Chelsea Karnes has dreamed of moving out west to “wide open spaces” ever since reading her first cowboy romance. So when Chelsea gets offered a teaching position in an alternative elementary school in rural Texas she sees it as fate’s design and goes all in. What she didn’t intend was meeting a hotter-than-hell cowboy and sharing a night of passion with him on her her reconnaissance trip to find … find a place to live.
After a childhood spent screwing-up everything he cared about, Parker Trent is now a careful man—very careful. He’s inherited a sizeable dairy farm from his father and prides himself on the purity of his milk and the purity of his dating record: he only dates tourists. But when his dairy farm’s accounts are called into question and his hot hookup from the summer turns up—pregnant—as the alternative school’s new kindergarten teacher, not only is his dating record broken, but his world is turned upside down.
Chelsea is perfectly happy raising the baby on her own, but Parker refuses to fail at fatherhood. The more time they spend together, the more Parker is determined to show he can be the father their child needs. Recruiting himself to help with the school’s adaptive animal program—the program Chelsea happens to run—seems like a chance to show Chelsea that he means business when it comes to parenting.
But spending time with Chelsea has Parker longing to be more than just a father… for the first time in his life he’s wondering what it would be like to be a husband, too.

I have not read a bad book from this author yet and this book is no exception! The great plot and character development kept me so engaged throughout the entire book that I had a very hard time putting this book down until the very last page was turned!

I really enjoyed reading Chelsea and Parker’s book, these two meet and the chemistry is off the charts and they spend the night together which results in her getting pregnant. Parker’s reaction at first is not good but he determined to be part of his child’s life. I enjoyed watching these two get to know each other this was a super read and I really enjoyed it.
Parker doesn’t do commitment. He lives in a small town with people passing through.
He meets Chelsea and they hook up.
Only Chelsea is in town for an interview as the new teacher.
When she shows back up pregnant, Parker is not happy with the situation. But he gives her a place to stay and she’s helping him sort out the financial mess that is his dairy farm.
Chelsea is taken with cowboys and the West. Now she’s knocked up by a cowboy.
Will Parker make an effort to.be a father and maybe a husband? Cuz all his relationships have crashed and burned.

The blurb of this book is crazily long. Anyone could get the idea that this story is saturated with different plots and lots of character development. That impression couldn’t have been more misplaced. This has been a pain to read in many levels…
We put on our stetsons and cowboy boots to travel to a small town in Texas, where Chelsea, the newcomer, has just got a position as a kindergarten teacher. Her first night there, she goes to a bar and meets Parker, the cowboy by day and hunk by all hours. They present each other and, in less than you can say potato, they start kissing and getting all handy. This ends in an unexpected pregnancy (Chelseas’s, duh!!). Too bad she doesn’t even know where the guy lives or his surname. It seems motherhood is a challenge she will face alone… unless Fate has other plans…
This book is so bad, I don’t know where to start. I guess I could talk about the story, but… what story?? The most interesting and suspenseful part of the book is knowing if a cow is going to give more or less milk. Honest! There is nothing else that could keep the reader on turning pages. Nothing remotely interesting at least. We are presented with a lot of strange plot threads: the pregnancy, the romance, the Trent family, the problems of the dairy, the new animal program on Chelsea’s school… A bunch of ideas thrown together that are pretty messy and very badly developed. So, so badly that most of them are incomplete. Why do you introduce so many plots if you are going to forget about them? If the romance were mindblowing I could forgive it, but taking into account it is horrible… at least give me something else, don’t you think?
I guess the focus is on the pregnancy and that Chelsea was facing it as a single mother due to the fact she didn’t know how to contact Parker. Sadly, it starts in a very poor and infurating manner. How can Chelsea be surprised about her pregnancy? You had UNPROTECTED sex with a person you had just met. The only thing you knew about the guy was his name. Getting a baby is actually the best case scenario. Or STDs have been eradicated and I haven’t got the memo? I don’t think so. It baffles me how normal this book makes having unsafe sex with a stranger. It even hints about being Parker’s MO. Not two chapters into the book and my blood was already boiling. I couldn’t believe what I was reading.
And if you think we could count on the characters to save this mess… you are wrong. What an annoying bunch of human beings. I will start with Chelsea. Could she be more of a whiner? I get she is used to doing everything by herself, but her inability to accept kindness is madenning. She gets so angry with Parker everytime he tries to help her. Yes, it is bad form to go behind her back to rearrange her life (for the better), but that doesn’t grant her the freedom to lash out like that. And the hypocrisy of this woman is boundless!!! She complaints about Parker’s antics, but she does exactly the same to him several times. And she has the nerve to get angry when Parker doesn’t like that? I can’t stomach her.
And Parker… well… he is slightly better. But just a little bit. If you don’t like Chelsea getting angry when you help her, I guess you have lost the right of being angry when she helps you. I have just realized the book is just a dance about who is angry at a time. They both take turns, so during most of the book at least one of them is pissed at the other. So much fun. Horrible couple. That makes the sex scenes (the copy/paste to get more pages) unbearable.
Yes, I have had too many “Kill me now!!” moments while reading this book. I always try to find something positive, but this time I can’t save anything. Let’s hope next books on my list are better, because the last ones are making me rethink about the getting up-to-date with my NetGalley reviews…
She has taken a new job and she goes to check out a new home before starting. She meets him and they have one night together. She ends up pregnant which surprises him. He only dates tourist and he goes that out of the water now. How will he cope? Will he want to be a father? What if he wants more? Will she as well? See what will happen

Chelsea is in town to interview for a new job which she hopes to get and start fresh there in the little town. On her first night there she meets Parker in a bar and they hook up for a hot night. The next day when he is gone Chelsea moves on with her life not knowing that a little something was left with her from that night. When she gets hired for the school she moves to town however with school not in session yet she needs a temporary job so she responds to an ad looking for a book keeper. Imagine her shock when Parker opens the door and looks angry because she is there. Will she tell him about the baby? What will Parker do about Chelsea?
This is a great story that I couldn’t put down once I started it. The chemistry between them is scorching hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend it to any book lover.

