An ingenious code hidden in the works of Leonardo da Vinci. A desperate race through the cathedrals and castles of Europe. An astonishing truth concealed for centuries… unveiled at last.
While in Paris, Harvard symbologist Robert Langdon is awakened by a phone call in the dead of the night. The elderly curator of the Louvre has been murdered inside the museum, his body covered in baffling … baffling symbols. As Langdon and gifted French cryptologist Sophie Neveu sort through the bizarre riddles, they are stunned to discover a trail of clues hidden in the works of Leonardo da Vinci — clues visible for all to see and yet ingeniously disguised by the painter.
Even more startling, the late curator was involved in the Priory of Sion — a secret society whose members included Sir Isaac Newton, Victor Hugo, and Da Vinci — and he guarded a breathtaking historical secret. Unless Langdon and Neveu can decipher the labyrinthine puzzle — while avoiding the faceless adversary who shadows their every move — the explosive, ancient truth will be lost forever.

The Da Vinci Code
Loved this book as well as the movie. I recommend to everyone who likes a good mystery.
I put down informative, but you should have something that says misinformation, which about tells it all with Brown’s books. He takes something truthful and twists it so it no larger is truth.
Excellent book
So Good!
This book kept me totally intrigued from beginning to end. It starts with the introduction of a young Parisian girl, Sophie Neveu, that is being taught codes in songs by her grandfather – a curator who was involved in the Priory of Sion, and the story stepped up yet again when her grandfather is brutally murdered. But before he draws his last …
Great story line.
I’ve read all of Dan Brown’s books and I don’t care what the critics say I love them all! I love the puzzles and I love how he makes me think about things from different points of view.
I loved the book. It was full of suspense and intrigue.
Just plain fun!
I read it in a day…I just couldn’t put it down!
A tale of mystery, power, greed and killer gone mad. I could not take my eyes off the pages! Mr. Brown spins a tale both fascinating and horrifying.
Read the hardback a looooong time ago. Excellent story, plot, characters…I could go on. Started me on a Dan Brown marathon!
Overrated.
The perfect blend of historical fact, modern conspiracy theories and fantasy…
This was the first of Daniel browns books that I have read and made it so I couldn’t wait to read the others. Better than the movie. Riveting all the way through.
