It would take a Christmas miracle to get these two together Veterinarian Janice Sullivan has been horse-crazy all her life and only wanted to work on her family’s cattle farm, the Three Sisters Ranch, but her father’s constant criticisms drove her away, forcing her to choose a new career in dressage and leaving her secret crush behind. With the ranch facing possible bankruptcy, Janice has an idea … Janice has an idea to save it – a woman’s retreat. With Christmas around the corner, Janice is not only hoping for a chance under the mistletoe with the one man she’s been unable to forget, but also to give a few cowgirl wannabes a chance in the saddle.
Bah humbug! The last thing ranch foreman Nate Pierson needs is a bunch of weepy or giggly eggnog-swilling city chicks getting in his way and distracting his men while they’re busting their tails wrangling long horns. His short temper and lack of patience often push people away except the one woman he needs to leave alone. As tempting as she is, Janice, the boss’ daughter, can never be anything more than a fantasy. The only Christmas spirit he wants is 100 proof, especially when he has to matchmake Janice with the ranch’s vet.
Nate knows from experience that Christmas miracles are for suckers, but it doesn’t stop his heart from wishing Janice could wind up under his tree instead of with the man her Daddy wants her to marry.

A second chance romance for a cowboy.
Janice has been in love with Nate, their ranch foreman, for years and although every once in a while he forgot he shouldn’t be with her, they’ve shared a few cozy moments together. But Janice is tired of waiting for Nate to tell her father how he feels about her.
I really enjoyed how Janice and Nate dealt with each other and how emotional this book made me.
This is the third book in the Three Sisters Ranch series and really needs to be read in the order it was written as it builds on from the first two books.

Unfortunately for Him, She’s NOT Sooo HOT for the PLAN…
Cuz She knows She’s “The Cowboy’s Heart,”
Even if He’s UnWill’n to Act Upon IT!?
I was granted, via B00|{$P®0UT, an ARC of Jamie K. Schmidt’s “The Cowboy’s Heart (Three Sisters Ranch Book 3).” I recommend this book to others based upon its own merits. All opinions expressed within this review are uniquely my own & freely given!
Until next time… Happy Reading!
1:Hate IT! Didn’t finish; usually only given if/when some contents truly objectionable (i.e. main characters does something awful & gets away w/it!)
2:Don’t like IT! Rating means I felt the writing was poor, editing was bad, I don’t care for characters, or book had some major flaw.
3: I like IT, BUT! There are minor issues… Rating means there’s editing issues, needs character development, is too unrealistic, or has issues– I do not consider it an overall bad rating.
4:I like IT a lot. Great, Solid Story w/ few if any inconsistencies or errors. This is a HIGH Rating, & I rarely give OUT a Higher Rating.
5: I LOVE IT! It’s Spectacular, & I’ll read IT Over & Over Again. Few books Receive this rating from me. HowEver, those that DO become Classics.
Janice and Nate’s love story is a slow-burning romance that causes both parties heartache and doubt, mixed with red-hot passion (strictly adults only),set against her family’s financial struggles to stay solvent against the mounting cost of ranching and not employing sufficient hands to manage the rough landscape and the dangerous wild hogs who populate the area.
An unpredictable path to love unfolds, as there are some health and emotional issues for Nate to overcome. Having to do the work of three men and support Janice’s ailing Dad, (who’s almost a father to him, especially when compared to his real father) is weakening Nate’s own health too, making him prone to mood-swings brought on by exhaustion and unexpected physical injuries as a result.
At times Frank Sullivan is a stubborn and unemotional parent, who risks becoming a stranger to Jessica and her two sisters, Kelly and Emily, to the despair of his wife. Yet trying to prove his love for his family and his physically demanding way of life managing the ranch, sometimes causes him to make the wrong decisions. When a rich, single young vet, Dr Pete, comes to help out at the ranch, it seems he could make the perfect husband for Jessie and be the solution for all the ranch’s financial woes. How does Jessica feel about Nate and Pete?
Would she be better off with rich, nice-but-she-doesn’t-love-him Dr Pete Dickerson?
Or will Jessica and Nate’s panty-melting sexual encounters prove a sound basis for a HEA?
Read the Cowboy’s Heart to learn the eye-popping truth of a Western love story like nothing you’ve ever read before – it’s a winner…yee-haaa!!

Can the firms. In the ranch and the owner’s daughter really fall in love and help save the ranch when her father wants her to marry the local veterinarian?
Entertaining and great characters. Third book in series.
I liked this holiday romance! After years away, Janice is back home to try and save the family ranch. She wants to make it into a women’s retreat. She’s hoping to get Nate to notice her and catch him under the mistletoe. She’s wants to be with him, while her dad wants her to marry the ranch vet. Liked the ending.
He is trying to save the ranch and the last thing he needs is a group of city girls especially with her back home. She has a idea to save the ranch and she hopes to get a kiss from him. Will they ever get that kiss? Will they be able to become a couple? Not if he helps to get her close to the vet? See Who Will gain her heart

