What could be worse than having to spend a week with the man you ghosted? When Adrian Cobb arrives in New York to help his brother move, he comes face to face with the biggest mistake of his past—a baking conference hookup he rudely ditched a year ago. Now, he’s sharing a guest room with Ajay Sunagar, who looks as tasty as the pastries he bakes, and Adrian desperately wants to prove he can handle … can handle the heat this time.
But Jay makes it clear he isn’t ready to forgive and forget Adrian’s bad behavior. None of Adrian’s repeated apologies seem to make a dent in the walls Jay’s put up and Adrian can’t tell if Jay would rather make him grovel or cover Adrian in frosting and lick him all over. Adrian’s afraid that this time, Jay will be the one to walk away—unless Adrian can find a way to make him believe in second chances.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book by Brigham. The characters were were funny and still had some sharp edges.
Told in Adrian’s point of view, we learn how he ghosted Jay and why he might have done it.
They meet up again at the beautiful Williamsville Inn that Adrian’s brother’s fiancé owns.
Through their week long visit, Adrian does his best to prove to Jay what he feels.
It takes a few times but the affection they feel for one another blossoms as they find their common ground again
Brigham’s writing style is smooth and puts you in the moment. She has a way of describing events that puts you in the scene.
If you like seasonal books, books about bakers and forgiveness, this book is for you.

A great addition to the series. This was a pretty good sweet read. Adrian and Jay were good together. Their first meeting was off the chain and Adrian messed that up. I really don’t want to give anything away, but Adrian was scared and did not contact Jay after their first meeting. They meet up a year later and it takes a bit for Jay to come around. This was a cute story and I loved how previous characters were mentioned from other books in the series. I totally loved this book.

Brigham Vaughn drops us in a vat of ice in The Cupcake Conundrum. I have to admit that I was laughing during this scene because I have driven that trip and after moving someone’s stuff Adrian had to be tired and needed someone to talk with to keep him awake. Then stuck in an apartment with someone who will not talk to you? Awk-ward!
Plus the story is very funny. There are scenes that are very hot and some that are emotionally intense. Love can be that way and Vaughn puts Adrian and Jay through their paces.
I have loved this series so far and yes, I will confess that I really want more!

This is the 2nd book I’ve read written by Brigham Vaughn; she has done a great job at writing a good book; I can’t wait to read more of her books.
The story line caught my attention at the very beginning and kept me interested throughout the entire book.
I loved the characters.

Adrian and Jay meet cute at a bar when both are attending an expo in Brooklyn. They hit it off and then hit the sheets and then Adrian hit the road which left Jay feeling a bit hurt because they really connected. Then they meet again when it turns out that Jay is Adrian’s brother’s roommate and they are both helping his brother Seth move. The spark is still there but Jay is not ready to forgive and forget right away. Adrian realizes that he let something good get away and he wants to try again. Their road to one another has its speed bumps – they jump to conclusions, there are family issues to consider on both sides but what makes this story good is the way once they really that each is it for the other they work together to work through the issues as they come. Sweet as a cupcake!

It started as a hook-up during a conference, but by the end of that weekend both Jay and Adrian believed it was much more. But coming home, Adrian, who is co-parenting his two children with his ex-wife, gets cold feet and ghosts Jay.
Almost exactly one year later Adrian helps his brother move from NY to Philadelphia, and meets Jay again, who was his brother’s room mate. Both help with the move and Adrian tries to repair the damage, but it takes a third run for them to get together.
A nice, heart warning story, with great characters all around. Entertaining and really enjoyable.

