Maverick “Mayhem” Astor is a cruel boy. Ella Christian isn’t exactly a kind girl. When their paths cross unexpectedly in the middle of a cold night, a war begins. A silent, vicious battle that rages on between two hearts carved from stone.Who will bleed first? Who will kneel?Who is truly furthest from God?As the Unsaints and the 6 pick up their broken pieces and attempt to move on from a horrific … broken pieces and attempt to move on from a horrific past, Maverick holds on to more secrets than he can carry, driving him away from his brothers.
And Ella? She wants to crack all of his dark secrets apart. Light them afire. Watch them burn in flames. Because Maverick may be sadistic, but Ella…well, she likes the pain.

Daddy….you own me!!
Okay babes! This book starts right where the last left off and it waisted no time getting right into it.
Ella is a perfect match to Mav. She is hurting. And she’s a little bit crazy (maybe a lotta bit crazy). And she wants all of him. She has to finally face the things in her life that make her the way she is. Her story broke my dark heart!
Maverick!! He has so much of my heart. He is locked tight when it comes to his control and emotions. He enjoys the pain and suffering of others…and himself! So when he chases a girl down in the woods and she lets him smack her around…he has met a PERFECT MATCH!!
They both struggle with self worth and their willingness to accept that someone could actually choose them.
I really love their dynamic BUT THERE WAS LEGIT CHEATING I loved the character who did it enough to pretend it didn’t happen…but prepare for that!
Lucifer and Sib!
I feel some type of way about Sib because she seriously cannot communicate to save her life…or anyone else’s!!
Lucifer is emotionally stunted and he is very impulsive but he LOVES HER!
I am conflicted with their love story! Something has to really happen for me to believe they can work long term because they are a shit show…it hurts my heart to watch! But I LOVE IT! Tell me why I love it!?
F*CK JEREMIAH!
And F*CK THE 6
I want them to get theirs so bad!
“There’s no difference between love and hate, Mavy. The opposite of those is indifference, and if you could hurt me, if you could like it, I mattered to you. Just like I mattered to her.”
I’m in love. This is my favorite one out of the series so far!
They were both so broken, and found each other and couldn’t let each other go.
At one point I was crying full blown pissed off tears with Ella. I won’t ruin it for anyone but I’m sure K.V. Rose knows exactly what part I’m talking about!
And Lucifer. my heart broke for him. I hope they do find there way back to each other. But Mav will always be there for him, no matter how mad he made him about Sid.
The ending had me all up in my feelings. Finally reading what I’ve been waiting for him to figure out! I didn’t think I could love anyone more than Lucifer and Sid…but Ella and Mavy will have a special place in my heart forever.
This has been the one book I have no joke been counting down the months, weeks and days for and it sure as hell did not disappoint.
Just like books 1&2 of the Unsainted series, it is dark, depraved and highly addictive. Once again, another page turner that had me screaming “What the actual F” on numerous occasions.
This book focuses on Maverick and the mysterious Ella. But you still get to see what is happening with Sid and Lucifer (although not as much as I would have liked). The story picks up right where book 2 left off and gets straight in to it! Any feelings you may have had for certain characters in Unsainted 2, let me tell you now, The Cruelest Chaos will change that due to unexpected twists and turns.
Maverick. What can I say. He is one dirty dirty man. Some would say completely psychotic and terrifying. But man he is one of those guilty pleasures that you don’t tell your friends about because you fear they may just check you into a mental hospital. There is so much more to him once you crack through that hard exterior and this book gives you a little look in to that.
Ella? Well, she probably is his perfect match on the crazy scale. She is obviously due to things that have happened to her. But if I am honest, I was not a fan of her character. But if I have learnt anything from K.V Rose, who know what will happen from here.
Now I am back in the same predicament I was in not long ago and back to counting down the months, weeks and days until Unsainted 4 is released. Bring on Jeremiah! I may be the only crazy person because I am 100% team Jeremiah and cannot wait to see what is next in store for this dark and twisted series that I just cannot get enough of. K.V Rose – you are a genius because these books are the shiz nit!
UUUUUUGH Enough is never enough. I want these books to go on forever. I love how much we learn about the side characters as we go along. There’s so much more than just the main story to these. Be ready because this one was INTENSE. I can NOT wait for the next book!
I loved Mavy’s story so much! I didn’t want it to end. I loved him in the first two books and was so ready to get things from his POV. I felt so bad for the things he went through. Mavy and Ella belonged together. I also loved her from that beginning as well.
The Unsainted world is my favorite world. I could get lost in these books for the rest of my life.
Mav is dark and beautiful and I just love him!!
Literally wow again. I did NOT think it was possible for Mavericks story to be as incredible as the others. But it was AND MORE. I knew I loved him for a reason. He was so broody and those kinds of boys are my favorite. He had issues. He had anger. And Ella was written spectacularly for him.
