I wasn’t sure what to expect out of this book, so much left unsaid in the summary. Before too long in to the book I was hooked. I read the whole thing in one sitting. Old creaking house and mystery drew me in. I’ve always had an interest in lore and the book ignited my hunt for more. There is even a bit of love grown in, how can you go wrong. Plus I can promise you’ll never see the ending until you get to it. Twists are something this author has mastered.

This was a great short story! It kept me on the edge of my seat and the story line was so intriguing.
I wasn’t too sure where this book was going when I started it. It’s a slow fall into terror. Then it hits hard. The fear and horror. I sure didn’t see anything coming. This book surprised me over and over again. The end left me breathless.

This is a good short scary story. Mel and Emily are twins who have been at odds for awhile. When their family moves into a creepy, old house it gets worse. Emily doesn’t believe Mel when she tells her something is after her. It’s up to Emily to save her sister’s life.
What can I say about The Curse..how about WOW! What an amazing short story! It was a spine tingling page turner! The mystery, suspense and events taking place were incredible. Loved how Kristin Ping incorporates Native American history into the story. The symbolism of the dreamcatcher and how it relates to the characters was amazing. This book gets you to the very end..and the ending itself was mind blowing. I highly recommend this book if you are looking to be spooked or just for a short read. Either way, you won’t be disappointed!

Twins become the focus of a century old curse. Because the girls are not very close, it was very easy for an evil spirit to take over one of the girls’ souls. The other sister finds out where the story began so she can find a way to fix her sister. The Banshee does not want to leave and drastic measures are taken to remove the evil spirit. This book was an interesting take on how situations from the past can carry on into the present.
I enjoyed this story that was more horror driven then my usual reads. But it did suck me in and keep me reading tot he end to find out what, who and why the evil. Also had to see if the sisters would survive and all be forgiven. Just a family moving to a new town story with a horror twist.
Twin sisters Mel and Emily have been on the outs for years. So when their family moves to a creepy new house, Mel doesn’t listen to her sister’s intuition about a dreamcatcher. Now Mel is cursed to die, and Emily must save her.
This was a chilling short story that incorporated Native American legends. I enjoyed the characters and every small detail. My only issue was a slight confusion as to the entity in the dreamcatcher. The way it was worded made it seem like the person showing herself to Emily was supposed to be the evil entity, but it wasn’t. But other than that it was a really amazing story.

this book is awesome! I was absolutely captured in the first few pages and then I could not stop reading until I was done. This is a most intense thrilling, horrifying story. It is a shorter read than a lot of books but not too short. Plenty of pages to keep you glued to and turning. Want to be scared this Halloween? Here you go.

Holy WOW! Melanie and Emily are twins, and up until a few years ago, inseparable. While Emily is looking forward to their move from Jersey to a small town, her sister hates the idea. Unfortunately, the twins will quickly realize that their family is not the only inhabitant of their new house.
I think this is a fantastic, absolutely terrifying read about an ancient evil returning to wreck havoc on an unsuspecting family. Fascinating and well written characters. I loved this book!
