Karen Peterson has always known the rodeo was Carson McCall’s first and only love. She got proof of that when they were eighteen and he left her brokenhearted to join the rodeo circuit. She never got the chance to tell him she was pregnant—and never told him she lost the baby. Nine years later, he’s back home at the McCall Ranch nursing injuries from a bull-riding accident. When she sees him, she … she has a wonderful idea. Her sister’s autistic son, Devon, wants to learn to ride, and Carson is the perfect man to teach him. But Carson turns her down flat. Until the consequences of a barroom brawl require community service…teaching Devon to ride. Though Carson is the only cowboy she’ll ever love, she can shield her feelings for the sake of her nephew, even if Carson still makes her heart feel like it’s on a bucking bronco. So when she realizes she’s pregnant again, she’s terrified he’ll leave.
Carson is completely at odds. All he wants to do is heal and return to his life, despite his doctors telling him he’ll never ride at the same level again. He hates that he’s not the man he was, hates that everyone pities the washed-up has-been rodeo star. The only bright part of his day is the hour he spends with Devon—and Karen. Carson never forgot her, never really got over her. She’s still the girl he loved when he was just a kid, only she’s even more beautiful now. As they spend time together, it’s hard to resist their deep attraction, and in the end, they give in to it. Still, the lure of his first love—the rodeo—is strong, and when his doctor clears him to join the circuit, he’s happy—just not as happy as he’d thought he’d be. And when he learns Karen is pregnant, he’s torn even more. Could it be that the rodeo isn’t the only thing that matters anymore…?

It’s Carson’s turn to manage the ranch full time to meet the requirements of the will so he and his brothers can inherit. Karen has history with him, not all good. He is recuperating from a life threatening rodeo injury. He gets roped into community service after a bar fight teaching her autistic nephew how to ride a horse. He wants to be done and on his way back to the rodeo circuit. As horses therapy is being used to socialize autistic kids, Carson is finding that he is having feelings of accomplishment that he was able to help someone with his knowledge. When life has you down from your regular path, sometimes you stumble onto something you can do to enrich someone else’s life. Nicely written and very enjoyable.

This is quite a good Cowboy story and a fine ending to this trilogy of the McCall brothers. It has a good storyline and fine characters. It is long enough to have some twists and turns and short enough to read in an evening if you are a rather fast reader. I am glad that I can give this last story in this series fabulous four stars and can truly encourage you to read it also.

This book has left me with some mixed feelings. Devon is a fantastic character. I loved the care and attention the author shows writing this autistic child. Carson and Karen left me wildly swinging back and forth between love and hate. I suspect there’re some old hurts behind Carson’s rodeo playboy mask, but we’re never told what they are, so I’m not sure if that’s a correct assumption or not. I’m not a fan of the secret baby plot line, and I tend to greatly dislike manipulative heroines. Karen had both of those working against her to my mind and I didn’t notice her trying very hard to overcome them. I enjoyed seeing both Carson and Karen grow from the rather selfish people we’re first introduced to into the caring individuals we see at the end. I loved the ending and the way it explains their parents’ unusual will.

This is a well written book with strong characters who have a second chance at love. The author does a great job building the sexual tension as well as stirring their feelings for each other. I enjoyed watching them come together and finding their HEA. The story flows fluidly , shows tons of emotions and is an enjoyable read and loved the epilogue. I loved and would recommend this book.

The Cowboy’s Pregnant Sweetheart brings the McCall brothers parents will dilemma to an end. In the final book we meet Carson the rodeo rider of the family. Carson is back at the ranch recovering from an accident. He ends up arrested due to a fight and as result he is now working with his ex girlfriend doing community service. Karen Peterson works with autistic children and needs Carson’s talent to teach riding and the student he will be working with just happens to be Devon, Karen’s nephew. Carson begins working with Devon and finds that he really likes working with him. Carson and Karen are also finding that they are darn to each other again. Carson left Karen to go on the rodeo circuit and she really took it hard and knows she has to stay away! She also has a secret from that time that she kept from Carson. Carson wants to recuperate fast so he can get back to the rodeo! If he leaves the ranch will have to be sold! Karen and Carson get together, Carson again is thinking about leaving and Karen has another surprise which she keeps to herself but gets out! WOW!
I love that there was some information on autism in this story and the way Karen and Carlson try and make Devon feel better and don’t limit his abilities because of it. The connection and attraction between Carlson and Karen is palpable but I was frustrated with their lack of communication and not being honest about their feelings. I am just glad they get past that.

