Loved this fun, sexy and action packed series of adventures filled with engaging and exciting charters, witty banter, heart racing twists, emotional turns and thrilling passion. Was a great reading experience from beginning to end and so hard to put down once I started the journey. Excellent reading
I have had the pleasure reading a different series from this author and could not pass this one up. Three great royal stories sure to make you laugh, smile, bring a tear to your eye, fall in love with the characters but most of all leave you with a HEA. Enjoy!

The Crown Jewels series is a romantic comedy. It tells the story of Tessa, a girl who hates the crown prince Arthur, but when they meet, it’s lust at first sight. In this series you can really see the development of their relationship, with all the good and the bad times. I laughed so many times while reading these books. The characters were very funny and I loved them a lot! I would definitely recommend this series to anyone who likes to read romance with a good amount of humor.

The Crown Jewels Boxed Set, by Melanie Summers, is a set of 3 novels and a short story. The problem with reviewing a collection like this is that after the first novel, in order to review the rest, anything you write is a spoiler. I’ll at least put spoiler in caps so a person can read at their own risk.
BOOK 1
I seldom believe it when an author or whoever writes the blurb for a book claims that it’s hilarious. However, The Royal Treatment, the first book in this collection, actually lives up to the hype. It’s absolutely laugh-out-loud hilarious in a number of places; in fact, I chuckled (out loud, no less) for days over several places in the book. Just remembering them was enough to set me off again.
The female protagonist is Tessa Sharpe, the only girl in a family of 5 children and she is teased mercilessly by her brothers. Tessa is a disaster waiting to happen and it always happens at the worst possible times. She runs a blog reviewing various products, as well other blogs pertaining to photography, running and a site about the Royals called The Royal Watchdog. The site about the Royals urges the country to oust the Royal family and leave the running of the country to those who are voted into office. She’s made statements that the Crown Prince and his father, the King, do nothing and thus are unnecessary to the kingdom.
The prime minister, whom the Royals helped into office, is planning to propose a referendum on doing away with the Royal family and turning all power over to the council (to be led by himself, of course). Crown Prince Arthur takes exception to this and asks his closest advisers to identify who is their biggest critic. Both men answer immediately with Tessa’s name. He proposes to invite her to live in the palace for 2 months and shadow him so that she can see exactly what they do for the country. His reasoning is that all he has to convince is 1 person and that person will convince the rest of the country. Much to his (and her) surprise, Tess accepts his offer and moves into the palace.
Will Arthur’s plan work or will Tess continue to be critical of the Royal family? Will a referendum actually be proposed? And if so, how will the vote go? To find out the answer to these and other questions, you’ve got to read the book. It’s a really, really good book and you’ll be glad you did!

BOOK 2
The second part of the collection is The Royal Engagement, a short story. The title is pretty self-explanatory as to what the story is about. Arthur has planned a special outing to ask Tessa to marry him; after all, what could possibly go wrong? He’s forgotten about Tessa’s predilection to be a disaster magnet. Altogether, this is a cute story.

BOOK 3
The third part of the collection is The Royal Wedding, again, pretty self-explanatory. However, the real story is how Arthur and Tessa actually make it to the alter. Tessa is from a middle-class family and she now finds herself rubbing elbows with the rich and famous elite (at least when any of them deign to get close enough to her to rub elbows). She knows that she’s just as good as any of them, but she does find it rather intimidating.
Tessa especially has a problem with Lady Doctor Brooke Beddingfield. The lady doctor seems to be perfect in every way; she’s beautiful, graceful, intelligent and born to Arthur’s world. She and Arthur have a long history together and Brooke is the woman that the country wants Arthur to marry. How does Tessa overcome this and how does she convince Arthur that the lady doctor would like to be more than a friend to him?
Arthur asks his grandmother to throw a wedding shower for Tessa. The day of the shower, about 200 snooty women show up for the dinner (no gifts, please). Tessa’s mother tries to liven thing up by planning some games that would be played if the shower were held in Tessa’s neighborhood. Is this a success?
The wedding planner, the second best in the world, is like a little Hitler. He tells Tessa that she must lose at least 20 pounds before the wedding, although Arthur likes Tessa just like she is; if he wanted an anorexic bride, he could have found one among all the women that move in his world.
Arthur’s sister Arabella doesn’t like Tessa, although she’s never taken the time to get to know her. Tessa spends Christmas at Didsbury, a 700-year-old castle built from stone in a beautiful setting, with Arthur, Arabella, and his grandmother, Princess Florence. Will this be the time when a miracle happens and she is finally accepted by Arabella?
This was an excellent book and it was lovely to see Tessa grow from a somewhat insecure woman to one who could hold her own. There were some humorous parts to this book, but I found it to be more serious than the first book. However, keep in mind that Tessa is still a disaster magnet!

