Who’s the hunter and who’s the prey?Activist Emily Sullivan left her fulfilling job in the Peace Corps to save her family’s ranch from bankruptcy. Her dream is to use renewable energy because conservation and education are her passion. Unfortunately, her parents believe there’s a greater profit allowing hunting tours to cull the local wild species. Emily vows to change their mind.Donovan Link … mind.
Donovan Link doesn’t stay in one place or with one job too long. This cowboy turned hunter is determined that the hunting lodge he built on the Three Sisters ranch will give him a nice nest egg so he could retire to Alaska, where the game is plentiful and his incarcerated father can never find him.
When these two opposites clash, sparks fly. Donovan sees Emily as a sabotaging eco-warrior and she sees him as a soulless trophy hunter. But they need to work together to keep the Three Sisters ranch in the black and fighting with each other — and falling in love — complicates an already impossible situation.

A really good cowboy romance.
Emily is finally back home from being in the Peace Corp on her family’s ranch. She has some ideas to save the ranch but can’t get behind the one that involves Donovan, the man who bought a chunk of property to run a hunting lodge on. The reason she can’t get behind it is the simple fact she has been a vegetarian for most of her life and she can’t stand to see people harm animals for the fun of it. But she also can’t seem to ignore her attraction to Donovan and that’s got her really confused. Donovan is attracted to Emily but doesn’t think he can settle down with anyone because of his family. So with two huge issues is it possible for them to be together?
This is the second book in the Three Sisters Ranch and really should be read in the order it was written as they build on each other.

Can a Hunter and a vegetarian make their relationship work. He grins a ledge for hunters and is also trying to clear out some of the destructive wild hogs on the property. She hates guns and won’t eat meat.
Can they work out their difference.
** spoiler alert ** She’s a vegetarian on a ranch, he has never had a “home”. They are like oil and water. Will they find a common ground?
Have to say, I fell in love with both of these characters. I loved the fact that she was determined to do what she could to save the family farm and was thinking outside the old ways to do it. I loved the fact that despite his upbringing, he really was a good man and was determined to do right by those around him. Good read and cannot wait to read more from this author!
Emily Sullivan wants to do her part to save the earth and protect those that inhabit it. When she finds out her parents have leased some of the ranch to a hunter, Donovan Link, who take groups out on hunting excursions she tries to put a stop to it. Wonderful enemies to lovers romance!

Emily Sullivan’s family owns a cattle ranch and she is a vegetarian. She had joined the peace corps and left home but she is called back because the ranch is close to bankruptcy and the family is rallying to save it.
Donovan Link has leased some of the land on the ranch for a hunter’s paradise. He is a responsible hunter but Emily hates the idea of killing animals period and she is determined to stop his business on their land but the more time she spends with Donovan, the more time she wants to spend with him. Can they work together to save the ranch or will they always be at odds?
I liked the story but didn’t like the constant f-bombs or very descriptive sex scenes. I was given an arc copy of this book and I willingly offer my review.
I received a complimentary copy of this book and I am voluntarily reviewing it.
This was a great book. I could really understand both sides of the argument between animal lover Emily Sullivan and animal hunter Donovan Link. Even though they are fundamentally different in regards to killing animals, these two fell in love. Unfortunately I really felt that Emily needed to grow up and realize that Donovan’s hunting groups were keeping an invasive species (feral hogs) from completely overwhelming the family’s ranch. She acted like a child at one point and was injured.
This book also included characters that we were introduced to in the first book of the series. It isn’t necessary to read that one as the author did a great job of informing the reader as to the different characters’ background. It was a wonderful book and I would recommend it as well. I also appreciated the book being written in a dual POV format. It really helped me to understand Emily a lot better.
This is a sexy read so I would highly recommend it for anyone over the age of 18.
Loved the book it was great, the story was well written and the characters are interesting. Emily has come back to save the family farm. Donovan has rented a small piece of their land. Donovan and Emily are opposites attract, they argued a lot to become as close as pos.

Eco warrior and hunter supreme. Can these two find a happy median? With their super sexy chemistry, you bet. At odds over ranch usage and animals, Emily and Donovan go at it in heated push/pulls and arguments with passion. Soon that passion turns into a steamy connection and they meet in the middle to resolve their issues so their blooming romance doesn’t suffer. Great characters and an enjoyable storyline makes for a good read.

When a vegetarian and a hunter fall for each other sparks will fly
The Cowboy’s Hunt is Book Two in the Three Sisters Ranch series and it is as good as the first book, The Cowboy’s Daughter. This is the story of Emily Sullivan who one of the Sullivan sisters. She returns to the family ranch after being called back by her Dad with word that the situation was dire and she was needed urgently. She soon discovers that things are not quite as dire as she had been led to believe. One of the reasons for this as she also discovers is that Donovan Link has leased part of the family ranch to set up a hunting lodge and has rights for his guests to hunt on the ranch land. This does not sit very well with Emily as she is a vegetarian. These two are like oil and water…………..they don’t mix. But somehow they are still drawn to each other with an attraction that cannot be denied, no matter how much they each try to fight it.
The story of Emily and Donovan is fun and engaging with witty dialogue, interesting characters and an intriguing story-line. I enjoyed this book in the series and look forward to reading about the last sister Janice next.
I received a free ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review. My opinions are all my own.

