“You! The one who does not believe. Do not shut your eyes to the gifts with which the Gods have endowed you.”I never believed in the paranormal. Curses, enchantments, lucky amulets, evil spirits, angels, demons, Heaven, and Hell – all this meant nothing more than fantasies found between the covers of a book. What changed my mind? A new job at a museum.Getting used to the new place was at very … to the new place was at very least awkward, but life went back to normal; more or less.
Things become genuinely complicated with the discovery of a very unlikely connection — me, from the present, and a young woman from the 19th-century named Leah. Capable of taking over her body when Leah agrees, l get to discover hidden lies, mistakes, and foolish ambitions, which if left alone can destroy the future.
But, how can I face this situation when my own heart is about to get stolen by the surprising charm of the past?

This was a great story with a unique plot. The characters were well developed and very interesting. I liked the give and take and the side romance. It was very interesting although a little predictable in places. I am definitely interested to see where she takes the story in the next book and how the relationships between the characters will develop from here.
This is a very interesting and unique story and I loved it. The storyline is amazing and definitely kept me reading. The characters and character development are fantastic. I cannot wait for more! I would absolutely recommend this book!
I absolutely loved and devoured this magical tale. Andreea takes the paranormal concept and gives it the justice it deserves. I loved the action and the characters in this first book. I was drawn in right from the first chapter and I didn’t want to put it down until I finished it. absolutely gobsmacked that this is a debut book! It was riveting, eye catching and intriguing!
I have never read this author before, but the premise of this book intrigued me even though time travel is not my favorite. At first, it took me a little bit to get used to the way this author wrote, not that that was a bad thing at all. She writes in a unique way to urban fantasy/paranormal romance. Once I got into it, it really flowed. It didn’t long for Scarlett, Leah, Miss Jubilee, Chance, and Midnight, among others, to capture and enthrall me. I found this book’s universe to be different than most, and I can’t wait to read the next one in the series to find out how everyone is going to deal with the changes that the end of the book brought! Recommend.
Scarlett Aubyn is a great MC … love the different mythologies and magical backgrounds
Wow!!! What a great take on time travel and Greek myths…this book had so much within its pages. Great character development, a snarky, fiery, highly intelligent female main character who comes to learn all isn’t as it always appears. There’s oodles of adventure, mystery, and in essence a quest. I for one can’t wait to see what happens next. This was indeed a great introduction to this series and the amazing characters within.
The Curse of Time: A Time Travel Urban Fantasy (The Cursed Watches Book 1) by Andreea Pryde is such an awesome story that I have had the privilege to read. This is book number one written by a brand new author for me to read and I am so hooked. I can not wait to read the rest of this awesome series. I highly recommend this story to everyone who loves reading about magic and suspense.
Scarlett has started a new job at a museum that deals with everything she doesn’t believe. Her home life is not like There she starts to have dreams. She is given information that she can’t ignore. Scarlett has powers is able to go back in time. She meets the young woman of her dreams and a man she could fall for.
Scarlett is in for an emotional rollercoaster with what happens in the past. She is overwhelmed with her feelings for these people in the past. She will also learn information in the her time.
There are so many things that go on in this book. There are some huge rollercoaster moments for all the characters. It builds slowly, it is a clean read as well. This author does grab you and moves you through the book. The ending is was amazing. I can’t wait to see what else happens in the next book. I do highly recommend reading this book
A haunting time travel book with intrigue and romance
Scarlett, an artifact restoration specialist, finds work at an oddities museum where her skepticism may be a hindrance rather than helpful. As the story progresses a number of strange events occur, new friends are made, and if she cannot gain the needed knowledge in time she could loose everything she has gained. Andreea Pryde has crafted a haunting time travel book with intrigue and a slow build romance doomed by distance through time. The main characters come to life as the reader travels through the book with quite a few surprising twists thrown in for good measure. Reader discretion advised due to dark subject matter and/or possible triggers.
I read this book with my Kindle Unlimited subscription.
Scarlett and Chance, drawn to each other through time and fate. Only Leah holds the answer that will save them, and when Midnight appears, things get very interesting.
Once I understood the players, the time shifts were easy to follow. Bring on book #2, I need to know what happens next!
OMG!……. such an amazing start to a new series! As soon as I started this book I could not put it down. I got sucked into the unique world where Scarlett discovers she is special and goes on this adventure that spans different time periods. She learns to believe in otherworldly beings as well as learning to believe in herself! Chance *swoon* , Leah, and don’t forget Midnight are wonderful characters that help to guide Scarlett when she feels lost. Fantastic!! Cannot wait for the next book!!
Very interesting start to paranormal series
This book was not my typical read As it is a very slow build romance Nothing even happens in the 1st book. But the story line was intriguing the character development was excellent and the world building was very believable And engaging. It wasn’t easy read And I read it all in 1 sitting. They are no trigger warnings except for maybe physical abuse In 1 of the side characters. Definitely recommend this series.
This is my first book by the talented, Andreea Pryde. The Curse of Time, kept me turning each page. The storyline, characters, and plot drag you right in. Scarlett Aubyn, is a wonderful character, you wanted to cheer her on, when her no good ex showed up back at her door. Being right there with her when she learns there is more out there than just make believe. When Scarlett begins to believe her world is turned upside down. She even falls in love with a man from two hundred years in the past. Her love is set to fail – right?

One of my favorites
I really enjoyed this story. It was a great time traveling tale. It consisted of magic, time travel, and romance with some humor here and there. The story unfolded seamlessly from beginning to end. It was captivating and held my complete attention from beginning to end. I enjoyed the spunk of the cat, Midnight, and the charm of Chance. The story had a surprise ending, and I can’t wait to find out what happens next in book 2!
Ahh, more, please!!!
I couldn’t keep myself from reading the first pages at work, ending up hanging in my chair, trying to stifle the laughter bursting from my lips.
Andreea Pryde, you had me hooked from the beginning, and I loved it all!
The Protagonist Scarlett is created perfectly, making it easy to slip into her skin and accompany her on her journey through time, from her initial struggles to an unexpected conclusion, only revealing the protagonist’s true identity at the very end. Captivating all the way, until you turn the last page…
I loved Scarlett’s excursions into the past, the referrences to a time without technical amenities, although lighting a fire would not have tasked me that much – or so I assume – but dressing myself very much indeed! Those little quirks and struggles make it easy to relate to the situation, and endear Scarlett even more to the reader.
I fell in love with Chance. He is so cute, with his old-fashioned courtesy and his special view on the world.
Definitely my best read this year so far, and worth every single of those five stars!
Can’t wait for the journey to continue.
This book keeps you hooked the entire time! Really liked how the character went from modern day time to the past. Kind of an abrupt ending though. Otherwise, great book!
Good book
Oh. My. Gods. Where to begin? I was looking to put off starting to unpack (I moved last week) and decided to pick up this gem. It’s safe to say not a single box has been opened. I started this morning and finished just now. I put the book down, begrudgingly, so I could take the puppies on walks. This book had everything. Mystery, intrigue, romance. It is fresh, new, and addicting. I am so excited to read the rest of this series.
I didn’t have expectations going into this book. Truth be told I didn’t even read the blurb, but it’s the best damn thing I’ve ever done after reading this!
It’s been awhile since I’ve read anything witch related and the twists and turns and surprises in this had me gripped and salivating for more. Definitely some elements you don’t see often which was a pleasant surprise and made the whole experience that much more satisfying.
I definitely recommend this book to anyone looking to get lost in a whirlwind adventure of mystery, intrigue, magic and a whole lot more.
