Loved it 5 stars
I enjoyed travels & musings of a widower discovering his wife’s life before he knew her.
Lovely man. Discovering himself.
Delightful read
This is a charming (sorry for the pun) slice of life story that readers of a Man Called Ove and The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry will enjoy.
Loved the story and loved the characters.
Great read! Not your run-of-the-mill story, so it was fun to see where the story would take the main character, Arthur Pepper, next. Ending was somewhat abrupt, but the rest of the story was delightful.
Arthur Pepper lives a perfectly predictable life in a small English town, until his wife dies and he makes a surprising discovery that takes him on a journey of self-discovery. Filled with quirky characters and twists and turns. A delightful read.
Well written, unique story that touched my heart.
This is a heartwarming book that could be a guide on how to live a life of value after a great loss, with the help of the community.
Enjoyable, inspirational I loved the character and how he transforms throughout the novel.
How friendships are built and new ones can be formed even later in life, if you are open to it A feel good book…..
This book wasn’t of the action packed variety, but it still managed to hold my attention. It was sweet and made you think. I’d probably give it 4.5 stars.
A beautiful, touching, and light-hearted book, all at the same time. I grew attached to the characters (even if some interactions weren’t quite so believable), and I’m glad this book was recommended to me.
A sweet book about a recent widower that finds a charm bracelet of his deceased wife. He had never seen the charm bracelet before, and sets off on a quest to find out about the bracelet and each of the charms.
Heartwarming. Arthur’s character grows throughout the book. He learns about himself and discovers an emotional connection with his children and neighbors. I’d like to sit for a spell and drink a cup of tea with him.
I really liked this story
It’s nice to read a book that isn’t about 20, 30, or even 40 year olds. This was a touching book that was an easy and pleasurable read.
A sweet read similar to A Man Named Ove. Almost too similar. Created a sweet mystery that kept me engaged, but not enthralled.
Good story but way too much telling vs showing.
Arthur is a beloved character who is relatable and charming. The story line is interesting with little twists and surprises.
I really loved this. All sorts of twists and turns