Wonderful addition to the Three Sisters series. I would definitely recommend it. Loved all three books and the ideas that the sisters came up with to same the ranch. Each had their own unique thing.
Janice Sullivan fled home after her sisters left and went on to Kentucky where she became a vet tech. When she fled home she left a part of her heart there with Nate Pierson the ranch foreman. When Janice gets a call from her father saying the ranch is in trouble and she needs to come home she must deal with her feelings for Nate again. You won’t want to put this book down!
3.5 stars.
What a ride.
This is the last book of the series, and much like the other two, it doesn’t disappoint.
This time we hear from Janice and Nate; they’ve known each other for years and loved each other from afar; that doesn’t change even when Janice’s father awful behavior drives her away for years.
I really liked Janice, we heard from her in the previous nooks, so it’s great to hear more from her in this book. I loved her love for the ranch and her family; and adored her idea of a women’s retreat!
Nate was swoony and loved him, even though he was tough and kind of a jerk at times, lol. He had a good heart, so it’s all good. I loved him with Janice, how he showed his softer side. 🙂
These two were great and loved how they finally had their second chance at love.
It sucks that the series is over, I really enjoyed this girls and wish them happiness!
*Thank you to the author for providing a copy for which I’m giving my honest opinion*
I like Jamie’s books but this one bug the crap out of me. So we know the sisters are back to save the farm, there father was overbearing and totally annoying, he needed to step the hell back and let his daughters do what they needed to do it was his fault they were gone in the first place, that is how I saw things. so you think he would have learned but no, here is Nate and Janice who have cared for each other for years but he gets in the way. Now i could see Nate stepping back years ago, but this is your change now, ball the hell up and get the woman you supposedly love. Janice if a guy doesn’t man up its time to move the hell on.

The Cowboy’s Heart is the third in Jamie K Schmidt’s Three Sisters Ranch series. I couldn’t wait for Janice Sullivan’s turn. I enjoyed the first two in series and was looking forward to The Cowboy’s Heart.
Finally, Janice and Nate get together. After Janice’s long standing crush and Nate being warned off the daughters of the ranch, I was very happy how things worked out.
This was a good story that did give me some difficulty to put it down. There was a lot in this story but each character was introduced quite well and it was not difficult to keep them straight. I would like to see if this is part of a series and would like to read the rest of the series.

Another terrific Three Sisters ranch story in this slow-burn romance between sister Janice and longtime friend Nate. Quite entertaining as these two dance around each with Janice trying to fulfill her longtime crush on Nate as he tries to avoid the building chemistry. When they both get on the same page their relationship takes a sexy turn and there’s no stopping the sizzling heat. But they both have issues to overcome before they get to their happy place. Worth the read!

Absolutely fantastic! A well written emotionally deep romance. The storyline is flawless, funny, witty, enjoyable, and very interesting. The story flows smoothly and moves along at a brisk pace with a few ups and downs and a mix of emotions on every page. The chemistry between them is intense and their love scenes are beautifully written and HOT!

So many different feelings are brought out in this book. You might even cry. Janice is back on her family farm, trying to build a retreat to save the farm. Nate has been the ranch foreman for years. Janice has had a crush on him since she was sixteen. Nate has loved her just as long, but her father made it clear to him that she was off limits. Can they save the ranch? Can Janice get her retreat off the ground? Can her and Nate ever find each other? Why does every one keep pushing her to Doc Pete? Yes they have a lot in common, but can they love each other? Why does her dad keep pushing her to be a vet for large animals?

A kiss under the mistletoe…………..or maybe not
What a great story to end the Three Sisters Ranch series with. The Cowboy’s Heart is the story of Janice and Nate. She is a vet who has only ever wanted to work on the family ranch but instead left because of her father’s unrelenting criticism, as happened with all of the sisters. But as with Kelly and Emily Janice has come back to the Three Sisters Ranch because of the financial crisis that it is facing. Janice has also come with a great idea of how to make some money by starting a women’s retreat.
Nate is the ranch’s foreman but he also has been Janice’s crush forever. Nate has also wanted Janice for years but as she is the boss’s daughter she is off limits to him. But when Janice is set-up with the local vet, Pete, by her father as part of a plan to marry her off to the wealthy doctor and save the ranch in the process, Nate has to make a decision once and for all. Will he choose to make his and Janice’s Christmas wishes come true or will he wake up all alone on Christmas morning?
This story is really great and al fantastic way to end the series. It still has a crazy family and cast of characters but they all care and love each other as with most families. The author has written a story that has emotion and is fun, sweet, sexy, romantic and completely engaging. I am sorry this is the last book……………maybe there can be a spin-off of cousins down the road next???

Jamie K. Schmidt’s
The Cowboy’s Hunt (Three Sisters Ranch Book 3) When Janice Sullivan comes home to help save the family ranch with her women’s retreat let’s just say that things are not going like she wants plus throw in her teenage crush, who is the ranch foreman, Nate Pierson. Things get pretty crazy. You definitely want to grab this book and see what shenanigans these two are up to on The Three Sisters Ranch. Can these two get what they want? Definitely recommend this book and looking forward to reading more from this author

The Cowboy’s Heart although the third in the Three sisters ranch series is the first one I’ve read. I was able to pick up the family drama rather easily but will definitely be reading the first two. I enjoyed the entertaining writing style and there was never a dull moment. The story of Janice and Nate is a frustrating, slow burning, steamy romance. I recommend this book to those who enjoy sweet, emotional, hot romances