In the midst of a difficult separation, while still struggling with custody and work issues, Adrian met Jay at a baking convention in New York.
It felt like a possibly serious thing to both, but Adrian got mired with overthinking and divorce drama, and walked away without follow up.
Guess who turns out to be the roommate big brother Seth mentioned helping move him to Philly with his fiancé?
Life and love are complicated, especially with grownup baggage and small children in the mix
Fun yet tangled m/m KU romance

Adrian is a divorcee and certified master baker meets Jay, a head pastry chef at a 5 star boutique hotel, in a bar hotel at a baker’s convention. That then leads to a sizzling weekend together and both are eagerly looking forward to the possibility of more to only have Adrian disappears leaving Jay hurt and resentful.
They meet again a year later by chance. This was a fun short read. I definitely recommend this book!

This is a well written book with strong characters and a realistic story line. The author takes you on an emotional journey with this sweet second chance romance between Adrian and Jay. She does a great job bringing out all the feels as they work towards gaining trust and love in one another as they work towards their future. The secondary characters help to move the story , especially Adrian’s children.Molly and Josh. Her scenes are described in detail and the story flows fluidly. I enjoyed reading their story.

Adrian and Jay met for the first time at a baking conference in New York the previous year. The two of them truly enjoyed each other’s company and agreed to continue the relationship once they returned home. But Adrian, back in his home environment, got uncomfortable and just took the easy way out by “ghosting” Jay.
When Adrian helps his brother move, he runs into Jay again! Jay is still full of anger and hurt over the way Adrian treated him and does not seem willing to give Adrian a chance to do that to him again. Adrian knows he still wants Jay, despite his own stupid actions, and he tries repeatedly to apologize to him and make it right. Only when they have to share a guest room does it appear that they both still care. Adrian is serious this time around, but does Jay trust him enough to believe he won’t pull that stunt again? Will he risk his heart and take a chance on Adrian?
A fun, sweet romance with likable characters and an enjoyable second chance romance. All in all a great addition to the Williamsville Inn series.

Sweet, romantic story! I love Brigham’s writing and skill it presents, this book being a great example. The characters, both main and secondary, were really entertaining and I enjoyed the story a whole lot!
One of my favorite authors so picking up her new book was not a hardship.
I absolutely loved Adrian and Jay.
A chance meeting leads to a sizzling weekend encounter.
Both men seem to be eagerly looking forward to the possibility of more, only Adrian disappears leaving Jay hurt and resentful.
Time passes and in an strange twist of fate, they happen to meet again and find they have friends and family in common.
Adrian sees Jay as the one that got away and it’s obvious that under all of Jay’s posturing that he feels the same way.
Old habits die hard and before either one realizes it they’re both jumping to conclusions and not talking things out once again.
This time, they’re determined to to do things the right way, even if it hurts or it’s uncomfortable.
They’ve both made mistakes and are willing to own up to them.
I loved the easy relationship Adrian has with his ex.
His kids were absolutely adorable and it was really sweet seeing them become such a happy healthy family.
Do yourself a favor and read this book.
It’s perfectly sweet and snack sized.
Never give up, never surrender to your fears. Adrian is a divorcee and certified master baker who owns his own shop, King of Tarts. Jay is head pastry chef at a 5 star boutique hotel, The Kensington. They meet in a bar while they are in NYC at a baker’s convention. There was a spark and they spent the weekend together consumed by flames of pure raw sex. They tentatively made promises based on all the new feels. Then Adrian ghosted Jay. A year later, Adrian is helping his brother, Seth move into his fiance, Erik’s apartment. Surprise, surprise! Jay is the ex room mate helping Seth move to Philly. Awkward! There are some twists and turns, some concerns with Jay’s South Asian parents’ culture, concerns with dating while single parenting lots to untwist. Will the guys talk about the ghosting during the trip south? Can Jay forgive Adrian? Does Adrian want forgiveness? Great story. Nicely done. I found the chapter titles irrevelant and irritating. I would have loved the author to include the recipes described. My tongue was hanging out hoping for a taste. Nicely written. It was nice hearinghow Erik and Seth were doing and the references to Rex and Will. Each story is good reading alone, but the series is awesome and amazing! The Cupcake Conundrum is a wonderfully written, sweet, second chances story about Adrian and Jay and I couldn’t put it down. This was a emotional roller coaster of back and forth will they won’t they. Adrian and Jay met at a baking conference and had an instant connection. But than reality stepped in and Adrian had gotten back to his life and that didn’t seem to include Jay. But then Adrian and Jay connected again as they were both helping Adrian’s bother Seth move, but that didn’t seem like the right time for them either. Just when it looked like all hope was lost the sweetest thing happened.
I recommend this book and look forward to more from this author.