Very enjoyable and engaging book.
The loving relationship between Emily and Donovan is base on trust.
They were both so different, but appreciated each other’s way of thinking.
Emily is too impulsive but Donovan is very patient man.
I would have liked a little more reality in their characters but I’m really a fan of hot romance, so is definitely recommendation from me

I tend to enjoy opposites attract and I enjoy Jamie’s stories..so in this one we have Donovan who is working for Emily’s family. Emily just got out of peace core and she does anything she can to sabotoge Donovan..She was a little on the crazy side for me I got that she was a vegetarian and trying to protect them but sometimes she was just a little too much..All in all because I do not want to give to much away and I want you to read…They did have chemistry to boot.. Enjoy!

This is the second story in this trilogy of the Three Sisters Ranch series, and this one is just as good as the first one was. Here some details are revealed from the first one if one could say so, but still each story is stand alone. I just loved the storyline and the characters. Of course there are some oddities but that is the prerogative of a writer, i.e. not to write the whole truth and nothing but the truth!!! This one kept me reading from beginning to the end with hardly a break, it was such fun to read this one. As always, this is only my opinion and always better for each reader to judge by themselves.

Talk about opposites attract. Emily is a vegan and Peace Corp activist. Donovan is a hunter. When Emily comes home to help save her ranch. She wants to take over the duties and run the ranch, but she is seen as the baby with big ideas. She really hates what Donovan does including having hunting parties on the land he rents from her father. Even with all that she is truly attracted to him. As she gets to know him and his secrets, she is even more in awe of him. She just can’t get past what he does. I thought the chemistry between this couple was real and the struggle to understand each others life was true to life. There are few times in the story where her life was truly in danger and he came to the rescue and I just swooned.
Story of opposites attract. Emily has always been the baby of the family. She left home to go into the Peace Corps. She gets a call to come home and she finds out they are about to lose the ranch and has leased part of the land to Donovan. Donovan is a hunter who has started a hunting lodge. They argue at every turn, but yet they both seek adventure. Donovan has a dark past. What will happen with them warring against each other? Why is the ranch being over ran by hogs? Can Emily get her family on board wit her plans for the ranch? Can Emily and Donovan find a middle ground? What will happen in the end?

The Cowboy’s Hunt is the second book in the Three Sisters Ranch Series. Emily is the baby, the wild child, the vegetarian on a cattle ranch. Donovan is a hunter on her family’s ranch, a necessary evil in Emily’s eyes, one she tries to thwart at every turn, but one she also is falling for. When their ideals put them at odds, will love win for Emily and Donovan?
This book was really good! I enjoyed the storyline, I enjoyed all of their backgrounds and what made Emily and Donovan their own character, I loved their passion that drew them together, and I loved their will to fight for what they believe in! At first glance, Emily and Donovan seem like they are oil and water, and in some ways they are, but I love that they bonded together, found a slight truce, and found ways that they could relate and heal each other’s wounds. There’s a lot that happens in this book, with Donovan’s father, with the wind turbines, with the hunting, and with two characters coming together. My interest was captured and held through the pages and I really wanted to know what might happen next. There were a few things in the plot I would have liked to have seen more of, or a solid conclusion to, but I really liked Emily and Donovan and I look forward to the next book in the series!
3.5 stars.
Well, this was lovely.
This time we have the story of Emily and Donovan; she’s one of the three sisters who’s trying to save the ranch, and he’s renting part of the land to do hunting for paying customers. Obviously that last part doesn’t go well with activist and vegetarian Emily.
So, there was tension between these two, there was no way they could get along; however, as they get to know each other, they realized there were similar in many ways and maybe things could work out. It also did help there was crazy chemistry between them.
I liked Emily a lot, she had her ideals and even though they were contrary to what her family thought, they all compromised in the name of family. I loved her ideas for the future of the ranch and how she was thinking in the long run. I loved her with Donovan, and how she made a place in her heart for a guy so opposite of her. <3
Donovan was a good guy, even though I wasn0t totally sold on his business, I could see why he loved it. His past was heartbreaking, and I wanted to hug him so bad. I was happy he didn’t let that define him and made a life of his own. I also liked he let Emily into his heart and how he was on his way to healing.
This is the second book in this series, and much like the first, a very enjoyable and fun read.
*Thank you to the author for providing a copy for which I’m giving my honest opinion*
