The Cowboy’s Rebellious Bride (The McCall Brothers Book 1) by Laurie Le Clair
This is Hannah Prescott and Cody McCall’s story.
Hannah and Cody have been best friends for years. They each have their own issues that they are working through. Due to a situation they end up in a fake engagement. Now, you will have to read it to find out. During their fake engagement they start crossing the friendship line. Will their fake engagement change from fake to real?
If you enjoy a sweet romance, then you will enjoy their story. I
voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
Good family story binding characters together.
They had been best friends almost all their lives. She was afraid to marry him because she didn’t want to ruin their friendship.
It was easy reading and I enjoyed the book
Loved it! An entertaining story with wonderful characters.
Cute, totally predictable romance but a quick read!
fun to read
Not too believable but funny characters and entertaining
This town is bound and determined for these two life-long friends to marry. They get up to quite a few hi-jinks to make it happen. The two friends get up to their own hi-jinks. Both have family histories that have tainted their views of friends and love. Interesting resolution.
Friends to Lovers is one of my favourite tropes and I thought the story premise was good. However it didn’t flow for me, I found the writing style rather choppy and uneven and the heroine’s mindset at the end of the book illogical. This is the second book I have read by this author and I don’t think I will be trying any more.
Easy read
Enjoyed the characters
While this was a romance there was a deeper backstory that explored baggage that both characters had to overcome to get to happily ever after. I felt that this is what made the book more realistic.
A bit predictable. Easy reading.
It was an okay book. Lots of extra information that kind of got in the way.
A sweet love story between friends first. Can be read as a standalone albeit disjointed the plot has promises.
I would save it to read again
This was a nice story of two forever friends finally realizing that they could be a couple without loosing their friendship.
Liked it