Adrian Cobb and Jay (Ajay) Sunagar are truly a refreshing couple to read about.
Both enter into the situation as this being a weekend romp and nothing more. By the end of that weekend, both could see themselves in a different.
In comes the burden of poor communication…
To take a step back to the beginning, Adrian and jay meet at a bar during baking event. Adrian is newly separated and Jay is single. Jay being much more forward than Adrian, make initiations that Adrian never refuses.
You later discover throughout the story ta plans are made to continue seeing one another but Jay is “ghosted” by Adrian for what seemed like reasonable reasons to him. Only he came to the conclusions as a solo act. Jay for his part, goes through the stage that any person would go through. Worry, stress, anger, and the realization he’d been ghosted.
Another fantastic twist, Jay is soon to be a former roommate of Seth, Adrian’s brother who is moving out and getting married. Adrian is helping Seth when Adrian arrives and the dam begins to crumble. Pain, wincing, hurt, unshed tears, and shock seem to envelope these two. Being stuck in a truck together is just the beginning of a few bumpy days together.
Helping Seth and Erik during this short period with moving, unpacking, and cake testing, was just the push both Jay and Adrian needed to get everything on the table…and in the bedroom. Of course, Jay had a twist of a plan of his own and he realizes his actions were no better than Adrian’s when all was said and done.
Adrian returns home to run his business, get a clear head and make an attempt to understand Jay’s perspective. Jay makes a visit to Adrian’s bakery unexpectedly, admits he was wrong, and should not have ended things that way the second time around.
Working out the kinks, Adrian and Jay embark on a slow building of trust, real and open communication, bone deep love and happiness.
One thing was abundantly clear, communication – or lack there of – was a common theme in this story. You will understand better after having read this book.
Family revelations with parents, exes, and children as well as personal fears and growth help to bring these two where they belong…permanently in the arms of one another.

Adrian and Jay meet at a baking expo and have a wonderful weekend. They promise to try to date long distance but when Adrian gets home reality sets in and he chickens out and ghosts Jay. They meet up again a year later and Adrian realizes he made the biggest mistake of his life. I really enjoyed this book.
I love second chances…
I really love second chance romances and this one didn’t disappoint. Jay and Adrian’s story had some complicated areas and a lot of good romantic feels in others. I really loved how Seth and Erik was incorporated in the story from the last book. Seth and Adrian being brothers relationship was great in this story and the connection Seth had with Jay was surprising. Jay’s attitude towards Adrian’s betrayal felt so real and I felt his hurt and anger. I really felt Adrian remorse-fullness and loved how he took on the guilt, learned from it and made it his mission to get Jay back. This was an all around feel good book and I really enjoyed it.

Adrian and Jay have an immediate connection when they meet at a baking conference, and that’s why it hurts so much more when Adrian ghosts Jay once he returns home and the reality of his family and business crash into him. Jump forward one year and when Adrian is helping out his brother move in with his fiance, who does he run into but the guy he ghosted. Jay is holding on to a lot of anger and resentment towards Adrian and, although that spark is still obviously there, Adrian feels rather hopeless in earning a second chance. I really liked that he doesn’t give up trying to apologise though. It’s easy to understand Jay’s anger and I needed Adrian to really work towards building the trust again. It’s fairly low-angst though, especially when Valentine’s Day comes around and Adrian gets the best surprise!
Adrian and Jay are so romantic together and with all the delicious, mouth-watering cupcakes they bake, it is a heavenly read!
