Miss Independence and Mr Rodeo Hot Shot faking it til it’s not
The Cowboy’[s Pregnant Fake Fiancé by Mary Sue Jackson and Leslie North is a very well written rodeo cowboy romance with extremely independent and ambitious characters who find themselves in a disreputable situation for the small town and their careers.
The plot and characters are engaging and their fake engagement is a great excuse to force these two to get to know one another. Left to their own devices, neither would have truly sought the other out, stubborn pride and refusal to compromise the true antagonism of Marley and Dean.
Overall, a well written romance with steam, conflict, resolution and finally realization to bring about the HEA Dean and Marley secretly want.
I read an ARC of this book from Hidden Gems and voluntarily share my review.
Lovely sweet love story that had me desperate for a happy ending. When Dean & Marley agreed to having a fake relationship since she was expecting his baby after following their one night stand & his rodeo career getting bad press. God her mum was a cow making her miserable because she had broken her engagement & now embarrasing her at getting pregnant making her life hell but being with Dean made her happy. Dean had told Marley that their fake relationship was temporary as he was just taking a break from rodeo but the longer they stayed together the closer he & Marley got. Marley’s ex kept trying to insist she get back with him Tring to cause trouble between her & Dean but when she found out Dean was going back to the rodeo it hurt her when he was so cold about this only ever being temporary as she had fallen in love with him. After she fell the hospital put her on bed rest until the baby was born but this didn’t make him want to stay he told her he was going back to the rodeo & she should move back in with her parents even though she knew how bad her mother treated her. She immediately moved in with her sister Everley & he went back on the road with the rodeo but it didn’t feel the same way it did before & seeing families made him realise that was what he really wanted so went back to his Ranch hoping Marley would still want yo be a family with him for real which luckily for him she did but I wanted to knock some sense into him for him having taken this long to realise this.

Just when everything seems to be going right, life can throw you a zinger. It happened for hotshot rodeo star Dean “Wildcard” Slate when his injury made him retire from the rodeo before he was ready. And it happened to Marley Arrowood who thought everything was finally on track for her as she celebrates her freedom in getting away from her controlling mother, getting rid of her ex, and starting her own bakery! Life is good.
As a little extra “treat” for herself, Marley takes Dean home with her from the bar she is celebrating at, not recognizing him as a rodeo star known by all but her! Their one night ends up in a pregnancy! When she blurts that information out later, they rumors go wild and they need fix their damaged reputations to get back in the town and fans’ good graces. So the plan is to pretend they love each other. It’s a good plan – but then it starts feeling real! How will the two of them handle this new aspect of their “fake” relationship?
It was sweet romance with little drama. But you will love the cowboy and the spunky baker.
It was fun , entertaining and sexy. Good storyline and characters.

This story is just oh so sweet. Cowboy romance through and through. The storyline is so good and the characters are even better, all their ups and downs and the small town nitpicking bullying even though bullying may not be the best terminology… The story takes you all over the place throughout the story and it gets to the point where it is really difficult to put it down until it is finished!! So fantastic five stars to this one.

A small town romance with a hot cowboy. Dean is looking for a place to call home when he meets Marley in a bar. Marley has always been a good girl doing exactly what everyone expects of her until now. This is the story of how one meeting changes both their lives. They are both living in the present influenced by things hat have happened to them in the past. The author tells a great story of the ways that small towns can make or break a person based on whether or not they decide to like them. In the end it takes the two of them working together to find what they seek which is happiness together.
I absolutely loved this book and was honored to have been able to read and review. It was such a phenomenal read and had amazing characters as well as an amazing story line. I just could not get enough of it and once I started reading it I could not put it down. I recommend that you read it.

THE COWBOY’S PREGNANT FAKE FIANCEE’ By Leslie North Presents Mary Sue Jackson
This story has promise, but I felt like the characters and the premise needed some additional fleshing out. I give this story 3 stars.