BOOK 4
The fourth and final part of the collection is The Royal Delivery. Although there were definitely good parts to this book, I didn’t much care for a lot of the book. I don’t find it amusing when someone vomits into the soup of the person next to them or into trash bins during a meeting. This is 2020 and if a woman is experiencing morning sickness (all day long) to the extent that Tessa is, there are drugs that will alleviate that (which she finally discovers). I didn’t like the descriptions of how Tessa stuffed her face full of food all day long, nor did I like how she treated Arthur during the pregnancy.
That being said, Tessa does find some constructive activities during the pregnancy that bring her to the people’s attention, and for once, in a good way.
There’s not a whole lot more I can say about the book without giving away things that I don’t want to give away. All I can say is that the good parts are really good and make the book worth reading. Besides, you might find some of the descriptions I didn’t like to be amusing!

Here is a boxed set of laughter as royalty meets commoner, including the titles: The Royal Treatment, The Royal Wedding, The Royal Delivery, and a short addition titled The Royal Engagement.
The books will give the characters obstacles in their paths so that the reader can find the humor in what seems like it should be so easy to fix. But nothing is ever actually easy, and the humor will get us through anything life throws at us. Even with a few tears, they won’t last and they can make a relationship stronger. Then you can expect the busy-body interfering relatives who know best what should be done. You may recognize a few of them from your own experiences. At the end of it all, you WILL be entertained! It shows the humor in all that life brings us and I think you will enjoy this set.
A great collection of stories that will give you laugh out loud moments. Each story is well written and the characters are fantastic. Story lines that are captivating and pull you in and hold your attention throughout each story. A great collection for your summer time reading.

This is a collection of family drama that makes you laugh- and makes you really happy the drama belongs to someone else!
Relatives are crazy when they feel entitled to mess in other people’s lives – and there are literally nations of folks with their own criticisms and over-actively shared opinions
Lust, love, so much laughter and meddling, and baby drama for the ages!

Laugh-Out-Loud Funny Romance
What a fun series! It is definitely R rated for Sex and Language, but quite readable. This is a Romantic-Comedy series that is funny without being slapstick. It addresses all the aspects of new love, the adjustments of 2 very different backgrounds and the need for self respect and confidence. This is a long series. I never got bored and was sorry to see it end. I have read another series by this author and have greatly enjoyed that one, too. I received this ARC book for free from Booksprouts and this is my honest review.
I absolutely loved reading this boxset of The Crown Jewels . This series is wonderful . It starts with the meeting of Prince Arthur , Duke of Wellingbourne and Internet Blogger Tessa Sharpe . Their growing relationship and their struggles . Then the second book is The Royal Wedding and all that intales . Not to forget all the humerous happenings and the serious moments . The final story is The Royal Pregnancy and Birth and all that they all go through. This is one of the best boxsets and series . It will have you laughing and sometimes angry but it is definitely heartwarming and very entertaining. I highly recommend taking the time to read .

I always prefer to read a series as a boxed set. This series consists of three full books, THE ROYAL TREATMENT, THE ROYAL WEDDING, and THE ROYAL DELIVERY and a short THE ROYAL ENGAGEMENT as book 1.5.
The series will tug at all of your emotions for its humor, passion, tenderness, family, and healing.
Tessa is a fierce and passionate commoner set up to meet the Crown Prince Arthur of Avonia. Arthur is the ultimate Prince Charming. Their differences bring them together despite many obstacles put in their way. They have to decide who they are as a couple without losing what first drew them to each other in an environment that did not favor their union.
The first book is about the meeting, getting to know one another and their families, and courtship. The second book is about the wedding planning, the consequences of “keeping little things from each other” and staying true to oneself. Book three is about their first pregnancy and the challenges of emotions, public opinion and supporting each other.
I loved the series. I laughed out loud often. These are seriously funny books and I admire the author’s ability to keep that same tone through all three. Then there were tears. Summers made me feel the sadness just as deeply as the humor. You will enjoy this series, so read it as a box set while you can.

After reading the first book, I just had to keep reading and was glad to find the collection of the first three books! The stories of how Arthur met Tess, then married, and then had their babies is so sweet and funny. The books had me laughing out loud one minute and tearing up the next remembering my own wedding, pregnancy and in law stories! Great series!

This trilogy is so much fun. Enemies to lovers, political schemes, and with just enough family drama to make it interesting but not angsty. This trilogy is finished so no waiting for the new reader. But, interwoven through the fun fluff, are real issues including class differences. Be prepared to laugh out loud while rooting for Tessa and Arthur’s evolving relationship.
The books are laugh-out-loud relatable! Okay, so the Royal part may not be relatable, obviously! But the characters themselves definitely have traits I see in myself and others. The first book immediately took my mind back to Jennifer Cruise’s books, as both authors are so hilarious, which got me hooked on Melanie Summers. Since then, I’ve read all her books and have loved every one of them. Especially the Crown Jewels set, as they occur at the same time as the Prince Harry and Meghan (or to be politically correct now JUST Harry and Meghan LOL), so it’s easy to kind of imagine while enjoying to get to know the characters. Read the series and all her other books. You won’t regret it!
I absolutely love this series. It has it all…enemies to lovers, jealous exes, interfering family members, laugh out loud comedy, romance, emotional outbursts, it even has a pig, cat and a fish. I didn’t want it to end. I enjoyed it so much that I still continue to reread them. This is my favorite Royal romance book. A must read.
