I agree with other reviewer‘s. The flow of the story is disjointed. I feel like a lot of the chapters were not complete when they ended. The story also is lacking some thing that leaves the reader wanting more. Overall it is a cutesy story. And they get their happily ever after.
4.5
This book is the first book that I’ve read by this author and is the first in this series.
Book #1- The Curve
Book #2- The Closer
Book #3- The Cannon
This book is a real second chance, single parent romance and I always love the single parent, second chance love books they are always my favorite. This book is a real fast, quick read and im glad I picked up this book as I love book series.
Charlotte is a real good person and always takes care of her responsibilities, all she wants to do is be a good mother to her child and nothing is going to come between them both, her and her daughter Mallory. Charlotte has also had things quite tough and is always going to put being a mother above all else.
Atticus is a real hot and sexy guy and is a baseball player and nothing will come between him and his career because his career is everything to him. Women are around him all day long. When he sees her from the moment his eyes land on hers he cant take his eyes of of her.

This book was a really good read and I really enjoyed it. The characters had a great connection and this author has written them fabulous I really loved all of them, I especially love the Swift family.
The characters were awesome and they had a great connection and there chemistry was sizzling of the pages, I loved how good a mother Charlotte was and how patient Atticus was too and I felt like this author has written them beautifully. I think the issues in this book, the author has done a great job with the issues.
The story line in this book and the characters, I couldn’t take my eyes of them they were awesome and a this book is tad emotional to while reading it to and I cant wait to see where this book series leads.
Thank you to the author and publishers for allowing me to read a copy of this book.
This book is out now.
I loved all of the stories in this series. They are the perfect combo of sexy, sassy, and sporty. Each book can be read as a standalone, however, the same characters are in all three books. It helps to anticipate the future characters and get additional information on the couples you’ve already completed. A swoon-worthy sports romance trilogy that is sure to hit it out of the park!
Absolutely loved it! I loved Charlotte and Atticus connection, chemistry, and they were perfect for each other. A truly wonderful story from beginning to end.
I’ve gone a bit in reverse order with this series and started with the last book instead of the first. After meeting the Swift family in The Cannon, I wanted to know more.
Getting to know Atticus, Charlotte, and Mallory in The Curve was a treat. The book isn’t super long, so there isn’t a deep dive into every nook of past and present, but they were a couple/budding family that was great to watch.
I especially enjoyed how Ms Pike touched in issues of trusting your gut, bullying, and the impact of social media. Not only did she let us see these things, she let us see a healthy response and resolution- a message that is important in this day and age. Add in the fact that Atticus handles dating a single mom with grace and understanding and you have a winner of a book.
Now I am really curious to go back and read Brick’s book!
This was a seriously good read! The characters are fantastic with so many layers. And the messages about family, love, and bullying really shape this book into an amazing story. First you’ve got Atticus, the playboy baseball star whose life is changed the day he sets eyes on Charlotte. He’s led a charmed life full of family and love and is surprised to find just how much he wants things to work out with Charlotte. Then there’s Charlotte, a single mother who has made her daughter her focus in life. She’s happy with how things are but finds herself unable to resist Atticus’ charms. Then you have Mallory, the daughter who is struggling with life as only a teenager can but she has the addition of a trauma that has left her with both mental and physical scars. I really enjoyed how all three came together in this story and the powerful messages shown in this book. Can’t wait to see more from this series!
Charlotte and Atticus are such interesting characters and it was fun reading their story. The Swift family and Charlotte’s daughter, Mallory, are a awesome and add so much to the storyline. I look forward to reading the rest of the series.