The twists and turns and OMG moments didnt stop with the last book either. They were alive and well here in Cruelest Chaos.
One of the things I love most (ok among 1000 other things) about this series and author is the music she infuses into the chapters. Sometimes I look them up and listen while reading certain parts and it makes me feel ALIVE.
Ella was the perfection distraction at first. Until she became more. And she was absolutely perfect for this series because just like all the rest, she had a few screws loose. Ok I lied. ALOT OF SCREWS MISSING. But I freaking LOVED that about her!!!!! She had a hard life like the rest and I felt for her in the pits of my soul. God that girl was so strong. Reading about her hunger and how hard her life was. It made me incredibly sad. It was heartbreaking. But good thing the big bad Mayhem was there.
Goddd he was so perfect. Taking care of her. My heart exploded everytime they interacted. I thought I loved Lucifer the most.
The I thought I loved Jeremiah the most.
Now I love Mayhem the MOST.
WHAT IS THE AUTHOR DOING TO ME?
I SHOULD LOVE MY HUSBAND THE MOST. BUT NOOOOO. That ship sailed the second I started this series.
Oh yea and watching Mav almost kiss Luce about had me taking my clothes off. THAT WAS HOT AND JUST A TINY TEASE. I want an MM romance now from this author!!!!!!
This book had the most angst in it I think. And so much LOVE. It was hard to read at times because of all that Ella went through.
It was hard to read at times also because of all the pain and guilt that smothered Mavy. But it was worth it. It was so worth it. This book took my breath. 5 stars isnt enough for what I want to give it. This author is a dark queen genius and this series is by far my favorite.
Mavyyyyy… This has been my favorite of the series so far. I was feeling all kinds of things after reading about Mav and Ella. They are just perfect. I love the way he cares for her, bringing out his soft side. I could not get enough!
Best book in the series thus far. KV is a mastermind and I cannot say enough good things about this book.
Mavy and Ella are my favorite couple of the series! I mean I fell in love with Mavy before I even read his book but man once I did I was a goner. Swoon city. He’s got that tortured badass artist vibe, he feels everything so deeply.
And Ella goddamn did I connect with this character something fierce. Man KV really nailed writing a character with BPD. And this is coming from someone who actually has it.
The whole series is great but this book is a step above the previous two in my opinion the character development and that ending was perfect. I can’t wait for boy of ruin because I feel like I might be emotionally gutted when I read it and I love it when I book can do that to me.
I don’t have words. Every book this author writes leaves me speechless. Broken. All the pain, suffering, violence, blood. We never know what direction every sentence, every paragraph, every chapter it’s going to take. It leaves me a jumble of confused feelings, but full of adrenaline. I just want to run and shout at the top of my lungs, free every little bit of frustration this book left in me. I don’t know what side I should choose. Is there even one? I still don’t have the answer to that. But I’ll still search for it in every book to come.
Beautiful and completely twisted!
WOW! Maverick is one intense and dark man. His story is not an easy one to read about. It’s raw, gritty, depraved and very dark. My heart ached for him and all of the pain he has endured throughout his life. His story took me on an emotional journey that I won’t soon forget.
“…when your raised with monsters, those with the dullest teeth seem the most angelic.”
Ella is the new girl in this series. She has so much pain and anger hidden inside that when she lets it out, it’s only to hurt herself more. She may be young but over the course of the story Ella becomes stronger and more fierce in her love and devotion.
“I know a devil when I see one. And just how many devils have you met?” I ask her… “Not many,” she admits, “but every time I look in the mirror, there’s one staring back at me.”
Maverick and Ella are the perfect couple. Their pain, anger and hurt have so many similarities, it’s like their souls are crying out to each other. They were meant to find one another. Maverick and Ella do some nasty things to each other but in its own twisted way it brings them closer together. I really love these two together.
I love this series. Each story takes us readers down a rabbit hole for the dark, the twisted and depraved souls. The story is getting crazier and crazier making it so very addictive to read.
“My book is full of sins. Evils meant for torture porn, haunted houses. Psych wards.”
I can’t wait for the next book!
This book was great! So dark and twisted like the other book in the series!
Boy I couldn’t wait to read Maverick’s story and KV Rose sure as hell didn’t disappoint.
Maverick “Mayhem” Astor was so much more than I expected. We really got to see the real Maverick and I think I loved him more than I loved Lucifer. Maybe the story between Maverick and Ella was so much more painful for me than reading Lucifer and Sid’s. I really, really liked Ella.
I loved how well Maverick and Ella fit together. They bonded from the moment they set eyes to each other and I loved how their connection was instant. Granted, Ella was just trying to forget her problems for a day but that one day brought her to Maverick and he sure as hell was like a god to her, just like she said he was. He really didn’t know how to treat a lady but when it came down to Ella he realized what love really was when he almost lost her.
