She’s unique. Different. The moment we met I was gone. Long gone. From her pink hair to her vintage Converse sneakers. I have to have her and I always get what I want. Even if it means my dark secret could be exposed. My addiction to her might ruin my career. Maybe even my life.I’m the most badass goalie the NHL has ever seen and my save percentage is inspiring. Almost as impressive as my … my chiseled body and ahem…other huge assets. I can snag any explosive rebound, any one-timer from the point and anything else that flies my way. I’ll lead my team to the Stanley Cup or die trying.
But my desire for Kylie puts my Hall of Fame career on the line. That and him. A vicious sociopathic blast from the past that I thought I’d never have to see again. And never wanted to. I’m a rich, famous hockey player–she’s a personal assistant. On paper we don’t fit. But there’s one place where we fit. Like a glove.
I have a stellar career and family obligations so I know I shouldn’t get involved with her. It’s too perilous. I can’t fall…risk losing my heart. But for the first time, I woman sees me. The real me. Not some walking wallet that distributes Benjamins like a malfunctioning ATM. And I sure as hell want her. Her tempting curves beg me to take it all.
But she’s been hiding something from me too. She has a secret that threatens to destroy us both. Even worse than mine. And so the superstar goalie is actually afraid. Because if either of those secrets see the light of day, it’s over.
Done.

You’ll fall in love with the quirky Kylie and hockey jock Shredder from the get go! Can’t wait to read her next book!
Kylie keep things close to her and does not let others in. Shedder has his own secrets he keep hidden. When they meet their chemistry and passion will melt the ice. This story is well written with the right amount of drama, tension and passion that will have you lost in the story.

This sports romance is about two people with secrets they want to keep buried. Shredder is the new goalie for the hockey team Rochester Riot. Kylie is just a Personal Assistant of Eloise, from The Shot with Cole the center on the team. Anyway Kylie grew up mainly on the streets after running away from the orphanage so she hides behind color and sass. Shredder has his own secrets and when these two meet at a party sparks fly and the goalie scores but as in all romance there is trouble on the horizon. What exactly did Kylie do to survive on the streets.

I really like Kylie. I like her quirk and her spark and her snark. I like the writing and I like the story. I like Shredder. He is somewhat no nonesense. I like him best so far in this series.

What a good story and good addition to the sports series “Rochester Riot”. This is a steamy story where opposites definitely attract. Kylie and Shredder were introduced in the previous story. These two couldn’t be anymore different. Their story is nicely developed but did seem kind of rushed in the end. The story is sweet and fun with a twist that makes it more interesting.
The uniqueness of the characters gave this story an emotional connection for me. Not everyone is a cookie cutter model of a human being and the author crafted likable, relatable and lovely characters for this story. Another fabulous read.

I love hockey so I was excited to read The Crease by Colleen Charles. I am so glad I did. Kylie works as Eloise’s PA for the Rochester Riot hockey team and Shredder is the new goalie. Both have pasts but despite this they can’t deny they attraction. Kylie and Shredder were simply amazing together and I definitely plan to go back and read Eloise and Cole’s story.

The Crease (Rochester Riot Book Two) by Colleen Charles. This is book two in new hockey series but can be read as a standalone. I read book one and actually enjoyed this story more than the first. I liked the chemistry between Sheldon and Kylie and the strengths each one brought to their relationship. Good hockey romance with plenty of drama, damaged characters, passion, and persistence. Colleen Charles did a great job on The Crease, it was a good story. The plot was strong, it was filled with many emotions, the story was written well. Kylie and Shredder were strong characters, their journey may have had it’s bumps along the way but they were good for each other. The connection and chemistry between them was strong, they were drawn to one another, they were good together.
I enjoyed this story. Thanks, Colleen Charles. Good work 🙂

This was a cute story! Kylie is so sweet and you just feel for her with her past. And Shredder is pretty cool too though you kind of wonder if he is too much of a momma’s boy. However, they are both great together, and I just love their banter back and forth. And their first date – I almost died laughing! This was a fun and entertaining romance!

I loved Shredder and Kylie! I thought the attraction and chemistry was spot on between these two. I felt for these characters and the troubled pasts that they had endured. The story kept me engaged as it unfolded with a combination of emotions, drama, suspense and romance. A very entertaining read. I am freely posting a frank review.
Kylie is back and the main event in this story! She meets Shredder and doesn’t believe he could really ever be interested in a girl like her. Kylie has a unique backstory (I’ll let you discover it for yourself) that makes her feel unwanted and Shredder has a secret (or 2, or 3) that no one knows about. I loved the intricacy of the plot and the depth of the characters. There was never a dull moment in this book! A great continuation of this series with a character that, I’m sure, everyone fell in love with in the first book.
