Coopers: 2, Turners: 1 With the Coopers taking the lead again in the battle for Chance Creek’s Founder’s Prize, Liam Turner is determined to put his family back on top. And if that means kidnapping his secret childhood crush, Tory Cooper, well—a cowboy’s got to do what a cowboy’s got to do. Tory set herself one rule when she returned to Chance Creek: don’t get involved—with her own family or … get involved—with her own family or anyone else. As soon as she’s finished with law school, she’s leaving again, and she won’t be back. But her family won’t get the message—and Liam Turner is a problem on a whole different level. Handsome, smart and determined, he won’t shake easily.
And she’s not sure she wants him to.
Now the summer’s heating up—and so is the trouble for both their families. Soon they won’t be fighting each other—they’ll be fighting for their lives.

I continue to be amazed by Ms Seton’s extraordinary ability to not only create such amazingly wonderful characters and bring them to life, but to have these incredible story lines/story arcs ~ within each book and throughout the series ~ KUDOS! and THANK YOU, again, for these stories!
Tory left home after graduation, she had managed to put herself through school. Now she was home to complete her law degree. It didn’t take Liam long to decide she needed to stay. Very good story
Fun, romantic easy read that I couldn’t put down
If you’ve been following this series, you know that Turners and Coopers just can’t keep their hands off of each other. Mix in lies and old family secrets, and you’ve got a recipe for danger… and love! Can’t wait to read about Steele next!
Liam wants to put his family back on top. Tory is back in Chance Creek but can’t wait to get out again. Liam has always had a crush on Tory. She shouldn’t want to be with Liam but not sure she doesn’t want to explore it.
I have loved all of Cora Seton’s books but this is one I can see rereading.
Thank you for your review.
Once again, Ms Seton has created a tale that will have you riding an emotional roller coaster from page one to the end. Her characters are captivating, endearing and real! The story addresses real issues that a lot of people can not only relate to, but have experienced.
Who could have ever guessed just how interwoven the Turners and the Coopers truly were, right back to the roots, beginning with Virginia and Jed. Generations of love and hate, with most of the ones left standing clueless as to how it all began. But when the town starts to fall, you can rest easy knowing that these two families will do everything in their power to make it right.
With Liam and Tory spearheading the rescue of the local dialysis unit, both from opposing sides, close quarters just may lead to yet another coupling between these two feuding families. Yet, someone nearby has other plans for these two.
Full of suspense, excitement and of course, lots of love, this episode is sure to keep you on the edge of your chair. I anxiously await for the next book in this series. Here’s hoping it’s Steele and Stella’s story.
I was gifted a copy of this book and am voluntarily giving my honest opinion.
I loved Liam and Tory’s story! Liam was all in with Tory, he just had to convince her that she really wanted to stay. Tory was single minded in pursuit of her dreams, but that ended up damaging her family relationships. But throw in some competition and some romance, and she started looking for how to mend things. I CANNOT wait to read Steel’s story!!!
While this is book four in the Turners vs. Coopers series, I think it is my favorite so far! This was one was much less focused on the ongoing feud and more about the developing affair with Liam and Tory. Not to say that feud isn’t alive and well with everyone making incorrect assumptions about those Coopers or Turners. I really enjoyed how both Liam and Tory came together to support one another as they both tried to reconcile the needs of the family against their own life dreams all the while finding something between the two of them worth fighting for. However, I have to say that as much as I enjoyed this story, I really can’t wait to get to Steel’s story, especially with the way this book ended!
Liam has been in love with Tory since they were kids, he just doesn’t know it yet. With the founders prize still up for grabs, he needs to come up with a plan. Liam mother is back for the wedding, but he doesn’t trust her because she want the farm sold. Today’s mum is back also & wants to make a mends. Liam is going away for a brake & ends up taking Tory with him!
Loved this next installment in the series – so well written that you can easily appreciate why the misunderstandings happened.
Gives more insight into the feud between the two families, this still rumbles on despite several marriages between them.
Can’t wait for the next book – think that Steel has many secrets and we will come to see him in a new light.
With three families in a 3-way tie for the Founder’s prize of the Ridley property the Turners and the Coopers are both turning up the heat in an all out battle for the property each is in dire need of. With the drought worsening both ranches are in desperate need of gaining control of the water Pittance Creek could provide. But even with a multi-generational feud it seems the newest generation can’t seem to fight off the love that keeps growing between the two families, and now it seems Liam and Tory are the latest caught up in it. However, both will struggle to balance new love with family loyalty in an attempt to save their ranch. But at what cost?
I received an ARC and voluntarily offer this review.
