She’s moved home, but can she move on?One night with professional bull rider Trent Campbell had been everything that Kelly Sullivan had fantasized about. Unfortunately, it cost her everything. When she became pregnant, her father threw her out because she wouldn’t tell him the baby’s father was his rodeo hero—the hero who ghosted her when she tried so many times to tell him about their daughter.… about their daughter.
Trent Campbell never forgot the best night of his life. It was what kept him going when a 2,000-lbs bull ended his career and almost his life. Throughout his long recovery, thinking of Kelly and wishing he still had his stolen phone so he could contact her, were what got him through the tough days—that, and his bull-headed stubbornness that he’d not only walk again, he’d ride.
When Kelly returns to Last Stand, Texas, in a last-ditch effort to keep her family from selling the Three Sisters Ranch, she has a plan to make her father proud of her again by turning part of the land into a portrait studio location. Her father, however, has already temporary leased Trent some land for a rodeo school. Kelly and Trent still have the same explosive chemistry, but now the stakes are higher. If she lets Trent into her life, it won’t only be her heart he breaks this time if he leaves, it will be their daughter’s.

Kelly Sullivan tried to tell rodeo star Trent Campbell that he was going to be a father, but he never return her calls and his manager didn’t let him know. He was player who slept with many women during his career until he was thrown from a bull, breaking several bones, and almost dying ended it. But now he’s renting part of her family’s land for a bull riding school and Kelly has to confront her past and tell him about their daughter while working with her sisters to save their family’s ranch. Trent is not the man he used to be, but I didn’t like how he blamed Kelly for getting pregnant when his condom broke and not trying harder to contact him about his daughter.
I liked Kelly and Trent’s story. This second chance romance delivers plenty of feels, heat and realism. I thought Kelly was awesome! She was spunky, strong and smart; she deserved so much better from her parents. My heart really ached for her. Trent was incredibly likable. Strong, determined and a I though a genuine all-around good guy. There is lots of tension, emotional turmoil, some drama and a few jaw dropping twists will keep your attention focused and make you want to find out what happens next.
This was a delightfully charming story by an author who was new to me. The characters are very believable and work through the drama and issues needed to reach their HEA. I am eager to read whatever else this author has to offer.

The Cowboy’s Daughter is the first book in the Three Sisters Ranch series and a great second chance cowboy romance. Five years ago, Trent and Kelly had a one night stand, that left her pregnant. She tried to reach out to Trent to let him know, and thought she did, but he never received her messages, and he never found out. Now, five years later she returns home, with her daughter in tow, and the cowboy is in for a big surprise. This story is well written, with an intriguing storyline and the characters are undeniably charming and relateable. I highly recommend and I am so looking forward to the next book in the series.

A well written perfectly paced story pulling you in from the start. A misunderstanding that Kelly had to deal with before Trent reappears back in the picture. Trent ended his career as a bull rider not on his terms when a bull put him in the hospital and rehab for years of recovery. Cannot wait to read the next book in this series.
What a great book!! I loved this read. This is a book about second chances.
Kelly is a single mom that has been asked to come back home after being gone for 5 years. Things are not looking good for the family ranch and Kelly and her sisters have been asked to come back home “one last time” to say goodbye to the ranch.
Trent is still trying to recover from his rodeo accident that left him never able to bull ride again. The doctors said he would never walk again, but he proved them wrong. Getting around isn;t easy, but with sheer determination and stubbornness, he is determined to prove them wrong.
This story takes us on their journey of recovery, of both the body and the heart.
Strong story line, awesome description to detail, fantastic characters (can not wait for more books in this series), and entertaining dialogue.
Written as a 3rd person, multi pov with a HFN ending. I am assuming there will be more books for each of the sisters and we will see a more HEA for these 2 in the upcoming books (at least I hope so!)
Would I recommend this book? Absolutely!
Would I read more from this author? Yes

If you are looking for a cowboy second chance romance that will give you all the feels look no further than The Cowboy’s Daughter Book 1 in the new Three Sisters Ranch Series.
Kelly comes home to the family ranch believing her family are about to lose it, her father has got all three of his daughters home under the pretext of the ranch is going to be repossessed. Kelly is determined to save the family home but when she comes face to face with the man who not only broke her heart all those years ago but who also denied all knowledge of his daughter she feels like packing up and taking her daughter back to New York.
Trent is just getting back on his feet after a horrific accident on his last bull ride and he is renting some land on the ranch to start a bull riding school and the last thing he expects is to find out the girl that he believed walked away has turned up with a daughter in tow.
A heartwarming romance with plenty of misunderstandings and an adorable 5 year old all make this book a great read. It’s emotional, it’s witty and at times it’s heartbreaking but I loved the characters and the plot and I’m really looking forward to book 2 in this series.
Weakness is life’s way of teaching us how to be strong. Schmidt takes those words and crafts an inspirational story around them. Kelly and Trent had one night of perfection in each others arms. But at what cost? Can the heartache caused by that steamy night be healed by the power of love? The Cowboy’s Daughter encompasses two love stories in one sweet life lesson.
Second chance, Kelly and her daughter come back to the ranch to try and save it with her 2 sisters. What she does not know is her dad has leased part of it to her daughters father Trent.
Trent runs in to Kelly her first night in town and she relies he does not know about their daughter, how is she going to tell him or her family?
This is their story, you will laugh, cry and wonder how can we mess things up so bad?
Great characters and gripping story.

