Single mom Heather Browning will do anything to get away from her controlling ex-husband–including buying a rundown strawberry farm in Montana. Maybe the locals are right, maybe she is crazy. Still, she’ll do anything to keep her twin son and daughter safe and happy—and keep her ex out of the picture. When her only horse comes up lame, she calls local veterinarian Randy McCall. The sexy cowboy … cowboy takes one look at her farm and dilapidated house and offers his help, but Heather is quick to say no. She doesn’t need anyone’s help—no matter how gorgeous and tempting Randy is. But after hurting her ankle and discovering her roof is riddled with leaks, she reluctantly agrees to temporarily move herself and the twins to the McCall Ranch. If Heather wanted a charming, sexy, man—which she does not—Randy would be perfect. Good thing she only wants to be friends…
For as long as he can remember, Randy has liked saving things. So when he’s hit with the impossible-to-ignore need to help Heather, he chalks it up to his nature. Thanks to matchmaking townsfolk, Randy is “given” to Heather for twenty-four hours of free labor, and he’s happy to oblige. It’s certainly not because he’s crazy attracted to her. Definitely not because the twins are making him think silly thoughts about being a dad. And no way is it because that one soft kiss made his heart feel like it was struck by lightning. Even as Randy tells himself—over and over—that he’s not a relationship kind of guy, his stubborn heart doesn’t believe it. Knowing Heather has already been hurt by a man, he decides to stop things before they get out of hand. But can he stop himself from falling in love?

Randy McCall is the nicest tough cowboy I have come across in a novel in a long time. When he meets the jinge mother Heather, he immediately feels attracted to her. She has had a bad marriage and doesn’t trust men anymore. Not even Randy who is only doing well. It takes her a while to trust this but then realizes that she has found a lottery ticket with Randy.
Randy is the youngest brother and has a soft and beautiful character. He does not see himself as a lifesaver but cannot let it happen to let her live in a house with her 2 children with so much damage. He helps her wherever he can.
Heather cannot just accept his help, convinced that he wants something in return. Slowly she opens up for him and her sunny mood comes into the picture. Despite her experiences, she dares to do it with Randy. Ex-man comes on screen briefly, fortunately only with words to stir up her fear.
A wonderful story from the hand of Leslie North where love wins

This series of the McCall brothers is getting better and better. These boys have been raised with the manners that would make your grandmother proud.
Randy has a big heart and it makes it hard for him to forgive himself but he also want to help everyone. Heather is struggling to find her independents after a bad relationship and does not want to ask for help.
This story just gives you that “awww” feeling as you read Randy and Heather’s story. But also to see how the McCall brothers come together will warm you heart.

Randy is currently the one responsible for running the ranch with his older brother Travis busy taking care of his new family and their businesses and his younger brother Carson is off on the rodeo circuit more then he’s at home so it’s up to Randy to keep things on the Ranch running smoothly.
Heather is a single mom to twins, one boy and one girl. She bought a very run-down strawberry farm and is trying to get away from her controlling ex-husband. She doesn’t want a man in her life, but Randy can’t help but want to save them after he sees the condition of things when he goes out to her place to look at her horse.
With the help of some of the local ladies Randy finds himself out at Heathers ranch to help with more than just her animals. He’s keeps trying to convince himself that he’s not a relationship kind of guys, mostly because he’s had a bad experience in the past, but his heart saying something completely different. He’s falling hard for Heather and her children. Can they both work through things and let love in?
I really liked this book and can’t wait to read the final book, Carson’s story.

Another wonderful story by Leslie North who once again brings strong , well developed characters with an interesting and romantic story line. She brings drama, action and tons of emotions in this fast paced romance. The chemistry between Randy and Heather is strong and I enjoyed watching their relationship evolve into love. I loved this book! Leslie North has done it again. Heather is a single mom to twins and she needs to get away from her crazy ex husband. What else to do but move away and buy a strawberry farm. Only problem is there are too many repairs and it’s overwhelming. That is until the town plays matchmaker between her and Randy McCall. Will Randy be able to get Heather to trust and love again?

Heather moved to Montana to escape her abusive ex-husband. She is a single mother of twins and has bought a rundown farm for her and her children to live in. When her horse gets injured she meets Randy the local veterinarian. This was a great read. Well written with interesting characters and a storyline that had plenty of emotions, drama, romance and love.