Dean and Marley have a one night stand while celebrating her “independence day” which has an unexpected result. The author does a great job developing their relationship and had me glued to the pages reading their story. It’s a well written fake engagement with strong characters and an interesting story line. I enjoyed and would recommend this book.
A tale about compromise.
Take one injured rodeo star and one young woman who wanted to get away from her mother controlling attitude and you have the being of our tale. Dean and Marley’s story starts with one night, of course, everyone’s eye is on them so what would happen but gossip. Now they have to figure out what to do well why not pretend they are going to marry. Can you see the problems that are on the horizon? This was a good story very realistic and you will not know how it will end until the very last of the book. That was a great job by the author. Good writing with a great cast of characters high praise for the gem. I did receive a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.

Dean was a well celebrated Rodeo star until an injury led him to end his career. Marley only wants to open up her bakery after her ex Trever she is looking like the black sheep in town. She hoped that would make her look better in the small town eyes. Marley met Dean at the local bar and she had no idea who he was. Marley takes him to her sisters where she was staying. Now she is pregnant she decided she would do it alone. Dean shows up again and Marley confronted him about being the baby daddy.
Dean wants Marley to move in with him and pretend Marley was his fiancé. Dean had to contact Trevor for permits little did he know that was Marley’s Ex until she found Trevor and she told Dean. Marley’s. Mother was a spiteful women and she was making Marley’s life a living hell spreading rumors. Trevor was making her life hell denying things that Dean needed done. Dean decided to have a fundraiser at the ranch which was a success. Meanwhile his agent had gotten somethings that Dean could do to up his status again but he hadn’t told Marley. Things start to take a turn. Dean lied to her about where he had been. Trevor lied to Dean about Marley
Marley and Deans romance is a really fun relationship to explore. I couldn’t wait to see how they ended up in the end and had a wonderful time and fun seeing them try to get out of their mishap. Would really recommend.

Marley and Dean get more than they bargained for when she ends up pregnant and even though they decide to “fake” the relationship, you can’t help the sparks that come from them being together. There is some drama and angst but not too much. This is sweet, sexy, and entertaining.

The Cowboy’s Pregnant Fake Fiancée by Mary Sue Jackson is a cute romance involving young woman who has finally faced that her life is not what she wants it to be, including her fiancée and an aging rodeo star. They meet in a bar and leave together for just the one night. Her Independence Day, his … what he does. A few weeks Marley discovered she was pregnant and the gossip about her breakup with Trevor had not gone away, even though it had been several months. Dean, meanwhile, had faced reality and returned to town and bought the ranch he’s had his eye on. Rodeoing could not last forever, no matter how much he wished for it. Now, it seemed, he had a PR problem. He needed to clean up his image if his career was to continue, as a spokesperson and trainer. Could they solve each other’s problems? Her baby and his PR mess, by becoming a couple and projecting a happily-ever-after image? She moved into his house to begin the fake engagement/relationship. Where would it end up?
Cute story with a foregone conclusion, as romances always are. It was good to see Marley break away from expectations that were not her own. Watching a relationship build is always enjoyable and Jackson does a good job with that. Cowboy romances are one of my favorites and Jackson, a go-to author. I recommend The Cowboy’s Pregnant Fake Fiancée as an upbeat addition to your day!

The Cowboy and Town’s Pageant Queen! This is about Dean and Marley. Marley is determined to make it on her own, even if it is against her mothers wishes. Well she is out celebrating the opening of her bakery and breakup with her ex fiancée, when the town bullies decided to come up to her to start talking about how she has failed. Dean is passing through when he decided to stop by for a drink. He overhears them and steps in to help. As drunk as she is – she decides to give him the town tour including a one-night deal…. Two months later he is riding back into town and now she catches him talking to her sister, well Marley doesn’t think before she blurts out that she is pregnant. The story takes off from there and boy it’s a roller coaster between them and the town… I loved the story – it had its sad points but a lot of funny ones. Love Dean especially when he is chatting with his new barn friends!

This was a really enjoyable read there were plenty of twists and turns to pull me in and keep me reading. I liked the characters and enjoyed getting to know them. This is a great book to curl up with.
When Dean and Marley have their wonderful night together neither thought about what could happen as a result.
Together through a lot of mistakes and learning to compromise they discover love and all it can give them.