Kelly has always had a thing for Trent and one night she got him. Little did she know that one night would change her life especially with her family. Now it’s five years later and her father has called his girls about selling the ranch. He left out the fact that he rented out a portion of the ranch. Kelly gets the shock of seeing Trent again but how will she explain to him that he now has an addition to his family?

Heartwarming second-chance cowboy romance!
Kelly is drawn back home from New York when her family’s ranch is facing financial ruin. Determined to help wherever she can, she’s equally determined to avoid the entire subject of her daughter’s father, a renown and retired bull-rider who has avoided her calls since their one-night-stand nearly six years earlier.
Trent is still finding his footing after the ride that ended his career nearly ended his life as well. He wants to start a bull-riding school on a local ranch, not knowing even a hint that he’s already very connected to that ranch and its family.
This secret/unknown baby story rises above the usual with complex storytelling, well-developed characters, and an honest approach to the difficulties inherent in the characters’ histories. It’s instantly captivating, full of surprises, building a fictional environment that is as fresh and inviting as it is warm and familiar. It’s an outstanding start to a new series, and I highly recommend it.
My only complaint is not with the writing itself, but with having to once again ignore a cover in order to escape into a book. Alissa is referred to as blonde at least three different times, despite the very obvious brunette child on the cover. It can’t be that hard to get it right. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
This new series centers around three sisters who had left home and now as adults , return home when the father claims he will be selling the family’s struggling ranch. They are determined to keep the ranch by incorporating each of their talents.
One of them, Kelly Sullivan left home when her father threw her out because she was pregnant and didn’t reveal the child’s father.
Trent Campbell , a bullfighter that suffered a serious injury, was the father. He never forgot Kelly, but with no last name, and a phone that was destroyed, he never knew .
Life’s twits and turns brings them face to face.
Though the story started with great promise, it loss steam , and the push and pull between Trent and Kelly was exhausting. I was never fulling engaged.
I was entrusted a copy of this book by Netgalley and Tule Publishing. The opinions expressed are soley my own.
What a truly delightful book this was.
I liked that in many ways this was a secret baby book but yet it wasn’t. It wasn’t the type of book where one parent tried to keep it a secret or once they met again, it got strung along before the big reveal.
I really liked the character of Kelly. She was an amazing mother and sister. She tried her hardest to be a great daughter but her father wasn’t someone who was easy to love. I admire what she has done with herself while being a single parent to a lovely little girl. I also respected how she tried to get in contact with Trent about the pregnancy but yet things happened and he never found out.
Trent is a man who is looking to reinvent himself. After an ugly turn on a bull he has been slowly finding himself again and is well on his way when he sees Kelly again. I really enjoyed when Trent found out. He took to fatherhood immediately and also began to wonder about others. This just tells you the type of stand up kind of guy he was.

The Cowboy’s Daughter by Jamie K. Schmidt is the first book in her Three Sisters Ranch series. This was a quick and easy read with the usual family angst where in the end you’ll have a HEA. I’d give the book a 4.5 rating only because I would’ve loved to have a conclusion with Kelly Sullivan and her father. While I understand the ending where Trent makes a choice to be in the rodeo again I have to wonder why? Yes, money and the bull’s good stuff is a good reason.
Kelly Sullivan had a one night stand with a pro bull riding Trent Campbell when the rodeo came to Last Stand, Texas. She wouldn’t tell her father who the father of the baby was so she had to leave the ranch for NYC to becoming a portrait photographer. She doesn’t know Tent will be crushed by his last bull ride, have his phone stolen that leaves him with injuries that has taken years to recover. When Kelly receives a message from her father that the ranch will be sold all three sisters will go back home trying to mend ties with her dad. Will she be able to heal herself, father and Trent and make a go of her business on the ranch?
Trent Campbell misses two things Kelly his one night stand and bull riding so when he’s asked to announce the rodeo in Last Stand he wonders if he’ll see Kelly again. When she finds out he’s renting land from her father for his bull riding school she’ll have to introduce him to his daughter and decide if her business doesn’t get a loan will she have to share Alissa with him? When Kelly’s father has another heart attack and he’s injured at the rodeo will he be able to convince her to stay in Last Stand?
I loved it! That was some story. The many different twist in the plot gave it an edge. The characters emotions were remarkable. The happily ever after was so sweet and heartwarming. It was an excellent read you won’t be disappointed.

A sweet second chance romance. A single mother goes back to help save the family ranch with the help of her sisters. Seeks fathers approval, runs into her childs father. Misunderstandings, family drama, love, romance….enjoy.

The Cowboy’s Daughter is the first book in Jamie K. Schmidt’s Three Sisters Ranch. As the series title implies, this will essentially follow the three Sullivan sisters, and tell the story behind each of their travels after leaving the family ranch and what has ultimately brought them all home.
This first book is Kelly’s story. A woman scorned by those who should have supported and loved her, she has come home in an attempt to save a place with painful memories, but the home she always adored. But Kelly isn’t arriving alone; and the surprise that awaits an unsuspecting Cowboy, will rock the very foundation of hero worship, years of heartbreaking betrayal and long buried feelings that are not welcome in this tenuous reunion.
The Cowboy’s Daughter is a well-written, emotional and heartfelt story, with a bevy of characters, an informative and intriguing storyline, and plenty of angst, drama and passion too. I thoroughly enjoyed this wonderful tale and can’t wait to see what happens with Janice and Emily too!
