A USA TODAY BESTSELLING NOVEL.
A forgotten past, a dark mage, and an unyielding curse.
Another team beat free-spirited archaeologist Olivia Perez to the dig of a lifetime, and now she’s left with the choice to wait for scraps or brave a dangerous, dusty tomb in hopes of finding other priceless artifacts. Her reward? A mysterious key she has no idea is cursed. Soon, Olivia realizes she’s brought … realizes she’s brought home more than just an ancient rarity.
Malevolent visions begin to plague her. Unnerved by what they reveal, she casts away the key…unknowingly placing it into the waiting hands of a dark mage bent on destruction. Only when a shifter agent from the Paranormal Intelligence and Tracking Organization arrives searching for the key does Olivia realize what a huge mistake she’s made.
Forced to team up with the ill-tempered shifter, her journey to reclaim the cursed key leads down a twisting path of dark histories, dangerous magic, and deadly obstacles. But Olivia’s efforts to take back the ancient relic before the dark mage can destroy the lives of humans, shifters, witches, and fae alike are thwarted by her own dark past…and a price steeper than what she’s willing to pay.

An ancient evil comes to life in the Cursed Key by Rebecca Hamilton and Miranda Brock. The story begins in the rainforests of Brazil where the Cursed Key is re-discovered by artifact hunter Olivia. She has no idea what she discovers until it begins to impact her and the world around her. There is so much detail that it is almost blinding to all the underlying details. The characters are awesome and compelling. I absolutely love them all as they are so well developed and engaging. This story is like an Indiana Jones meets the most ultimate urban paranormal fantasy. it is just amazing. There is action, drama, suspense, mystery, and so much more. I can hardly wait for the next book in the series!

I read the second book in the series before reading this one.so I had several “ah-ha!” moments where this book explained things in the second. I highly recommend reading them in order.
That said, I loved this book! There are heart stopping moments when you wonder if Olivia will survive unscathed. The visuals described are so vivid that I could actually feel like I was seeing what she was seeing. There are sad parts when she is too late to prevent tragedy and a nice twist at the end when all is not lost. From the Amazon jungle to the woods of Scotland, this book takes you on a roller coaster adventure.

Loved this book. I even got the rest of the series that is out so that I could find out what else happens to Olivia and Kael.
Olivia has an ancient power that has been awakened inside of her. Kael is a shifter panther that stays by her side. They keep trying to figure things and out and getting into a lot of trouble. It will be great to see what else they get into and where Olivia ends up.

Olivia is called to a ruins in Brazil. Olivia and her team are not the first to arrive. She is drawn to go into a different location, what she finds blows her mind. She decides she is going to investigate the site. Things there feel familiar to Olivia and she doesn’t understand why. When she discovers the key, she gets out of there. She feels like she being followed, she hasn’t seen the jaguars yet Olivia doesn’t tell anyone of the discovery she found.
Olivia arrives home and things are to get out of control for her. She is really drawn to the key, weird visions and weird energy coming out of her hand. She decides to bury the key. Once she buries it, she goes back for it. She runs into a guy in robes and really weird. He gets away.
While having coffee, there is a guy staring Olivia down, she decides to leave. He follows her with no problem. She thinks she lost him, only for him to be at her home. He too wants the key, but he says he doesn’t want to hurt her. She tells him that she doesn’t have it. Olivia finds out his name is Kael, he was the jaguar from the site.
The adventure for Olivia and Kael are just beginning, the story is a roller coaster ride you will love to be on. Kael not liking pretty much anyone that isn’t a shifter and Olivia that is just being introduced to this. She is just as stubborn as he is. You will truly enjoy reading this book and all the books in this series.

I am looking forward to the release of The Cursed Key, which is currently on preorder. I truly enjoy books that combine action and adventure, romance, and paranormal elements. The Cursed Key sounds absolutely riveting with its magic, relics, and romance, and is definitely, my kind of book.
What an amazing action packed book!
I can’t wait for this one to come out. Definitely on my TBR list!
A fantasy like Tomb Raider? You can’t get any better than that!
I am so friggin’ excited for this one! As a previous archeology major, I LOVE when books like this come along! Plus, look at this all-star duo of writers! How could you go wrong!? Grab your copy too!
Oh my, Fae and reincarnation? I have not encountered that before. Ren is an archeologist who has a 6th sense. That sense leads her to a “key” that then begins to bring strange events, and “people” into her life. She has to learn to use her magic all over, only instinct to guide her. Her antagonist becomes her best friend as they both seek to find the one responsible for taking the key, she didn’t want to keep.
I found it very entertaining without lots of gore or innuendo.
I found the book dragged in parts and I wasn’t sure where the plot was headed not in a good way. I did finish it and for fanciful literature it was just ok!
I was pleasantly surprised with this story! Really fun, magical, action packed, adventurous read!! The beginning was even a bit creepy! There’s shifters, witches, mages, and even fae. I love the MC, Olivia and her traveling companion. Their dynamic is very entertaining. A few reviews mentioned how she goes back home to the states in the middle of the book and that it was disappointing there. The book is by no means slow or boring at all. The fun doesn’t stop! So don’t be deterred by those readers. I’m buying book 2 right away because I cannot wait to continue this adventure with Olivia!
Imaginative tale set in present time, but revealing some very special secret truths a chance find unveils. A tale I am on my way to finishing with (I think! ) by reading the third book in the series. It keeps me wanting more.
A fast paced Paranormal Fantasy. I would have given this five stars except I don’t like cliffhangers. An archeologist found a relic in the Brazillian Rain Forest that changes her life.
This one ended too soon, leaves you wanting more of the story.
A very good read
Love suspense books
I really enjoyed this book. Each chapter ended with a pull to the next page to see what happened next. It was a fast read since I couldn’t put it down.
There were a lot of incorrect words and run on sentences. The writing was not very good but the story was engaging for the most part. I will not read further into the series.
