Bella Whitmore is the heir to the Whitmore Shipping fortune. Refusing to be pigeon-holed into the socialite box, Bella has worked her entire life to show her father that she can be the son he never had and take over the Whitmore Shipping Empire. So when she wakes up, on a ranch in Montana, missing the memories of the last month of her life, you’d think that would be the worst case scenario. And … And it is…until she realizes the devil she’d worked so hard to avoid for the last year is now her husband.
Sawyer Cooper knows he’s a devil. Handsome, charismatic, and with an eye for feeding people’s vices, Sawyer’s reinvented himself as a shark in the business world, but very few realize that he’s actually a Cooper of the Country Coop fortune. But rather than resting on the laurels (and red-neck reputation) of Country Coop, Sawyer wants to show the world exactly how important farming can be. To do this, he needs Bella Whitmore’s help. Every bit as beautiful as her name suggests, and smarter than everyone else in the room, Sawyer knows that she could make his dreams come true, both inside and outside of the bedroom. And after a year of pursuing her, she’s finally said yes — to everything.
But after a horseback riding accident, Bella’s brain has reset back to the beginning, and Sawyer was never good at starting a game over. Especially not after he’d already won. Now, Sawyer needs to figure out how to woo her for a second time. Because this time around it’s not just his professional pride on the line: it’s his heart.

This was an okay, quick read. The writing flowed well for the most part, but the beginning was a little stilted for me. I would have liked to know the past myself, instead of being dropped into the story a month in the future with no idea how they got there. I felt like Bella held the whole arrangement against Sawyer, even though she agreed to it in the first place. Sawyer was being a jerk about the whole thing being “his”. I didn’t quite understand why he acted that way. This is supposed to be the first in a series about brothers, and while some names were mentioned, no of the other brothers make an appearance. I would have liked to learn a little about them. The ending was sweet, and fit with the story.

Bella Whitmore has worked for years in her father’s company, Whitmore Shipping, trying to earn his respect. She hopes one day to take his place as the head of the company, but those hopes are dashed when she hears him say that she will never take the helm as she is a woman. She overheard her father explain this to Sawyer Cooper who is a member of the wealthy Cooper, Country Coop family and fortune. Sawyer has tried to get closer to Bella and after a year of her avoiding him she has finally said yes. Bella is smart, beautiful and desirable and he wants her for himself. We move forward to when Bella finds herself in Montana with Sawyer, but she doesn’t know why. Bella fell off her horse while riding with Sawyer and has temporary amnesia and doesn’t remember the events of the past month. Why is she in Montana? Why is she with Sawyer? Will her memories of the past month return? Sawyer has plans to establish a company that will move fresh farm products directly to homes. He must convince Bella of his love and that with her knowledge of shipping they can make this new company a success. This is an interesting story with strong characters in Sawyer and Bella. The author moves the story at a quick pace , fills it with drama and intrigue dealing with memory loss. it’s well written and was fun watching them deal with and work at their relationship. The author pulls at your emotions in this one. I enjoyed reading and would recommend this book.

I love the way Bella challenges Sawyer to be a better man.
Sawyer is all that and a bag of chips, and he knows it, too. Bella loves the way he stands up for her, but he still has a ways to go to win her heart. Until she wakes up after a concussion, missing a month’s worth of memories and discovering that she’s spent that month married to Sawyer.
The author does a good job of taking us along as Bella regains her life, and as she and Sawyer continue to develop the business plan that brought them together. Bella is an inherently strong woman who learns to stand up for herself, and in that she was the true heroine of this story. Sawyer was certainly wonderful boyfriend material, but he had a tough time learning to show his respect for Bella.
The HEA was surprising but sweet, and there was plenty of steam in this book to power us through. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
