Passionate and Powerful are the words that immediately come to mind when I think about The Cursed Series, Parts 3 & 4. Rebecca Donovan had built on the intrigue and suspense she created in parts 1 & 2. The tenuous relationships that were forming as well as the intense relationships that existed are all put through tests that have surprising consequences for all involved.
The most compelling aspect of reading the cursed series for me was witnessing the progress of Lana as she faces the brokenness and secrets that complicate her life to become a strong, compassionate, and loving young woman. It is a beautiful revelation to know that the truth she fears will be her downfall is also the very thing that is essential to her resurrection.
I was mesmerized for hours unraveling the tangled and twisted ball of twine that is The Cursed Series. Every time I thought I knew where the story was heading, an new knot formed elevating the complexity of the suspense and drama. There was truly never a dull moment in this story. I enjoyed each word and truth revealed until the exciting end.
With the conclusion of the Cursed Series, Rebecca Donovan has shown us the importance of never letting ourselves be ruled by fear and what we perceive as our faults. Her themes of truth, self-love, and the enduring healing power of love will resonate within the hearts of those who spend time between the covers of this compelling book.
That ending, my heart hurts for Brendan despite strongly disliking his character.
Its hard to write a review that won’t spoil the story so I will just say I enjoyed the story that Rebecca has woven together so perfectly. I expected something way different to end up being revealed at the end than what actually happened but regardless of the ending it was still an amazing read.
The perfect twisted ending to an incredible series. This book was such a dark and emotional journey I just couldn’t put it down. The writing was perfection and the plot was epic. I was questioning how this would end it was simply incredible. This series is one everyone needs to get their hands on.
Absolutely loved this series. Would like to read more about these characters!
I was very excited for this long awaited conclusion to Parts 1 & 2.
While the beginning felt slow to start, by the middle and end I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough. I also had trouble following characters – there is a lot of them.
Lana is away at boarding school, receiving cryptic, threatening messages. Brandon wants to figure out whats going on and enlists Lana’s help. Most of the students that are attending the summer session are somehow connected.
Racing against time and possible harm from Vic, Lana isn’t sure who she can trust. If only her mom would be more honest about her past.
So will they figure out who is threatening them and how they are all connected as well as the truth? Definitely one-click for the epic conclusion.

Where do I begin? I’ve been waiting for parts 3&4 ever since I finished the first two parts and while they were well worth the wait especially the fourth part I had a few issues that unfortunately I can’t voice because they contain spoilers. However I did enjoy it despite the issues. There’s betrayal, secrets, lies, difficult themes and so much more. It’s emotionally charged read that I definitely recommend.

This book is a great conclusion to parts 1&3. You get so much information. It will have your mind thinking one thing, and then something else another. I love how Rebecca keeps you engaged and wanting more!! I love the conclusion, and that last page!! A must read!!
Rebecca Donovan’s twisty, turny saga of a teenage girl trying to figure out what happened between her mother and a wealthy family concludes with two books that take you on a RIDE.
Lana is not always easy to like. In fact, sometimes she very vehemently wants you to not like her. The only thing she asks of you is to believe her–not to trust her or support her. As she tells you (more than once), her “curse” is honesty. She cannot lie, or so she says.
Indeed, as Donovan shows, Lana does lie, most grievously to herself. She thinks she’s adept at reading people, but it’s more that she tries to convince herself that what she wants–what she needs–to believe is true. This causes her to trust the wrong people, reinforcing the lies she tells herself.
By the time we find out what happened on Nantucket all those years ago, some of the pieces may not be all that surprising. In fact, Lana’s inability to see the truth proves to be another obstruction on her path of discovery.
Rebecca Donovan adeptly shows toxicity in all its forms–between friends, between lovers, between family members–and how a “curse” can be passed from generation to generation, just like DNA.
As Lana is warned, searching for answers can be dangerous if you aren’t ready. One lesson she learns is that answers don’t lie, no matter how much you wish they would.
