The cowboy’s fate was a sweet enjoyable read. Eve is a hardworking, independent, ranching consultant who embarks on a trip to West Texas with surprising results. She meets Caleb, a rancher, who has waited enough to find the right woman to settle down with. The chemistry between these two was perfect and it was love at first sight.
I loved the communication between these two even when distance became an obstacle in their relationship and highly recommend this book to anyone. I also did like the character David and i hope he finds his true love too.
Another excellent book by Janalyn Knight! Two people with seemingly different wants and needs are attracted to each other. Lots of soul searching among the hot romance before we reach the HEA. Personally I am eagerly awaiting the next book.
They have both given up on love although he keeps looking for his mate. She is there to tell him how to run his ranch better. She will fall into his bed but will leave him to go back home. Can he get her back? What if another man appears? What will she do? See what she does in the end

I Loved this book! Caleb was depicted so realistically as an extremely lonely cattle rancher who wants to meet the one woman that he could love and raise a family with all while living in the El Paso area, a part of Texas that is mostly desert and where the opportunities to meet women are difficult, to say the least. Enter Eve, who is a young ranching consultant whose business is based out of Dallas and from where she travels all over the state to consult with and help ranchers improve the efficiency of their ranches. When Caleb and Eve meet their attraction to each other is incredibly strong but both of them acknowledge the difficulties that would exist if they tried to develop an actual relationship. That’s what they say, anyway. Caleb is not ready to give up on their burgeoning love though when it comes time for Eve to return to Dallas. I just loved how he proceeded to pretty much start an old fashioned courtship of her with beautiful, loving texts and the messages he included with the flowers he would send her. He was the perfect book boyfriend! Persistent, but not pushy! There is a bit of a conflict when Eve’s long-time friend, David decides he wants to be more than a friend and tries to muddy the waters by presenting a way for Eve to expand her business while making sure she would have to remain in Dallas and far away from Caleb. Ms. Knight did an excellent job in portraying the character of David as having a solid friend-only relationship with Eve while leaving the reader with the very subtle impression that there was just something a little bit off with that.
**Spoiler Alert** I also liked how the possibility of an OOPS was not presented with an instant solution, but that Eve put some real thought into all of her options (immediately rejecting the most obvious one thank goodness) and how Caleb was supportive to the point that he offered to be a single father if that was what she would want.
Needless to say, a solution is found that allows Eve to maintain her dream business but that does not involve David in any way and Caleb and Eve get their HEA plus the author gives us a lovely epilogue to round out the story well. I absolutely love, love, love a good epilogue!! We also get to meet the middle Govain brother, Adam at the very end of this book and I am already anticipating seeing what his story will be.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
I loved this story and how they both have to overcome things to get to their happy ending. I am looking forward to reading more from this author in this series. Caleb and Eve have some serious things that cause them to be apart and unhappy.

Eve is a ranching consultant. Caleb wants his family ranch to become more profitable. She spends a few days at his ranch, and comes up with plans for the ranch. Their attraction is off the charts. But his life is the ranch in west Texas, and her life and business are in Dallas. After she leaves, they fall in love via text. Can they make this work? What about her friend David? This is one of the sweetest books I’ve read. Eve and Caleb are so completely suited for each other, and his parents are gems. This is a new-to-me author, and I’m glad I had a chance to read the first book in this new series.

I wasn’t sure if I like this book and I’m so happy that I gave it a chance.
Love the story and charactesr very much. Storyline is great.
What a quandary the author presents in this story. Whether to stay where she is and go for her dream come true or move out to the middle of nowhere and go for a new dream with her cowboy. It’s easy to see how complicated it all is as Eve’s answer will undoubtedly hurt someone. David has the money and connections; Caleb has the heart of a poet.
I received an advanced reader copy from the author in exchange for my volunteer review.