The Cowboy’s Rescue is the second story in Leslie North’s McCall Ranch Brothers series and takes readers on Randy’s journey of juggling building a business and the unwanted and unexpected allure of romance and an unknown extended family. As with previous books, Ms North has captured the essence of Randy and Heather’s struggles to keep their lives drama free and simple, while trying to avoid an undeniable attraction, and the differences that make a long term relationship seem impossible to explore. Both characters are very likeable, and the storyline is easy to follow and hard to put down. The Cowboy’s Rescue is a great addition to this series and I’m looking forward to the final book in the series.
Heather Browning has bought a run down strawberry farm in Montana, so she and her twins can escape her controlling ex-husband. Heather is willing to do anything to keep her twins safe and happy. When local veterinarian, Randy McCall, comes to her farm to look after her horse, he offers his services to help Heather make repairs her farm and house, but Heather says no. She doesn’t need or want any help from Randy no matter how handsome she thinks he is. Randy is back to help his brothers run his parent’s ranch and the town’s new veterinarian. Randy has always liked saving things and chalks up his need to help Heather and her twins as part of his nature. Matchmaking women in town “give” Randy to Heather for 24 hours of free labor as a welcome gift. Heather is reluctant to accept the gift but has to agree when she hurts her ankle. When a rainstorm and holes in the roof flood and damage rooms in Heather’s house, Heather agrees to move into Randy’s parents house on the condition she acts as his housekeeper. As Heather and Randy spend more time together in close quarters, the harder they find it to fight their attraction to each other. What happens when Heather’s ex shows up and makes threats? Will Heather run or stay and fight? Will Randy let Heather retreat away from him, will he fight for her and the twins? Can Heather and Randy move beyond their pasts and find their happily ever after? I absolutely love Leslie North! I enjoyed The Cowboy’s Rescue. The Cowboy’s Rescue is a great book with great characters who will make you laugh out loud with their banter. The Cowboy’s Rescue has a controlling ex, explosive chemistry, family, love, and some will meaning townsfolk. I would definitely recommend getting The Cowboy’s Rescue and the other book in the McCall Ranch Brothers series by Leslie North.

A wonderful story about a woman who has been abused by her ex-husband and all the issues that arise after that. She doesn’t trust, she doesn’t want help, always looking for a reason behind everything. A lonely soul in need of a friend, or even a mate.

He rescues damsels in distress.
It’s in his nature. Randy is a good guy, a veterinarian and a savior complex.
Heather is a single mom to fraternal twins who bought a white elephant in Montana to get away from her ex.
I liked that he got to know and like the whole family as he fixed up her place.

24 hours can last a lifetime
he Cowboy’s Rescue is the second book in the McCall Ranch Brothers series and all I can ask is does anyone know of a strawberry farm for sale??? But only it it comes with a “sex on a stick” hunky vet who offers up free labor!!
Randy McCall has finally moved back to the family farm to fulfill the stipulation in his parent’s will. He must live on the family ranch for a period of one year before he is given his inheritance. While there he works as a vet and this is how he first meets Heather Browning.
Heather has purchased a local strawberry farm and moved herself and her twins, Amelia and Andy, there. She is running from her abusive ex and she is determined to make their new life work no matter what it takes. But she is fiercely independent and does not want charity even if she needs a lot of help to get the house and farm repaired and livable.
It seems the town “do-gooders” decide to give a helping hand to Heather in the form of Randy. At the town auction he is purchased and then awarded to her for 24 hours of free labor. The only question is how long can 24 hours be stretched to? And what will happen when the 24 hours are over?
I received a free ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review. My opinions are all my own.
This book was a great read. The characters emotions were so intense. The ups and downs of their situation was mind boggling. The ending was sweet.

Emotionally thrilling, sexy, fun and action packed romantic adventure filled with intriguing charters, witty banter, heart racing twists and undeniable passion… was a great read. Really enjoyed this exciting journey from beginning to end and look forward to more.
Second book in the McCall ranch series and this time it is Randy’s story he is the local vet as well as one of the brothers of the McCall family ranch . All his life he has collected strays and tried to heal them that is why he became a vet and he is sure that is why he is drawn to Heather Browning and her twin son and daughter. Heather is trying to get her life back on track after leaving her abusive husband and has bought a strawberry farm all of the locals think she is crazy. Randy is called to her property when her horse becomes lame one look at the derelict home they are living in and he has to offer his help but she isn’t having anything to do with it. That is until she discovers her home leaks like a sieve. Will he keep on pretending that he just wants to help her or will he finally admit that there is much more there You will have to read to see
Fincher Farm…
This is the second book in the “McCall Ranch” series. The story focuses on Randy and Heather. After escaping a bad marriage, Heather has packed up her twins, bought the Fincher Farm sight unseen and moved to Montana. As part of a stipulation to his parent’s will, Randy has returned to his hometown to help run the family ranch. Will the two deny their chemistry or admit that they are perfect together? As I said, this is the second book in the series and my favorite of the two.

A lovely sequel in her McCall Ranch Brothers series
Heather, a single mom with a traumatic past, meets Randy, a veterinarian and the youngest McCall, when he makes a house call to check on her horse. As the story progresses a struggle for independence rises, a need for assistance cannot be denied, and when the past rears its ugly head meeting halfway may be the only way. Leslie North’s The Cowboy’s Rescue is a lovely sequel in her McCall Ranch Brothers series. This is a stand alone read however, one might want to read the first book to understand some of the back story. I can’t wait to see what kind of situation that Carson finds himself mired in.
I received a free copy of the book from the author via Booksprout. I had the opportunity to review or not.
