Christy Baritt never disappoints. Love her writing
Brings awareness that is chilling and concerning. Well written.
This book was totally different from other books I have read. The villain was not obvious at first, but even when you knew who it was, you were not sure how things could be resolved. I do like clean books and was happy to read this one! There is enough action and the characters are realistic…. Great book!
Another good one by Christy. Kept me guessing.
It was a quick easy read…no off color stuff, just a good old story! Characters were well “built” and it did have a good story line, intrigue. Enjoyed very much.
I love all Christy Barrett”s books
I always read Christy Barrett’s books because they never disappoint.
Christy Barritt gives readers a little different romantic suspense. Well, the romance is true-to-form but there’s an interesting twist with the suspense (and that’s all I’ll say about that because I don’t want to give anything away).
When someone breaks into Sienna’s home and attempts to take the baby she’s been entrusted with, her somewhat reclusive neighbor promises his protection. As danger follows and finds them, their attraction is swift and encompassing.
Both Sienna and Devin have dealt with their losses (which come in different forms) in different ways. Sienna has pressed on while Devin has mired himself in grief, building a barrier against letting anyone in. Will it take another tragedy before Devin discovers love again?
This fast-paced hike through the mountains of Colorado makes The Cradle Conspiracy a page-turning read that will keep you guessing who wants baby Colby so desperately.

This was the first book I’d read by Christy Barritt. I’d heard other readers talk about how good she was and finally got a chance to see for myself that she was indeed a very good suspense writer. I thoroughly enjoyed this book. The characters were believable, the plot was tight and the writing well done. I will read more by this author.
This story was a very well written mystery! I’ve always enjoyed Christy Barritt’s books, and this one was a treat to read. Without giving any spoilers, I will say the story had me guessing and when I finally figured it out, the tale reached an un-put-downable conclusion. The characters were wonderful. You came to love and enjoy Sienna’s sweet but strong attitude. Devin is well developed as a grieving FBI agent who has to learn that life goes on. There were some great twists and turns in this novel set high in the mountains of Colorado. If you aren’t familiar with Barritt as an author, I highly recommend her books. This story, like all her books, are clean- no language or gratuitous violence or adult themes.
In the second installment of The Baby Protectors (the first book is The Baby Assignment, but both are stand-alones), two neighbors but complete strangers, are thrown together to save the life of a baby and to solve the mystery of his missing mom. Sienna agrees to take care of young Colby when his mother, Anita goes out of town to help her mother during surgery, Sienna is surprised but happy to do so. When Anita doesn’t return on time, and Sienna can’t reach her, she is worried. But worry turns to terror when someone breaks in to try and kidnap Colby. Next door neighbor, Devin, is an FBI on a break, trying to survive the sudden loss of his wife and child. Devin comes to the rescue when Sienna screams, and they end up on the run, hiding from unknown kidnappers and trying to unravel the mystery of Anita and Colby. But all is not as it seems. The plot thickens and twists and turns, putting all their lives in danger. Can they find Anita before the kidnapper succeeds? Is Anita who she claims to be? Will they lose their lives trying to protect Colby? You won’t be disappointed with this suspenseful mystery by Christy Barritt.
I received a copy of this book with no obligation except to write an honest review.
I was hooked from page one! The Cradle Conspiracy, the newest novel by Christy Barritt, is page-turning suspense at it’s finest. Sienna is watching a baby for a coworker when an intruder threatens to harm both of them. They escape and her neighbor Devin comes to their rescue. Devin, an FBI agent, vows to protect both of them. It is a race against time as Sienna and Devin try to figure out who is after them because it is clear they want the baby and will do whatever it takes to get him. Readers will continue to wonder who can be trusted and just who is behind all of this. The book kept me guessing until the end. Not only will readers be on the edge of their seats, but they will also enjoy watching the relationship develop between Sienna who was jilted in the past and Devin who is getting over the grief of losing his wife and daughter.
I was given a copy of this novel in exchange for an honest review.
Intense suspense
Clear your schedule for The Cradle Conspiracy. You’ll want to read this in one sitting.
Page one opens with intense action and a multitude of questions surrounding baby Colby, whom Sienna initially has for a few days. His mom is missing and the home intruder is scary dangerous and determined to take Colby. Thankfully, FBI neighbor Devin arrives to help. Join them through the twists of the Colorado mountains and beyond to discover the truth about all involved.
I received a complimentary copy of the book without obligation. This review is my opinion.
Love Inspired Suspense novels fit a formula. With The Cradle Conspiracy, Christy Barritt followed that formula, but she still created a story worth reading and devouring. I read the novel in a couple of hours. The tension was non-stop, and the romance was completely predictable. The writing is top notch though. Barritt displayed again why she is a wonderful writer in the mysteries and romantic suspense department. I really liked how Barritt took a twist on an old, original idea and made it her own. The Cradle Conspiracy is definitely a book for fans of Lynette Eason and Susan Sleeman, who also write for Love Inspired Suspense.
I received a complimentary copy of The Cradle Conspiracy by Christy Barritt through Love Inspired Suspense, but the opinions stated are all my own.
Great book by an awesome author! When someone tries to kidnap the baby that Sienna is watching, FBI agent/neighbor Devin not only stops the kidnapping but works with Sienna to help discover the reason – and what has happened to the mother. As they uncover clue after clue, they not only learn that the baby is in danger but their very lives! Can they solve this mystery before someone else dies? This story will have you guessing until the end.
