I really enjoyed Jack and Lola’s story. Having a second chance at love changed them both in more ways than they realized. I went from laughing out loud to holding back tears as they made their way back to each other. An entertaining read with lots of humor and plenty of heart.
I’m a new Carmen fan as she really pulled at my heartstrings and then made me smile with this second chance romance… with one hot cowboy…
I’m not normally a big fan of cowboy romances, but I wanted to read a book from this author, so I picked this one up. I’m SO glad I did. Jack and Lola are great characters, and I found myself truly rooting for them in this second chance romance. As expected from the title and blurb, she’s a city girl and he’s a country boy, but these characters are far from flat stereotypes in this steamy opposites attract romance. Some intriguing storylines around their families and secrets from the past are interwoven into the romance ARC to help make this book a page-turner. Grab this one for an enjoyable, lighthearted, and sizzling read!
A true second chance romance that tugs on the heartstrings! Right from the start you can feel the love between Jack and Lola. The issues Jack and Lola have is written realistically and with loads of heart. It was easy to relate to these characters and root for their happily ever after. A really great story!!
I didn’t connect with theses characters or their relationship. Cute concept, but the story felt forced at times. Entertaining quick read, but not my favorite.
Lola and Jack share a true second chance romance. Lola left Jack after she miscarried, heart-break compounding heart-break. Staring at rock bottom, Lola goes back to Texas to try and set up a Bed and Breakfast at Red Oak Ranch and finds Jack living there. Sparks ensue, second chances are ripe for the taking…as usual with Ms Falcone, a fun and steamy romance.
This is the second chance story about Lola and Jack. Two years ago, Lola left Jack after she miscarried. When she loses everything, she returns to Texas. Jack is living at Red Oak Ranch, which Lola wants to turn into a bed and breakfast. Will they get their second chance or will the past stand in their way? Grab your copy and see what happens in this wonderful read.
What does a guy do when his estranged wife shows up at their ranch intending to make changes? He bets her she can’t pull off her plans and if she loses she leaves. There is another hitch though, no one in town knows they are married. That part of their lives took place in another state, in another time.
Unfortunately for both of them that information will be real quick to leak. Especially since they still have a wild attraction to each other.
Lola is determined to turn the ranch she co-owns with Jack into a bed and breakfast. For once she will see something through and make it a success.
Jack knowing her penchant for not finishing anything she starts allows her to begin transformation of the ranch house.
Although this starts off with both arguments and heat sparking, One of my favorites scene is when the car Lola bought won’t start. Used cars are fun like that and she really doesn’t have the extra money to spend on it.
With much quarreling and off the charts sex these two just can’t seem to keep their hands off each other. But there is of course a few wrenches thrown into the mix as Lola tries to find her birth parents. Nothing like some added angst when you’re starting a business.
A fun read with lots of twists and turns in the relationship.
The Cowboy’s Socialite is a second chance romance full of drama, humor, passion and emotion. The chemistry between Jack and Lola is perfect and I love that the characters are believable and endearingly flawed. These two have quite a bumpy ride to get their HEA but it was so worth the ride. The Cowboy’s Socialite is an excellent read and I look forward to reading more books by this author.
This is the authors first entry into the Cowboy genre. This story was filled with snarky humor, stubbornness, untold truths everywhere, fear of loving and finally eyes wide open and of course the authors famous sexy, sensual scenes. All in all, I believe this was a wonderful and sweet, but not syrupy sweet, very believable, cowboy versus socialite romance. Read about a beautiful woman with commitment problems and a cowboy who doesn’t want to forgive, both unwilling to admit their true feelings. As you can see I don’t do spoilers, but I highly recommend this story to all those who love a good romance with a sexy cowboy thrown in and of course a horse or two. I can’t wait for the author to get back in the saddle again.