This book was HOT, Maverick and Ella’s chemistry was off the charts HOT and I just loved these two together.
The twists and turns in this story really had me like WHAAAAAT!!! Totally shocking moments throughout the book.
His thoughts are coloured mainly in black, his mind full of pain and anguish.
Her life is empty, just like her stomach most of the time.
They both venture over to the dark side, to achieve what they need and want but is that always the answer…
This is the third book in the unsaints series. The previous two books focussed on Lucifer and Sid. This book shines a light of Maverick aka mayhem and Ella.
I didnt expect him to be as tortured as he is, and I was quite shocked by his father Thomas visits. If he wasn’t all that he is I might of lost my heart at this.
Ella is confused and branded by her health label. She’s desperate to be loved and needs someone to show her attention in any shape or form.
This book isnt just bordering on dark, it firmly has a foot in the disturbing encampment too, and I must admit I struggled reading it.
I didnt form any attachments and I openly cringed in places.
This is where the series ends for me folks I wont be reading the fourth book.
Okay, so, I know I sound like a broken record but hear me out for a minute. The Unsainted series is by far one of the best book series I’ve read. It is so freaking dark and captivating I just can’t deal with it.
That being said, The Cruelest Chaos is by far my favorite of the series so far. It follows Maverick/Mayhem and a girl named Ella. So many things happen in this book and the strangers to borderline enemies to lovers storyline just did it for me.
Honestly, screw Lucifer and Jeremiah, I’m team Maverick for life. Lol.
Again, thank you @theinfinitereader.blog for introducing me to this series and thank you K.V. Rose for writing such wonderful anti-heroes! I cannot recommend this book/series enough.
Run, don’t walk, and download this series. You won’t regret it!

Maverick “Mayhem” Astor is a kinky motherf*cker. But damn me if I didn’t fall in love with his “SOMEONE SHOULD’VE CUT OFF YOUR DICK” ass. And Ella, my poor damaged soul. I loved her so much. There couldn’t have been a more perfect fit for Mav.
’ ’ , .
The Cruelest Chaos took an unexpected turn. It was so different from the previous two books but yet addictive. The overall vibe was more filthy, hot and painful than dark and twisted? But maybe that’s the result of living in this world for some time. You embrace the darkness and violence and don’t recognize the light anymore.
I’m still kinda speechless. When I thought no one could top Sid and Luce, the author had to break me with Ella and Mav’s story. I can’t remember the last time a book made me cry but I did. I did cry. And not the “oh, it’s sad” kind of tears but the kind that bleed “it f**king hurts”.
I thought I knew what I signed up for when I started TCC. But KV did it again. She surprised me with so many twists and turns. My head is still spinning. This book is my favourite out of the three books by far. 6*
Maverick and Ella’s story is completely steamy! Book 3 is so hot, I couldn’t put it down. It’s a good read for sure!
I just gotta say Mavy is such a dirty boy The Cruelest Chaos is Maverick and Ella’s story.
Maverick carries a lot of secrets and has some major inner demons and he needs an outlet to release all of it. Ella loves the pain and is use the being hurt by those around her. When Maverick sees Ella he is drawn to her and one night ends up being many nights. He’s becoming consumed by Ella but knows that with all the shit going on he can’t share any of that with her or it could mean her death too. Ella doesn’t want to get too attached but can’t help it but she starts to learn there is a lot more she couldn’t even imagine going on in his life. With the 6 lurking about there is no telling how this relationship will end..
This story was so painful at points to read all the tragic traumatizing shit not only Maverick has been through but Ella also. Their love is rough but healing for them both and I loved how much the grew together in this story. Such a good dark romance read
* I can’t wait to read Boy Of Ruin!!
I did not think there was going to be a girl that would ever be good enough for maverick but K.V.Rose did it again and created his perfect counterpart. Maverick has always had a special place in my heart and after reading this story my heart broke for him. This story blew me away but I didn’t expect anything less from K.V.Rose. This book was phenomenal!
The deeper and deeper we into the Unsaints world of blood, chaos, and mayhem the more obsessed I have become. This world has quickly become one of my favorite book worlds to visit. Mavy and Ella ARE EVERYTHING. I loved Maverick, there is so much more to him than he let’s on and I loved when we got a glimpse of the man behind the mask. I liked Ella immediately. She was fierce and gave as good as she got and she didnt let Maverick push her around. Maverick and Ella were both broken but they understood each others pain. They’re love story is unconventional and not an easy one but it’s still beautiful, and they are beautifully broken.
There is no black & white…only grey
KV has this way of writing these dark, depraved books that most would side eye.
Me..I live in the darkness. The Unsainted Series consumes you. You think you understand but you don’t. You hate the characters and you love them. You love all the depravity. The darkness. The sickness. The vile wicked actions.
Come into the darkness. Let you own demons out to play. The Unsainted demand it!
