Single mom Heather Browning will do anything to get away from her controlling ex-husband–including buying a rundown strawberry farm in Montana. Maybe the locals are right, maybe she is crazy. Still, she’ll do anything to keep her twin son and daughter safe and happy—and keep her ex out of the picture. When her only horse comes up lame, she calls local veterinarian Randy McCall. The sexy cowboy … cowboy takes one look at her farm and dilapidated house and offers his help, but Heather is quick to say no. She doesn’t need anyone’s help—no matter how gorgeous and tempting Randy is. But after hurting her ankle and discovering her roof is riddled with leaks, she reluctantly agrees to temporarily move herself and the twins to the McCall Ranch. If Heather wanted a charming, sexy, man—which she does not—Randy would be perfect. Good thing she only wants to be friends…
For as long as he can remember, Randy has liked saving things. So when he’s hit with the impossible-to-ignore need to help Heather, he chalks it up to his nature. Thanks to matchmaking townsfolk, Randy is “given” to Heather for twenty-four hours of free labor, and he’s happy to oblige. It’s certainly not because he’s crazy attracted to her. Definitely not because the twins are making him think silly thoughts about being a dad. And no way is it because that one soft kiss made his heart feel like it was struck by lightning. Even as Randy tells himself—over and over—that he’s not a relationship kind of guy, his stubborn heart doesn’t believe it. Knowing Heather has already been hurt by a man, he decides to stop things before they get out of hand. But can he stop himself from falling in love?

This is the second book in the McCall Ranch Brothers series. This is Randy and Heather’s story. Heather is a single Mom to twins and she has moved to Montana, bought a strawberry farm no less, all to get away from a bad ex-husband. She is determined to do everything on her own until she becomes injured and no choice but to accept some help. Who comes to the rescue, yep, you got it, Randy. Heather finds him attractive and perfect but she is not wanting to get involved with another man at this point. Fate seems to have other plans for these two though. Can Randy and Heather find their HEA? A really good story on how a happily ever after does exist and comes when you least expect it. Enjoy!

I really liked Randy and Heather’s story this was another good well-written book from Leslie and is just perfect to curl up with for a couple of hours. These two were really sweet together and there was plenty of heat between them. The storyline was good and had enough going on to keep me hooked.
This book is really, REALLY fantastic… I was swept up into Randy’s and Heather’s lives from the first few pages. Great storyline…it sucked me in and kept me engrossed from start to finish. I loved this book and can’t wait for the next one to come out. Happy reading!!

The Cowboy’s Rescue by Leslie North. Every damsel in distress needs a rescuer and luckily for Heather she gets Randy (life is hard sometime-LOL). These two make a good match and I found this story to be enjoyable. The author has a flair for story telling that I find very entertaining. Will Randy rescue Heather for a happily ever after
Leslie is my #1 author as I love everything she writes. I was quickly pulled in to the story of local vet Randy and Heather who is hiding from her ex-husband. Randy finds himself stepping in to help Heather in her calamity of a situation. Will Heather’s ex force Heather to run? Will their attraction lead to happily ever after? You have to read to find out and won’t put the book down until you turn the last page!
Book two was awesome!
Randy was an awesome character such a caring and lovely man he was just the right hero for Heather. When you are a single mom and things go wrong and you have been burnt it is so hard to accept help. If you have read the first story you know all about the background but the author touches this in this story so it can be read as a stand-alone. I liked the realness of this piece what these characters went through could easily occur. Good book and a get addition in this series I highly suggest you pick this one and The Rancher’s Inherited Family both were wonderful. I am looking forward to reading Carson’s story next in The Cowboy’s Pregnant Sweetheart if it is like the other two books Leslie North has a true winner on her hands. I did receive a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.
The Cowboy’s Rescue is a fast-paced, well written cowboy romance with a great mix of drama, small town gossip, lust, great chemistry, a touch of suspense, and a roller coaster of emotions.

