Karen Peterson has always known the rodeo was Carson McCall’s first and only love. She got proof of that when they were eighteen and he left her brokenhearted to join the rodeo circuit. She never got the chance to tell him she was pregnant—and never told him she lost the baby. Nine years later, he’s back home at the McCall Ranch nursing injuries from a bull-riding accident. When she sees him, she … she has a wonderful idea. Her sister’s autistic son, Devon, wants to learn to ride, and Carson is the perfect man to teach him. But Carson turns her down flat. Until the consequences of a barroom brawl require community service…teaching Devon to ride. Though Carson is the only cowboy she’ll ever love, she can shield her feelings for the sake of her nephew, even if Carson still makes her heart feel like it’s on a bucking bronco. So when she realizes she’s pregnant again, she’s terrified he’ll leave.
Carson is completely at odds. All he wants to do is heal and return to his life, despite his doctors telling him he’ll never ride at the same level again. He hates that he’s not the man he was, hates that everyone pities the washed-up has-been rodeo star. The only bright part of his day is the hour he spends with Devon—and Karen. Carson never forgot her, never really got over her. She’s still the girl he loved when he was just a kid, only she’s even more beautiful now. As they spend time together, it’s hard to resist their deep attraction, and in the end, they give in to it. Still, the lure of his first love—the rodeo—is strong, and when his doctor clears him to join the circuit, he’s happy—just not as happy as he’d thought he’d be. And when he learns Karen is pregnant, he’s torn even more. Could it be that the rodeo isn’t the only thing that matters anymore…?

This was a sweet but at times frustrating (in a good way) about Carson finally coming home but not in the way he wanted to. The attraction between Carson and Karen is electric but there is something holding Karen back in regards to their past, which also makes her sister really hate Carson. There is a great balance of laughs, seriousness, attraction, secrets and a few other feelings that had me turning the page to see where Carson and Karen wold end up.

Carson & Karen seem to be well matched. They do have a few issues to work out. He seems to be more of a wanderer and she’s the settle down type. I didn’t really agree with her keeping those secrets. I love the boldness of the McCall brothers and their willingness to put pride aside even when they may not be in the wrong they know what’s more important. Soul searching is not easy for these two neither instant decision making other than their mutual attraction. Enjoyed this series. Will Carson choose Karen over the rodeo
Leslie is my #1 author as I love every book she writes. Book 3 in the McCall Ranch Brothers series is about Carson who is home recovering from a rodeo accident and Karen, the girl now woman he never got over. Karen has only ever loved Carson, but she volunteers to bring her autistic nephew for lessons with Carson for his community service. But what happens between them as they spend time together? Will Carson choose the rodeo circuit again over Karen? You have to read to find out and will read the book in one sitting as it is just that good!
This was an enjoyable read. It is the third book in the “McCall Brothers” series. The book tells the story about Carson McCall and his high school sweetheart Karen. These two reconnect after Carson injures himself in the rodeo and he returns to his home town to get better. The story was well written with great characters and an interesting storyline that had twists/turns, emotional ups/downs and love.

ONE INTERESTING EXPERIENCE!!!
Oh crap! Leslie produces one heart pounding, pulse racing, hard hitting, page flipping dynamo that hooks you from the start and reels you in for the duration. A tumultuous wild ride with a bevy of unexpected events, propelling this little guy to a whole new level. Ramping all the swirling emotions into play front and center, sending this baby into a tizzy, swirling into one stunning culmination. The drama, heartache, turmoil, distress and intrigue soars, while tension spirals, wielding this baby together flawlessly. Boasting well rounded scenario’s, ramping up the zeal and gusto with such intensity and precision, blasting this gem to life flawlessly. The attraction and chemistry is tangible, intense and sizzling. The characters are genuine and realistic with depth and qualities that blend into amazing personalities. The scenes are so vividly detailed and descriptive it gives the illusion you were right there in the middle of ground zero with them. Fantastic job Leslie, thanks for sharing this little fella with us.
Outstanding Book 3 and this Montana-based Series.
This is the third and final book in the MCCALL RANCH BROTHERS SERIES, by author, Leslie North. This storyline features Carson McCall, injured Rodeo Star who’s home recovering from injuries. His love interest is his previous high-school girlfriend, Karen.
The jest of the story is how they treat each other after not seeing each other for so many years and having mixed feelings in the present and going forward.
It’s the perfect time for Carson to ask himself if it’s time to grow up and accept his responsibilities.
Bottom Line: excellent storyline as was the previous two. And I liked that the two other brothers came in and out of scenes. The storyline set a nice pace and kept intrigued enough to read from cover to cover and feeling completely satisfied when finished. The characters were fantastic. I especially loved eleven year old Devon who has Autism. The main characters and Devon interact so well together. Kudos to the author for sensitivity.
I’m wholeheartedly recommending this book and series for your reading enjoyment, pleasure and satisfaction. Peace.

