Wife to a gambler who took one too many risks, Rahab finds herself sold as a slave to cover her husband’s debt. Forced into prostitution by Dabir, counselor to the Syrian king, Rahab despairs of ever regaining her freedom and her self-respect. But when Israelite spies enter Jericho and come to lodge at her house, Rahab sees a glimmer of hope and the opportunity of a lifetime. In one risky moment, … moment, she takes a leap of faith, puts her trust in a God she does not know, and vows to protect the spies from the authorities. When the armies of Israel arrive weeks later, Rahab hopes they will keep their promise, but she has no idea what kind of challenges await her outside Jericho’s walls–or if she will ever know the meaning of love.
Under Jill Eileen Smith’s talented hand, the familiar story of Rahab bursts forth in high definition. Readers will find themselves fully immersed in a world of dark and dusty streets, clandestine meetings, and daring escapes as a mysterious biblical figure claims her full humanity–and a permanent place in readers’ hearts.

An interesting view of Rahab – from her perspective – author was careful to go along with the Biblical history.
Well written
Interesting
very rich with biblical history – excellent read
Although this book is not a true story it is still very interesting!! The writer makes you feel like you were there while you are reading it!! I loved reading this book
I think we sometimes pass over the significance of the story of Rahab. This book defines the importance of her life and the part she played in the history of the
Israelis. Very informative and an interesting look at the whole issue of Gods forgiveness and love!
Great fictional account of the biblical story of Rahab. I look forward to reading the other books by this author about women in the bible
First, I know this isn’t a story written entirely on fact, but there were many facts included. I gained a perspective of how Rahab’s life story might have played out. I did enjoy it and will probably read it again in the future.
wonderful story. and a true accounding of Bible story.
A great introduction into Rahab’s story beyond the pages of scripture. The most intriguing historical element in this story is the comparison of one of Jericho’s moon festivals to the marching around the walls of Jericho by the Israelites. This is a beautiful story of redemption.
I love Christian fiction and always learn something about an area, living conditions or thoughts of those living in O.T. times. The book did not preach, but told the story of one woman who gave up family to become a believer.
This story of Rahab, based on the Biblical narrative, brought the many facets of Rahab’s story to light. Although it is fiction, seeing the possible details of her life and the society around her gave additional meaning to the biblical account. I have been enriched by this story.
I love fictional work based off of stories of the Christian bible. It helps to bring the lessons/history/people to a whole new light. Very well written, researched and delivered. I look forward to reading more from this author.
I love the way the author portrayed Rahab. A very good book!
I loved that it made Rahab’s story from the Bible come alive!
Really enjoyed it. Knew the basic story but was delighted with details that fleshed it out.
I enjoyed it very much. I liked the spiritual growth of the main characters. I would like to read the rest of the series.
Loved the story of Rehab who I’ve admired as a strong heroine in the Bible and whose faith not only saved her life but led to her inclusion in the lineage of David and Jesus. The story was based on truth but with the author’s fill in on what might have been. It made for very enjoyable reading and encouragement for the redemption of the lost.
A very interesting and believable story about a little known Bible character. A great story of redemption. The ending has a sweet surprise.
Best book I have read for a while!
