The Crucial Shift is book 3 in Michelle Dare’s Ariane series.
I am so over the the moon with Ariane and Orion’s story. I just love all of the Avynwood Pack characters… I really don’t know what or how to say how much I have loved reading this series… this book is so full of things going on I don’t know where to start. You will just have to read it to see what is in store for Rion and Ari. Trust in me you will not be disappointed.
I have really enjoyed reading this series with all of the ups and downs we have had to journey through, I have never wanted a series to not get a HEA before like I do now. Cause with Ari and Rion getting their HEA that means there is no more to their story… Don’t get me wrong I am so happy they are finally able to get their HEA with everything they have had to endure from Travis and Benedict, but I don’t want their story to be finished.
Rion and Ari are such a strong, formidable duo, with the mating bond in place and Rion receiving Ari’s gifts they both have the strength of a vampire, the healing ability like a vampire and the ability to teleport and read peoples thoughts. Wow!!! Just when you thought they couldn’t get any better Ari is a wolf… (shock I know)
Thank you Michelle for writing such a fantastic book with wonderful and entertaining characters. I can’t wait to see what you have in store or Wake, Ford and Kylest.
My bookworm self is wiggling in glee. I have devoured, submerged, and reveled in Ariane Trilogy. The world created by Michelle Dare is full of hope, promise, and mischief. Shifters, Vampires, and Fae – oh my!
I have zero remorse for binge reading these. I couldn’t stop myself and I “Dare” you to even try. The Crucial Shift is the end of the trilogy but there’s no way these characters will be contained.
Filled with sass, snark, and opinions – no one can silence these creatures. I bet even the author has trouble getting a word in edgewise!
I loved, loved, loved these books. It has the excitement of a choose your own adventure novels from when we were kids but without the disappointment of choosing the wrong page. Never are we led down the lame path in the Dr psges. Everything has a purpose and no matter how mad you get, you will see it.
I am now rocking in a corner. Sad and looking for Ford. I need someone to keep me company while the author writes the next story about Avynwood. And FYI, I’m totally Ari. Lol. This is totally autobiographical. Just in case you were wondering, I’m speaking to Michelle about signings…

This was a great story and was very entertaining. Once I started I could not put it down. The chemistry between the hero and heroine is sizzling hot. I would recommend this to anyone that loves a great love story.
Wife she met him things have changed. She knows war is coming and she will lose some close.to her but it may give her a better life with him. What will happen? Will she win the war? What will she gain? See by reading

This is the Third book in the series. And I Love it. This is a read that has a World with Supernaturals in it. They have Epic Magic powers. And a great way of communication. If you love supernatural along with Vampires and Werewolves, you will love it. Ariane’s life had been anything but calm. With the threat of war looming only days away. This is a fast paced read. As you read the book you feel like you go into that world and can visually see whats going on, and live vicariously through it. I highly recommend especially if you love the Supernatural.

4 stars!!!
This story really comes to a head in the final book . You discover a lot of secrets and what Ariane is truly meant to be . O yeah and there is some matting going on . Ariane is truly a badass in this final book . I knew she had it in her and she discovers what and who she is meant to be. We also learn more about all the characters . More loses are had and everyone is ready for some revenge . This last book will grip you and have you gasping at every turn. Great work and i look forward to reading about Wake and Ford.
So, if you follow my reviews, you know that if I start a book or series I have to finish it no matter what. After I fi ished reading the Somber Call, I was on the fence about jumping right into the final book of the Ariane trilogy. Obviously, since I’m writing this review, you know my decision. I am happy to say that The Crucial Shift was much better than its predecessor. I’m still going to give this book 3.5 stars but the writing did improve. Ari’s character had more depth. The storyline was more consistent and flowed smoother. I look forward to following Michelle Dare and exploring what she publishes next.
This is the third book in the series and it is action packed from the start to the end!
The last book brings tragedy and death with the war. Ford, Wake, Rion all want to protect Ari but in the last book Ari gets one more power that no one seen coming and she has to be at one with her new power.
I love how even though Rion is very protective of Ari he understands that Ford and Wake want to protect Ari in ways he can’t even though four people in one bed does not make him happy it’s for protection of all of them.
The last book in the series brings an end to the war and hopefully piece in all the lands between all the shifters. This book also opens stories for Ford and Wake and let me tell you I can’t wait for their stories. I loved this series it was well written and flowed so well. A must read!!
Wow!! Best one of the trilogy!! This trilogy took me on a crazy rollercoaster ride!! So much was revealed in this final installment. Very dramatic and swoonworthy. It had me on the edge of my seat from beginning to end.
5 Avynwood Strong Stars!!!
I’m so in love with this series!!! I’m so happy to see Travis and Benedict finally get what’s coming to them.
This trilogy is so amazing. The wolves and their mates, the vampires, the fae and their ally’s are so amazing that I want to be a part of their world. I don’t want to give away the conclusion to this trilogy so here’s a few bits.
We leave off with Ari and Rion going to The Quivakokd Pack not sure what to expect. The alpha is Merrick and he happens to be Travis’s brother and they weren’t sure if him and his pack would help them. Shocking to both Ari and Rion that Merrick’s mate just happens to be Ari’s Aunt Zayda. She’s Ari’s fathers sister and she happens to be a wolf shifter. Merrick and his pack will help The Avynwood Pack against their fight against Travis.
Ari and Rion finally complete their mating ritual. These two become fierce together. Once they become mated their bond strengthens. They share their powers. Thanks to the gifts Ford has given Ari. They can still read each other’s minds but they both can teleport, have the strength and healing of a vampire.
Ari’s best friend is and always will be Ford. Even though Rion hates their relationship he’d never do anything to Ford bc he’d never cause Ari pain. Ford’s in love with Ari or so he believes. Ford will continue reading Ari’s mind and her dreams. He’d do anything to keep her safe.
Ari’s becomes very close and protective over Rion’s cousin Wake. Travis used him more times then anybody else. Wake went thru hell bc Travis is evil and lives on power and nothing more.
The war that’s coming to The Avynwood Pack is crazier, evil and dirtier than they all originally thought. The Avynwood Pack has ally’s with other shifter pacts as well as other paranormals. If you’ve fallen for Ford and Wake. Be prepared!! There’s 2 new ones you’ll fall for. Solomon, whose Ford’s brother and Kylest, who is a fae.
Needless to say these four men are getting their stories told and I’m stoked!!!
An awesome end to the series. I loved that Ariane ended up being the alpha female. She totally kicked butt in this book. I can’t wait to read the spin off.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, I LOVE this series!! The Crucial Shift is extremely engaging and is jammed pack with non-stop action and creativity throughout the entire book. There’s never a dull moment and I found myself trying to free up every spare second I had in order to read this. I didn’t want to put it down at all. It was a great roller coaster ride of emotions to be taken on. This book has it all from extraordinary characters, action, love, hate, revenge, etc. The characters though…dang, Michelle really outdid herself with each of these. There’s so much more that I want to know about each of them (Ford, Paige, Wake, Kylest and Solomon). Hoping and looking forward to several spin offs in this series! 😉
The Crucial Shift by Michelle Dare is a wonderful story to read. This story is book number three in the series and I fell so in love with this book and series. I can not wait to see what the author writes about next, I highly recommend this story to everyone who loves shifter stories.