Tory and Liam, restless 20 somethings back in their hometown and feeling the weight of their families’ problems on their shoulders. Their families have long been enemies, and they should be, too, right? After a wedding, Tory and Liam ditch their families and responsibilities and ride off for a quiet evening at a nearby lake…and so their relationship begins. The author deftly makes them seem like real people in your own hometown. Readers will want to root for them to find an HEA right from the start as they allow sadness or maybe loneliness to turn to joy.
Liam is trying to save his family’s ranch, and Tory is determined to make enough money to attend law school. Can they grow enough as individuals to see a future together? An enemies to lovers story with a lot of heart. I appreciated the honest reactions to events that they share with each other.
This book can be read as a standalone but is part of a series. I am anxiously waiting for the next story of the Chance Creek cowboys to come out and hope to glimpse Tory and Liam again in it.
What I like most about Ms. Seton’s books is the story-telling that she brings to each story. This one is no exception. There’s just something so pleasant about all the Chance Creek books. Just like with their siblings Liam and Tory have some obstacles to overcome, but at this point it was more of their own issues rather than coming from the families. Tory and Liam both had some growing to do, and I could see it developing. Particularly as more information about both sets of parents came out, and they had to face what really happened. At one point both families had to come together more than ever, although there is still some of the animosity that they’ve had for years. It’s lovely to see the changes happening, and how neighbors are also working to help them bury the hatchet. There were a few surprises as well, which brought more emotion than I had expected. And it all starts with Liam and Tory stealing time away from their families.
I feel like it’s been awhile since a Turner versus Cooper book was out, so I was worried that I’d struggle to jump back in. That was not the case at all. The author did a great job at recapping and refreshing the ongoing story. Although sometimes Liam and tory’s relationship felt like it moved quickly, there is so much history between the two families it wasn’t unbelievable. This series is getting better with each book, with multiple layers of storyline
I love this Turners vs. Coopers feud, especially since each of the guys seems to be stuck on each of the girls. Liam and Tory are no different as they try to save their respective ranches along with their hearts. From crush to circumstances beyond what either of them realized, they work together and against each other, putting their lives in danger. It was exciting and sweet and funny with some heat in the middle. And I loved every minute of it. Waiting for the next one is going to be a real chore.
Another spectacular read from Cora Seton in the Turner’s vs the Cooper’s series. I really like the small town feel of these stories and this one is no different. The family dynamics is so interesting and now the ‘battle lines’ are getting blurred because of the intermingling of the families. Tory Cooper is the one who takes off, while Liam is the one keeping things going. But these two share some desires. This book also starts to unravel ‘truths’ that aren’t at all what they seem. Their moms start to overcome years of issues. The families work together to save the farms after a fire breaks out on the ‘prize’ property. And, I really want to know more about Steel Cooper! Great read!
Once again it is Cooper v Turner. Just who will get the prize. Liam and Tory both have their individual dramas but life has a way of bringing them together to move forward.
This is a delightful and well written story with likeable characters and an intriguing storyline which I really enjoyed.
This is the latest installment in the Turners vs Coopers series. It was interesting to get to know the two main characters as they weren’t always overly likable or relatable in previous books. The backstory rectified that. It was a good read and a good continuation of the overall story.
It was an enjoyable read but I must admit it’s the next book in the series I am very excited for!
The Cowboy’s Stolen Bride, is book four in the Turners vs Coopers series. Liam and Tory both belong to families that have been at odds for many years. Can they work together to help save the hospital? As with all of Cora’s books they are so well written, tug at your heartstrings and keep you turning the pages as you read to find out how the book will end. I would certainly recommend this book to others. I received an Advanced Readers Copy of the book from the author and this is my fair and honest review.
The Coopers and Turners have been feuding for years. But now, while it seems like the feud would be getting bigger (and in some ways it is) with the Founder’s Prize at stake, the lines are becoming blurred as the Coopers and Turners have started marrying each other. The book starts at a Cooper/Turner wedding. Unfortunately Liam is having an unwanted discussion with his mom and he needs to escape, enter Tory Cooper. Liam grabs Tory to dance and this is when the fun begins.
While this dance starts to stir things inside both Liam and Tory, they separate but not for long. Both rush out of the wedding quickly and Tory is escaping the wedding and town with Liam. But it wouldn’t be a great Cooper/Turner read without drama and there’s lots. Tory can’t wait to start law school, get her degree and leave again. Liam, on the otherhand, loves the town and wants to save his ranch by going organic. He’s afraid of Tory leaving.
Of course, their moms both have pasts and a lot is revealed that changes what everyone once thought. It was fun not only watching Liam and Tory but also both their moms and friend renew their once close friendship. This was such a good read and in true Cora Seton fashion, leaves you wondering what’s going on with Tory’s brother Steel.
