de Force.

loved the book and movie
A great read.
This was a compelling read and really made you think about a lot of things I was taught as a child and growing up. I enjoyed the suspense and the characters.
Fast paced, historically interesting and surprising. Easy to read and hard to put down.
It was a page turner. Dan Brown is an excellent author.
considering what a storm it caused when it first came out, i wasnt sure what it might be like. first of all, you should remember that it IS fiction. based on some true facts which have been fictionalized into “clues”, it nevertheless is fascinating and quite fun to read! this book and its subsequent sequels have become a must-read series!
Over-hyped and ridiculous.