The climax fight between the Avynwood Pack with Ariane and Orion against Benedict and Travis (and his pack) is awesome. I enjoyed reading this series and hope that the next one has more of Ford and maybe SIenna in it! A great series and fast read. I absolutely loved it!

Of all three books in this series…..this one is the one that had me not wanting to stop reading until I was done! The Crucial Shift had SO MUCH going on! Just when I thought I couldn’t go down the rabbit hole any deeper….I was mistaken!
Ari’s life has changed so much in each story. Just when I thought there couldn’t be any more twists or turns, this story happened. She has so many powers, so many battles to conquer and so much to learn about good and evil. All of this for a girl who is only 18!
Each story in this trilogy was very well written, the characters were very likeable. If you like paranormal, shifters, vampires, then you’ll fall in this with this story.
Ariane, Orion and the Avynwood pack are gearing up for the inevitable, epic fight with Travis and the paranormals who have aligned with the Diaminsey Pack. Because of Travis’ past actions, everyone is on their toes. With Ari’s new skills, they’re hopeful they will have the advantage.
This is the third and final book in the series and the build-up to the finale couldn’t be any more riveting.
The characters, especially the heroine, has grown so much from the beginning and is very much an atypical teenager. I especially enjoyed learning more of what made Ford who he is.
I loved this series and am saddened to see it end though I am excited to see what is next. This author has become one of my go-to authors. Her imagination is exceptional and her world-building is getting better with every new work.
You need this book and series.
Wow this story will take on the rest of this story the ending of this amazing series. I do hope that more will be written about the others as they will have amazing story’s to read.
So ran as fast as my feet would carry to someplace I could hide to get into this one. Had to know, had to see how would this author leave us with where and how she would take us. Drama high on the horizon she takes us into this last one with Ariane. The journey is exciting but also filled with downs just like for real huh? WE get the all of this author in this one giving us this world and the characters that filled it. We get a amazing ride with a fabulous finish pulling out all the emotional stops along the way. Maybe a spin off or two could come along if we pester enough lol.
Sad to see this trilogy end. I was so invested in these books and characters so Its unfortunate to see the end of Ariane and Rion and their happily ever after. We are promised spin off books for several of the characters that we love.
This book was all about action. We have been preparing for this huge War and we finally get it. This book was jammed pack with tons of fighting between so many different paranormals. Ariane discovers her new powers that to be honest surprised me. And most importantly Orion and Ariane are mated in this read, which is a huge deal.
Orion is amazing he is so dedicated and concerned for Ariane, she is one lucky woman. I did feel like she still didn’t put him and his feeling first. The only part I was not a fan of was how cocky and presumptuous she was. She is a lot newer to this whole world and she was kinda made out to be a huge deal. She was definitely not a little mouse in this last book. I thought the mating was lackluster and I get that this is a YA but it was such a big build up that I was let down. I am still very interested and looking forward to Wake, and Ford getting their own books.
This is book three of this series and the conclusion to Ari’s story. As the well written and gripping story races towards the finish line there is plenty more drama, danger, emotional turmoil and nail biting tension to keep you fully engaged. I loved Ari and Orion. I felt they were perfect for each other and their chemistry was both sweet and steamy. A wonderful book in a terrific series.