What an emotion filled book! Chelsea is in town for a interview. There she meets Parker. Chelsea and Parker had a passionate night together. Parker doesn’t do commitment. He believes he doesn’t have that in him to give. Chelsea sees Parker again when Chelsea agrees to help his sister. When Parker sees Chelsea again, feelings are brought up he thought he buried. Chelsea is back in town to stay with a surprise. As they navigate the ups and downs, their relationship blossoms. What a satisfying and happy HEA.

The Cowboy’s Heir is a steady-paced, easy to read and sometimes complicated story of two people finding their way, after a moment of passion that was never meant to repeat. Chelsea and Parker come from very different backgrounds, but through unexpected events they find that their love of the wide-open spaces of Texas and a hard, yet simple way of life are actually the same.
While a times they both had frustrating tendencies, and lacked the ability to let go of their independence, this was an enjoyable read with a good storyline, and solid plot, and interesting characters. I look forward to Ms Jackson’s next rousing tale.
Cowboy drama galore! Parker and Chelsea have one hot night thinking they will never see each other again. As if the universe knew they couldn’t stop thinking about each other, Chelsea ends up working in the town where Parker lives, accepts a job she doesn’t realize is with him and shows up with a baby bump! Now the fireworks begin! I love the path their story takes with all the ups and downs until they realize they can have the HEA they crave.
When Chelsea has come to town for an interview at a school, she meets Parker and they have a one-nighter. Well, she left with a souvenir. When she gets the job and moves, she applies for a part time accounting job at Parker’s farm. He is totally surprised but steps up to the plate to take care of his baby. She has bought a house, fixer-upper sight unseen and finds out it is not fit for habitation. She moves her to his homestead and they get to know each other. They have some obstacles to overcome. Nicely written and enjoyable read.

An interesting cowboy romance.
Chelsea was looking forward to moving to Texas and starting a new chapter in her life. She went out for a job interview and met a cowboy the night before the interview she knew was doing the right thing. Three months later, she’s finally moving to Texas for her new job with one little surprise for the cowboy. But she doesn’t know his last name or anything about him to help find him until fate steps in. But can Parker give her the chance to explain before he ruins his chances with her and their little family?

I like that both Parker and Chelsea step up to the plate, and face their situation head on. They both went on a tumultuous emotional journey because of this. Ms. Jackson presented a story of a vulnerable cowboy.

Amazing and Enthralling! It is wonderfully written, sweet and consistent, and will take you on an emotional roller coaster. It is drama-packed, funny, exciting, and very interesting. The characters have great depth, are mature and strong. The chemistry between them is potent and instant; the sex scenes have sparks flying everywhere. This story is of love, openness, and forgiveness. The end is really beautiful and is guaranteed to leave you wanting more.

I really enjoyed this story. Chelsea always dreamed of having a hot sexy cowboy of her very own. She didn’t realize just how complicated things could get when her wish comes true.
It was supposed to be one night for Parker. Chelsea is everything he never knew he wanted. She’s smart, beautiful and she just gave him the surprise of his life. She’s pregnant with his baby.
“I voluntarily received this arc book for an honest review”
I liked this book. Likable characters, good chemistry, lots of emotions help make this an entertaining romance. Chelsea and Parker’s story is complicated by emotional baggage and misunderstandings. For me both of these characters had a certain amount of naivety to them. In my opinion they both had much to learn about how what you think or expect is most generally incredibly different from how things really are. It was fun watching them learn and grow together individually and as a couple.
I liked that Chelsea and Parker met before Chelsea moved definitely. I also liked that Parker tried to be protective and Chelsea was very independent. I am glad that both Parker and Chelsea were able to let down their guard and let each other help. I also loved the epilogue.

ONE FASCINATING ADVENTURE!!!
Oh Man! Talk about hot and bothered. A whirlwind of circumstances and events that keep you flipping page after page. One rollercoaster ride as a full range of emotions run rampant and draw you deeper until everything else ceases to exist. A thrilling storyline and explosive plot bring this bad boy to life beautifully. Endeavoring to overcome all the trials and tribulations along with a few bumps and bruises make for one incredible experience. The two main characters chemistry is intense, steamy and palpable. The characters are original, believable and so realistic with traits and qualities that blend and flow smoothly. The scenes are vividly described and paints an amazing backdrop that really pulls this little gem together flawlessly. Amazing job guys, thanks for sharing this little gem with us.
I really enjoyed this bbok. This is Parker and Chelsea’s story. I loved thsee two. The story begins with Chelsea following her dream of moving to Texas. On her first night she meets Parker and furfills her other dream to hookup with a cowboy. But Parker only hooks up with tourist, He doesn’t want to commit. But their one night of pleasure has left Chelsea pregnant. Chelsea has been offered the job to teach at the elementary school and has moved to town. Parker wasn’t expecting when his sister hired her to do the bookkeeping for the dairy farm that when he opened the door the woman he thought he would never see again was on his doorstep and pregnant. Once he got over the anger and shock, his protectiveness kicked in. It was fun watching Parker fall in love and to watch Chelsea learn to accept help. Both of them products of their past, both learning to grow. It was a realistic story and would read again.
