Every story has a beginning. This one started with a girl named Alice.Lewis was everything my mother wanted for me. Respectable. Wealthy. Not too handsome. Utterly perfect in every way. Then why did I run on our wedding day?Returning to Wonderland wasn’t my intention, but now I’m finding out those things I thought were a dream are real. And they are so much more dangerous and delicious than I … dangerous and delicious than I remembered.
Lost in Wonderland with the queen out for my head the last thing I’m worried about is getting back to my liar fiancé and the inhabitants are doing their best to tempt me to stay.
A full length fairy tale romance leading into a full series.

Finished ” The Crimes of Alice ” in 1 day. Again another book of hers I could not put down. Can read before or after you read Erins ” Underground Series ” It all ties in seamlessly. I can’t wait to read next one.
This is an interesting take on the Alice in Wonderland story. I enjoyed reading a rewritten version that is so different than the original. The book ended on a slight cliffhanger that makes me need to go find the next book and start it soon to see what happens next. I look forward to seeing what else this author can come up with.
The Crimes of Alice by Erin Bedford is a great story to read. Ths story is about an adult Alice in Wonderland and it was a great story to read. I didn’t think I would enjoy this story but I did and I recommend this story to all.

If you’ve read the classic “Alice in Wonderland”, forget it. This is a new approach to Alice’s adventures, an adult version and a reverse harem. Alice, an adult now, returns to Wonderland thinking she’s dreaming, only to discover that not only she’s not dreaming but that things were not as she thought. Finding out and understanding what this place means to her, Alice has to make a choice. Whether it’s the right one… I think the title says it all. Read on to find out!
I loved the way Erin Bedford depicted the characters of Alice and Wonderland. They make more sense, and yet the craziness of the place is still there. Wonderfully written, Ms. Bedford has a way with words that makes them flow like a calm river and the plot keeps you rooted to the pages till the last page. I haven’t read the rest of the series, but I’ll definitely do!

Bedford has a knack for taking a well known fairy tale and twisting it. I loved her boxed set Beauty and the Hunter and this prequel to the Alice series has me wanting more. I am eagerly looking forward to the rest of the series. Alice starts out seeming a little dull in life but the book and Alice’s life comes alive as the story continues. Bedford’s wonderland is the adult version of the beloved wonderland of Lewis Carroll and Alice has quite the steamy adventures. Pick this one up if you are looking for a fun twist on Alice in Wonderland.
If you love or hate Alice in Wonderland then this book will change your mind. This book definitely isn’t for the under 18’s and the best part is your going to love the characters. I was disappointed when I finished this book I just wish I could have kept reading.

Having not read the “Chasing” series that this book is a prequel it was a great glimpse into the world to which this Alice enters, the spin on names, the places and how there are plenty of hot guys us great. I will never think of the tweedle brothers the same! The way the book starts and what happens to Alice right before the wedding makes you you really feel for her and to be fair I think I would go down the rabbit hole as well!! I can not wait to read the rest of the series now to find out more about Alice and the wonderful world she visits.

Highly entertaining, fun, engaging and action packed adventure that is filled with danger, secrets and the magical setting of Wonderland…. Loved it, was a quick as well as thrilling to read. Looking forward to more from this series and excited to visit the amazing world again.
This was a wonderful Alice story. It was an intensely wild ride from the get-go. I loved it soooo much. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book in exchange for a free copy.
I really enjoyed Erin Bedford’s unique, twisted, and steamy take on the Alice in Wonderland story. Although derived from the original, the author puts her own creative spin on the tale. Her story drew me in and kept me turning pages until the end wanting to know what would happen next. I definitely loved the sexy times in this very adult retelling, and I am looking forward to Chasing Rabbits (the next book in the Underground series).

The Crimes of Alice takes us on an amazing journey with Alice into Wonderland. Alice is torn between returning to the fiance she ran from on their wedding day or staying in Wonderland. This book is a fantastic read! I loved this prequel to The Underground Series and I am anxious to read the rest of the series.
Return to Wonderland…
As the Cheshire Cat in “Alice in Wonderland said: “Every adventure requires a first step”. This is the first step in Ms. Bedford’s “Underground” series. Anyone who has read that series knows Alice caused some trouble but we didn’t know the full story. Now we are getting the opportunity to find out what really happened. I’m so happy and excited!! I absolutely loved the “Underground” series and can’t wait to return to Wonderland….

