“Many mystery buffs have credited Louise Penny with the revival of the type of traditional murder mystery made famous by Agatha Christie. . . . Brilliant, compassionate Chief Inspector Armand Gamache of the Sûreté du Québec is called to investigate, in a case that will force him to face his own ghosts as well as those of a seemingly idyllic town where relationships are far more dangerous than they seem.

I was sucked into this world – delicately drawn, always facsinating, quietly thrilling. This story is full of marvellous details that kept me guessing until the end.
Every book in this series is amazing. They’re thought provocing, emotional and clever—a perfect. I’m always so excited when a new book in the series becomes available. I think Inspector Gamache would be the literary character I would love to meet.

This and all her books are thoughtful and thought provoking. I savor every page and look forward to her next one.