This is book three in The McCall Ranch Brothers series and it was another good read I do have to admit I did not care much for Carson he was just not very likable but I will admit once he got his on straight he does start to change and by the end, he had grown on me. If you have read and enjoyed the previous books you won’t want to miss this one,
3 1/2*
Carson was injured in his last rodeo so has returned to the ranch to take his turn. Unfortunately getting into trouble for fighting left him with community service.

Oh my Goodness did this story melt my heart! I loved reading about the brothers! Carson and Karen’s chance at a second chance could have been lost before it started, but will a secret make or break them?

Leslie North has done it again in this 3rd book in the McCall series. Years ago Carson left Karen to join the rodeo circuit never knowing he left more than Karen. Tragedy strikes as a Karen lost the baby. Now Carson’s back 9 years later never realizing that some things are more important than the rodeo. Will Carson figure this out before he looses Karen and the baby she’s carrying?
The author has given us characters we can care about. When Carson McCall, youngest McCall brother, is injured and returns to the ranch, he ends up fighting in a bar and must do thirty days of community service. However, the boy he is to teach to ride is the nephew of his old girlfriend, Karen.

Not ready for this series to end – loved reading it – Karen and Carson have a history and the road is never easily traveled until all the old hurts can be salved over! A Rough ride to their HEA!

I can’t say that I liked Carson very much in this story. He starts off whining about the community service he’s “forced” to do rather than go to jail for assault, and he continues to bristle at anyone’s attempts to get him to consider his own safety as he doubles down on his commitment to his bull riding career despite the injuries he’s still recovering from.
When his ex-girlfriend arranges for his community service to consist of teaching her autistic nephew to ride a horse, one would think he’d be grateful for the easy assignment. Karen is certainly the better person here, tolerating Carson’s selfish behavior so her nephew can have the experience of a lifetime.
When their romance rekindles almost despite themselves it’s difficult to sympathize with Karen finding herself in the same predicament as before. Thankfully, Carson demonstrates enough growth in maturity to turn things around just in time to save their relationship and their family.
There’s a nice nod to the original “terms” (that were very loosely detailed) of their parents’ will, how their overall intent was achieved, even if such intent was never actually stated. As such, this book does a great job of wrapping up the series. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
A rodeo star challenge.
Carson’s problem just may be what saves him in the end. A rodeo man who has been hurt and lucky to be alive is back home and the girl he left behind is back in his life. I have really enjoyed this series of books about the McCall brothers it appears it was time for all of them to face the challenges of life and each one soar. This book like the other two was well-written, realistic, and a very entertaining read. I hope you check it and the others too. When Carson comes home to heal after his injuries, he didn’t expect to be in a fight to defend himself of how his career has been going. After getting arrested and part of his sentence, he was sentenced to community service. Thanks to the arrangement by Karen, he was to give riding lessons to Karen’s nephew, Devon. Throughout the 30 days, they were able to fall back into a relationship where they were able to get along for the benefit of Devon.
At the end of the 30 days, they had a celebration with Devon’s accomplishment. After his mom took him home, this left Carson and Karen to enjoy themselves reminiscing at their spot after an evening horseback ride.
Later, Carson finds out he is able to start training again to return to the circuit, at the same time Karen also has some news. At dinner things take a turn. Carson shares his news, which Karen decides not to share her news about the baby, as she does not want to hold Carson back. Eventually this blows up in her face and he finds out which further puts space between them and Carson leaves again for the rodeo. After being away, he realizes that he loves her and that she is more important than the rodeo and she goes through the same realization she loves him.

This is the third book in The McCall Ranch Brothers series, it can be read as a standalone story. No cliffhangers and a delightful HEA.
Carson left his childhood sweetheart, Karen to go follow his dream of being a Rodeo star, not knowing the drama and heartache he left behind, now he’s back home recovering from an injury and also the stipulations of his parents will. Karen is fighting her feelings for him but as they teach her nephew to horseride they become closer. Can she manage when Carson leaves? Does she tell him her secret? Can they have a HEA?