I just loved Randy and Heather’s romance. This well written story offers the perfect blend of emotion, sweetness, drama, heat and heart to ensnare you in its web and have you thrilled to be there. Both of these characters were winners in my opinion. I felt that they were easy to connect with and root for. I really enjoyed watching this couple’s relationship and feelings evolve as their story unfolded and they struggled to deal with the emotional turmoil said feelings caused. The balance of hope and poignancy was spot on in this read and it easily engaged my own emotions and had me completely invested in this couple. I thought that this was just a wonderful book that was very heartfelt and swoon worthy.
A fun second installment for the McCall brothers. Good characters and an enjoyable read. I breezed through it.

Any book from Leslie North is a fantastic book! The story line is well written and pulls the reader in. The characters are well developed and have definite chemistry. No spoilers with this one, just my advice to you to not let this one slip away, you will only be disappointed if you don’t read it.

3 1/2*
Randy is taking his turn with the responsibility on the ranch. He meets Heather when he’s called to treat her horse as he’s the only vet in town.
Heather has 3 year old twins Andy & Amelia she’s not looking for help from anyone especially after the way her ex husband Brad treated her.
An independent lady & a true gent & a meddling community.

A Nice, Relaxing Storyline and Series.
The Cowboy’s Rescue is Book 2 of the McCall Brothers Series that takes place in Montana. The brother featured is Randy, a veterinarian who’s moved back to the family farm to take over for Trevor (Book 1). The love interest is Heather who has bought a dilapidated strawberry farm and moved herself and small twin children as a way to escape an abusive ex-husband.
Both Randy and Heather have walls up but the story uniquely tells how a small town can be an asset as well as families.
Bottom Line: loved this G-rated storyline and the characters. It’s a pretty quick read and wrapped everything up nicely. Definitely recommending this book for your reading enjoyment and satisfaction. Peace.

I almost hate to admit it, but the issues this book highlights about new relationships after a divorce are some I’d never even given a thought to. Heather’s history nearly brought me to tears. The effort she has to put in just to go about her daily life after what her ex put her through broke my heart. Randy is absolutely perfect. Too perfect? Not quite, but he’s certainly been shortlisted for a halo. I think my emotions were attached to a yo-yo string with this pair. One moment I’d be in love with them both, the next I wanted to smack their heads together. The ending was completely charming and I’m looking forward to seeing what will happen with the remaining McCall brother.

Randy and Heather were two people who did not have very good relationships in the past. With Heather needing help with her house, Randy decided to offer her and the twins a place to stay at the ranch. She would not take his hospitality without giving something back. She in turn offered to be their housekeeper. With them in the same house, they became closer and eventually developed feelings for each other.
When her ex found her, she was scared and decided to go back to her house and Randy didn’t know how to react when she left, giving her the impression that he didn’t want a relationship with her. Once she realized that she overreacted, she realized she needed to apologize. When she found him in town to see him, he was just saying goodbye to his prior girlfriend after learning why they did not work out. Heather confronts him and does not give him a chance to explain due to the situations with her ex.
After a few days, Randy shows up at her house and they are able to work things out.

I should expect it by now.
That every Leslie North book I read and going to make me go Awwwww and make my heart melt from the HEAs.
While reading Trevor and Laceys book, i didnt guess that Randy would be as easy to fall for as he was. But Heather sure did put up a fight. It was fun watching them both fall despite their best efforts.
I would recommend.
Happy reading!

The author has given us characters that we can care about. Heather buys a strawberry farm, sight unseen, to provide for her twins. However, it is not quite what she expected. Randy McCall, the vet, wants to help her but she does not trust easily after her divorce from her abusive husband.

This is the second book in the McCall Ranch Brothers series, it can be read as a standalone story. It’s well-written with a wonderful fast-paced storyline. Randy has returned to his hometown to help the family ranch as part of his parents will. He meets single mom, Heather and her adorable twins who all pull his heartstrings. Really entertaining story, I really enjoyed it.
