Never get in the way of a family feud—When Millionaire Carl Whitfield sold his Silicon Valley start-up and moved to Montana to pursue a ranching life, the Coopers took him in and taught him everything he needed to know. Now he’s ready to buy a spread of his own, settle down and start a family, and the Coopers are the key to getting the property of his dreams. Too bad the woman he craves is on the … craves is on the wrong side of the bitter, hundred-year-old Cooper-Turner feud. If he pursued Camila Torres, he might lose everything he came here to gain.
Banished from her family’s business for refusing to work under her less-talented brother, Camila came to Chance Creek to open a restaurant of her own. Taken in by the Turners, she’s done just that—and found a community that’s far more supportive than her family ever was. She won’t risk losing the Turners’ friendship by dating a man beholden to their mortal enemies—at least, not until Carl proves he’s here in Chance Creek to stay. He’s had plenty of time to find a ranch. What’s taking so long, anyway?
Will Carl and Camila’s desire for each other spark the Cooper-Turner feud into an all-out war?

The Turner/Cooper feud is huge in Chance Creek.
Carl promised Camilla he would find a ranch in Chance Creek and set down roots. He has been looking for three years. Every time he thinks he has found one, it slips out from under him.
Camilla is struggling with her feelings for Carl and trying to mend fences with her family.
In order for them to spend time together, they have to sneak around. Will Carl find a ranch and actually get a real date with Camilla? Will the Turners and Coopers accept them together?
A nice enjoyable story!
This long-standing family rivalry series is totally engrossing! After glomming all over the Brides of Chance Creek series, I had to know why the Turners and Coopers were at each other’s throats. This series is packed with heat and heart, and I blew right through it.
Cora Seton’s novel is one of the more entertaining that i have read recently … it fall into a ‘i can’t put this boo down’ category.
Although i gave it a five start rating, it’s not without it’s shortcomings … like at times it’s too wordy, some chapters are much too long, and the couple love scenes at in the novel could be rewritten to soften them, thus widening the potential scope of readership … or maybe even left out completely. They added nothing to an already good book.
On the plus side, the conflicts between two families is well played, the subplots well done, and the family conflicts quite good.
Overall, it’s one of the best I’ve read recently..
Really enjoyed reading this book
I enjoyed the feud between the two families. Also, Camilia finding out and understanding her family’s past history.
Anything Cora Set on writes is fabulous.
I enjoyed this book very much. I have read a bunch of her Chance Creek books… and they have all been very clever… and gives you a brief peek into some of the other characters in future books… very entertaining!! Also.. Her Issued to the Bride Series and Email order bride series are funny and hilarious… and I could not stop reading them…
the writer is such a good story teller but I felt like some of the story was not told. will keep reading the next one in line.
Great page turner. Easy to read with wonderful characters.

Love Cora Seton’s books.
I love her books!
All of her books are worth the read
A charming story.
I’m a sucker for second chance stories and this was a goody! Didn’t enjoy as much when it took them away f rom Chance Creek for a portion of the story, but it all tied in to make the story end well. I liked Carl and Camila. They were both very hard workers and it paid off!