This is the last book in this latest trilogy and as always the characters are strong so strong in fact that I intensely disliked Carson and no he didn’t grow on my Karen deserved so much better but the heart wants what the heart wants
Carson and Karen where childhood sweethearts but he broke her heart when he walked away when they where eighteen to go to his first love bull riding at the rodeo What he didn’t know was that he left a part of himself behind with Karen. Carson returns to the family ranch to heal from a bull riding accident his doctors say he will never ride at the same level again but he intends to prove them wrong He gets involved in a bar room fight because of the chip on his shoulder and is given community service Karen organises for that service to be him teaching Devon her autistic nephew how to ride something he refused to do when she asked him earlier. This throws them back into contact with one another and the connection between them is still there However Carson is determined to return to the rodeo but will he rethink his options when he discovers Karen is pregnant with his child.
The final McCall brother
This is the final book in the “McCall Ranch Brothers” series. While it can be read as a standalone, I suggest reading all the books in order. Carson and Karen have a history. One that holds a secret Karen never told Carson about. History has a way of repeating itself. I liked this one but it isn’t my favorite in the series. Sometimes it was hard to like Carson.

Carson is the last of the McCall brothers. He is staying at the ranch until he recovers from his injuries, then it is back to the rodeo. But if he goes back to the rodeo, there will be no one left at the ranch and he and his brothers will have to sell the property. Karen was his girlfriend back when they were younger, so when he left she was left behind. Now he is back and helping her nephew, who is autistic, to learn to ride a horse under Karen’s watchful eye. Despite their thoughts that they are not interested in each other, they can’t seem to fight the spark and pull of each other. But can they work things out. Especially when Karen turns up pregnant, again. When Carson took off all those years ago, Karen was pregnant but miscarried that child. A great read.

Another good story from Leslie North. Although the characters tried my patience many times their story was very well presented. Secrets, hard times and much drama makes the story a page turner. It took a while but the “good” within the characters finally shines as they finally achieve the HEA
This book was really well written awesome read couldn’t put down great story thanks for good read can’t wait see what next with this author.

Carson’s been on the rodeo circuit, trying for a championship. When he’s injured, he comes home and is involved in a bar fight. Rather than jail time, he’s sentenced to 30 days of community service. On a project for a child with autism. Karen’s project. Karen is his former girlfriend. The one whose heart was broken when he left. He still have feeling for her, even as he pushes her away. This is a wonderful book to end this series. The brothers do manage to keep the ranch in the family, per the request from their parents’ will, but not without some drama and doubt. Despite not being a Carson fan, I love that Kelly (Karen’s sister) steps in to try to make things right between Carson and Karen. I’m looking forward to this author’s next series.

