An ingenious code hidden in the works of Leonardo da Vinci. A desperate race through the cathedrals and castles of Europe. An astonishing truth concealed for centuries… unveiled at last.
While in Paris, Harvard symbologist Robert Langdon is awakened by a phone call in the dead of the night. The elderly curator of the Louvre has been murdered inside the museum, his body covered in baffling … baffling symbols. As Langdon and gifted French cryptologist Sophie Neveu sort through the bizarre riddles, they are stunned to discover a trail of clues hidden in the works of Leonardo da Vinci — clues visible for all to see and yet ingeniously disguised by the painter.
Even more startling, the late curator was involved in the Priory of Sion — a secret society whose members included Sir Isaac Newton, Victor Hugo, and Da Vinci — and he guarded a breathtaking historical secret. Unless Langdon and Neveu can decipher the labyrinthine puzzle — while avoiding the faceless adversary who shadows their every move — the explosive, ancient truth will be lost forever.

Dan Brown is intricately detailed. The 4 books of his I’ve read have been equally excellent,. Intricate plots with multiple, unpredictable twists & turns, excellent, vocabulary, spelling, grammar & usage. It drives me crazy when the editing is poor, takes away from enjoyment. But his work is perfect. He fills the reader with
background details, it …
Total new angle of writing stories. Very clever story line.
Who hasn’t read this book? Interesting thriller. It’s a great beach read.
Baseless conspiracy theories about Christ and the early church. Fun for a fictional read, but people believe this stuff is real.
This book kept me up late into the night as I could not stop reading. Not only did it keep my heart racing from the beginning to the end, it was a deliciously thought provoking book that stayed with me long after I finished reading it.
Good read!
One of his better books.
The suggestions about revised history are deceptive and unnecessary for the exciting plot and action.
I thought this book was very good at tying in all the great places with the clues. It keep you reading trying to figure it all out.
Love Brown’s books. He has an original thought process in his story design. He can get his protagonist into impossible situations and then get them out again.
I totally enjoyed this book. Highly entertaining.
The first book of Dan Brown I read, which lead me to read the next 2 he came out with. A completely different approach to the church twisting round and round leaving you on edge to get to the next page.
Full of history of the freemasonry, their secrets and how they pass them among the members who risk their lives for keeping the secrets. Art painting is a great tool to keep their messages and symbols. The church is fully present and play a big role in hiding secrets.
One of the best book I ever read. I was not able to put teh book down! It also teaches a lot about history and religious history. An amazing book!
Very good Read
Enjoyed the story and the places we visited with the book. Since I had been to most of those places, it was really wonderful to visit them again in the book.. The characters were surprising and enjoyable.
Love it very engrossing
The story moved along at a rapid pace. I couldn’t put the book down
One of my favorite books-filled with lots of interesting information. As a Christian, I do not agree with some of his ideas but they make you rethink some of your own assumptions.