OMG YES !!!! Back in the same world that the Underground series is in and this time we focus on Alice and her side of the story!!! While you do not need to read the Underground series to understand what is going on, why would you want to miss a great series. Since the focus of this book is based on Alice we get to see exactly what kind of chaos she deals with. It is so hard to give praise to this book without giving spoilers, so just go get it and read it for yourself to see just how good it is.

Alice in Wonderland turned on its head in this story.
Lewis Carroll a bit of a rogue who just wants the story elements Alice can share about her fantastical world.
A widowed mother determined to keep her silent in order to preserve any chance her other daughters might have at marrying.
Fantastical – and even a bit orgasmic the In Between, and the Underworld are really no place like home.

Ok, so this is the first out of the entire series that I’ve read (the series being the “Chasing ___” books) and I’m not exactly sure what to think at this point. The first quarter of the book was kind of hum-drum to me. It had more of a flavor of the original Alice in Wonderland. The book isn’t boring, by any means, but the first 25% or so gives the feeling that Alice’s life isn’t overly thrilling. The only things that she feels are interesting are her dreams, of this wondrous place called “Wonderland.” Later, we realize those dreams aren’t just imaginings of her mind, after all, but memories.
The middle section of the book doesn’t explore the memories well, as it seems she has forgotten most everything about the land she is now visiting. There are some good steamy scenes that are abruptly interrupted and I swear it made me want to figuratively strangle Erin Bedford for that… Don’t worry, though. Alice gets her fun before the end of the book. And a very lovely steamy sexy fun, it is. Is it bad to be jealous of a character?
Hopefully, the next book in this portion of the series isn’t so much of a tease.

A return to the Underground! To Wonderland! This time Erin Bedford takes us back to the beginning. Back to when the Underground was beginning to fray and the Shadows were spreading their mischief to bring about the downfall of all. This time its Alice’s turn. This is Alice’s story and how she came to be what she now is and how she came to be where she was when we met her in Chasing Rabbits.
The Crimes of Alice is the perfect prequel to the Underground series. I appreciate how the author takes us back to the beginning. The familiar story of Alice being to “Wonderland” as a child has already happened and now she is about to return unexpectedly. The reintroductions of many of the characters in this book are both fun and heated. Alice certainly has a whirlwind of things going on and soon is quite enjoying herself as she enjoys the ups and runs from the downs. I like how the author allows the reader to essentially experience all of this almost seems like it’s the first time for the reader as well. I’ve read the Underground series to completion, but I loved feeling like I was experiencing all of this like it was brand new.
There is nothing that I didn’t like about this story. The storyline is engaging from beginning to end and I appreciate the twists that the author writes in. The humans in the regular world are shown to be exactly what that time period demanded that they be. The characters are unique and engaging and then, of course, the Underground is just as fascinating as in book one.
I am rating this book 5 out of 5 stars. This author has brought a fresh taste to her series that is sure to delight readers of the Underground and those who are new to the series as well. Be warned though this book does end on a cliffhanger. I squealed with frustration, but with the promise of more to come, I’m more than happy to wait. This is a must read for those who like retellings, steamy romance, and just the right amount of darkness.

Erin Bedford’s The Crimes of Alice is s fantastic sequel to the classic Alice in Wonderland story with an adult Aluce fleeing from her liar of a fiancé back to Wonderland and to real adventure, thrills and romance. Welcome back to the Underground for fans of that series. You’ll be happy to be back. For newcomers, though, don’t worry as this stands alone perfectly – even if I strongly suspect you’ll be intrigued enough to want more stories set here (and you’ll be happy to find them). But for the fact that I’m literally dictating this review to my husband from my hospital bed I could go on and on with praises – the book definitely deserves it. Since I can’t do that I will simply note that the book is most definitely one to read, it is easy to highly recommend.
The Underground Series is one of my favorites by the author and this prequel did not disappoint! Alice offers a glimpse in to what started it all for the Underground Series. Alice runs away from fiancee and discovers Wonderland is a real place and is not what it seems. It’s a great read and a great intro into a magnificent series. I volunteered to read this book through Booksprout.
I enjoyed reading this book , it has a new twist on an old fairy tale. I can’t wait for more from this author. I received this book as a FREE ARC copy to read and I voluntarily leave this review.
I’m really loving getting to see more of Alice. I loved her and her crazy in the original series and I’m loving that she gets her own series. Once you add in the fact that Alice is going to get her own harem I think I may end up loving this series even more than I loved the original series.