There was a lot that I liked about this book and one thing that I didn’t. As for the good: The book has a well written story line that is filled with powerful emotions, drama and heartache. I trust this author to deliver a read that can engage my emotions and that held true for this book. I thought Devon was a great character and in my opinion ne was a real scene stealer. I am always very happy find diverse and realistic characters to their books. I liked Karen and I truly felt for her. That being said, she also kind of annoyed me because I will never understand why she was still hung up on Carson. Which, leads me to what I didn’t like. Him. Carson rubbed me the wrong way from the very first chapter and honestly it just never got any better. I’m sure many readers will be liked Karen and find him appealing but I simply did not. I thought he was a selfish jerk. Still, if you do like him (or just vigorously try to ignore him, like I did) it was a good read.
The Cowboy’s Pregnant Sweetheart by Leslie North is a good read. interesting, filled with drama and a roller coaster ride of emotion that will keep you entertain while reading,a story of Carson and Karen, a bull rider and his ex sweetheart.. well done!

This book was absolutely fantastic! From the first page until the last I was completely engrossed in this story. I loved Karen and Carson together and the dynamic that they had was amazing. Their connection was off the charts and their where just perfect for each other that you just had to root for them to get their HEA! Really do love this author and always look forward to a new book by her, so if your like me, go grab a copy or if your new to this author, this is a perfect book/series to start with. Happy reading!!
I like the story line and found it raised some serious questions of how Karen handles her past and her present. I don’t agree with it but, it is understandable. Carson however, is a completely different story. I think Carson is an interesting character and would have liked more about his youth to understand his compulsion to be with the rodeo as well as, his and Karen’s relationship when they were eighteen. Trying real hard not to give away too many details…Carson’s reaction to Karen’s secrets is completely unacceptable. He can’t think for himself?! He needs his brother, Randy to spell it out for him. Very disappointed in that aspect of the story. The ending does go a long way to redeem Carson for his complete idiocy.

Leslie North’s The Cowboy’s Pregnant Sweetheart. #3 Read the series in order.
Carson McCall is the middle son of the three McCall brothers. When he and his brothers inherited their parents’ estate, he still pursued his dream of being a rodeo champion, coming back to the ranch during the downtimes of competition.
A bad ride on a bull, followed by a drunken fight at a bar, lands Carson in court. His only other option from serving jail time was to complete community service–with Karen Peterson, as his court-appointed supervisor. Carson would be teaching an autistic 12-year-old boy how to ride a horse. Karen would be bringing the child to the ranch and would supervise the whole time.
No problem. Piece of cake. Right? Karen Peterson was Carson McCall’s scorned high school sweetheart. The want-to-be rodeo star had things-to-do and places-to-go when he unknowing left a pregnant sweetheart behind on his way to fame right out of high school.
Of course, the sparks fly. Will a cowboy, who enjoys a roving rodeo lifestyle, settle down with an untrustworthy sweetheart after she keeps her second pregnancy a secret?

Carson winds up getting hurt put a damper on Carson Rodeo riding. He also winds up in court from an altercation he had at the bar. The judge decides to give him community service. The person he has to help is a friend he never thought he see again. Karen needed someone to help working with one boy with autism who loved horses and was eager to get help from Carson. Carson was not happy with that he would have to be around Karen for the 30 days. Things were going great with Devon learning to ride but he knew that time was ending. He would be on the mend and he would go back onto the circuit. Carson never knew she was pregnant when he left then she lost the baby. Carson was looking to leave sooner than expected. Kelly, Karen’s sister goes over to Carsons house blew in like a storm and told Carson in no uncertain terms to stay away from Karen. Then she proceeds to tell him a secret that was not her story to tell.
The Cowboy’s Pregnant Sweetheart by Leslie North. This is Carson’ and Karen’s story. The book starts off with Carson in court for fighting. He never gets in trouble but he’s injured now and feeling a little down and lost. In steps Karen a blast from his past that he wants nothing to do with. she suggest to the judge that his community service involve teaching her autistic nephew how to ride. Even though he doesn’t want too its his best choice. They have 30 days together and some of the old feelings start to come back the more they are with each other. Even though he is still angry with her. He can’t help how she makes his heart race. I enjoy reading about how they rekindled their romance but Carson wasn’t ready to give up the rodeo once he was cleared to ride again. It touched my heart with what he was doing with her nephew and how special and confident he made him feel. This was a very encouraging read. Good Job Leslie North!!!
