She’s moved home, but can she move on?One night with professional bull rider Trent Campbell had been everything that Kelly Sullivan had fantasized about. Unfortunately, it cost her everything. When she became pregnant, her father threw her out because she wouldn’t tell him the baby’s father was his rodeo hero—the hero who ghosted her when she tried so many times to tell him about their daughter.… about their daughter.
Trent Campbell never forgot the best night of his life. It was what kept him going when a 2,000-lbs bull ended his career and almost his life. Throughout his long recovery, thinking of Kelly and wishing he still had his stolen phone so he could contact her, were what got him through the tough days—that, and his bull-headed stubbornness that he’d not only walk again, he’d ride.
When Kelly returns to Last Stand, Texas, in a last-ditch effort to keep her family from selling the Three Sisters Ranch, she has a plan to make her father proud of her again by turning part of the land into a portrait studio location. Her father, however, has already temporary leased Trent some land for a rodeo school. Kelly and Trent still have the same explosive chemistry, but now the stakes are higher. If she lets Trent into her life, it won’t only be her heart he breaks this time if he leaves, it will be their daughter’s.

It was a page turner and an amazing story line!
Kelly Sullivan was a wedding planner and photographer, she was also the mother of a five year old little girl, Allisa. Even though they lived in the city, the ranch in Last Stand, Texas where she grew up, was still part of her. She receives a message from her dad indicating she should come home, they are selling the ranch. She didn’t have a good relationship with her parents after she was kicked out while she was pregnant for refusing to say who the father was.she had an idea to start a photography studio out of the ranch but something was holding her back. Trent was her daughter’s father but he never stepped up to acknowledge her. Despite her reservations she decides to go to the Three Sisters Ranch.
This is a fantastic love story filled with emotions and great characters, the author weaves a great tale of two people who were kept apart by misunderstandings and interferences by others. The storyline is filled with romance, love, uncertainty and some unexpected surprises, I like how the sisters worked together and how the characters grew through their experiences. The narration was great. It is an emotional rollercoaster as they struggle to do what is right. It is a contemporary cowboy type romance that is definitely worth a read.

Trent is back in town mostly recovered from his accident and he runs into Kelly. Who could have thought the sparks were still sizzling? Can she admit the truth? The storyline had ups and downs and twists and turns that keep you hooked and waiting wanting more. The characters bring life and emotions along with passion and determination. Great story!

Loved it, looking forward to the rest of the sisters’ stories
Kelly has kept her secret for five years. When she got pregnant, her father threw her out. She wouldn’t tell anyone who her daughter’s father was. She’s managed to make a life for the two of them as a photographer in New York. When she gets a cryptic message from her father, she thinks it’s time to go home again.
Rodeo star Trent has had the rug pulled out from under him. Or more accurately the bull dropped on him. He’s spent years trying to recover from that fateful ride and now he’s opening his own bull riding school in his hometown. What he doesn’t know is that the girl he had one night with and can’t forget, has a surprise waiting for him. How will he react to the lasting effects of one fateful night?
BE STILL MY HEART!!!
Man, little gem can have you on your knees crying like and standing strong the next. The twists and turns, ups and downs, it captivates from the start. Throw in all the drama, angst and suspense along with heartache and uncertainty you have yourself one heartaching ride. Jamie did a remarkable job bringing this read together beautifully. You have a fast paced, action packed, smooth flowing, page turning bombshell that grabs your attention and holds it till the last word. The characters are genuine and realistic with depth and personalities with just enough flaws to relate with them. Their personalities are unique with qualities and traits that balance out perfectly. The chemistry between the two main characters white hot, off the charts explosive. The scenes are so graphic and descriptive it paints a fantastic backdrop that really makes the storyline pop. Thanks Jamie for sharing this awesome read with us.
I felt bad for the way Kelly’s family treated her when she needed them. I loved that when Trent found out what had happened with Alissa and any other children he was quick to try and fix it. Trent’s dedication to keep Kelly and Alissa was all in and they deserved their happy ending.

This is the first book I’ve read by Jamie K. Schmidt, but it will not be the last! The Cowboy’s Daughter is the first in this series by Jamie K. Schmidt.
This book holds you from the first to the last page. This was a fast paced, thrilling, sexy romance that was filled with drama and misunderstandings. The book is well written and a strong ending.
The characters are well defined. Trent Campbell is a good father who takes his responsibilities seriously, not like Mr Sullivan. Kelly Sullivan returns to The Three Sisters Ranch in order to help her sisters to save the property.

This new series and after reading this one should be interesting.
We have three sisters who had left home and now when their father need to sell family struggling farm.
They are determined to keep the ranch .
This book is about Kelly Sullivan .
Her father threw her out because she was pregnant and didn’t reveal the child’s father.
Trent was bullfighter ,he suffered a serious injury, lost any information about her as his phone was destroyed during this accident. He never forget her but he didn’t know that he was the father.
Life’s twits and turns brings them together again. Will they use this chance to be happy together?

I adore this type of book and this story is a beautiful example of a heart-felt one with everyday people. Trent is a bull-rider and Kelly is a photographer. Kelly and Trent shared one night together after a rodeo in their hometown. They would call and text each other and slowly those decreased with two busy schedules. Unfortunately Trent’s phone was stolen so when Kelly discovered she was pregnant, she had to call his manager, Billy. Billy, being a diligent manager, effectively held the buckle bunnies (and Kelly) away from Trent. The coming together of these two people had it turbulence but it was a joy to read.
I adored 5 year old Alissa. She was just a lovable girl. I look forward to more wonderful stories about the other two sisters from the Three Sisters Ranch and their journeys to a HEA.
What a great beginning to a series.
3.5 stars.
This was lovely.
Here we have Kelly and Trent. They had a one-night-stand years ago, and after she got pregnant and tried unsuccessfully to tell Trent, they tried to move on with their lives. The repercussions of this were very hard, particularly to Kelly. 🙁
I loved Kelly very much, she was a total kickass in her life and how she moved on. I hated the treatment she got from her father, even her mother; but it was great she worked to let that behind.
As for Trent, man he had it rough in his job. He was passionate about bull riding, so it was heartbreaking seeing him have to let go of that. I was glad he found a way to turn things around for him and continue his passion but in a different way.
These two together were hot as hell, lol. Man, they needed to be together. And after finding out he had a daughter, I loved Trent’s way of stepping up.
There were ups and downs for these two, and I was happy they were able to overcome them. Lovely read with a little bit of everything here.
Looking forward to reading more in the series.
*Thank you to the author for providing a copy for which I’m giving my honest opinion*
Yeah I held my breath through this one. As humans we do stupid stuff, but parents can be down right **** . I loved how Kelly and Trent overcame their pasts, still doing stupid scary stuff. Don’t miss this story.

This is the first book I have read by Jamie K. Schmidt and it will not be my last. I loved the story and the characters. There was a lot of intrigue and wondering how the story was going to end. I am so glad there is a second book coming out in this series.
Kelly Sullivan is such a strong willed character who just wants her father’s love and approval. She was devastated five years ago when her father threw her out because she was pregnant and would not tell him who the father was. She has now returned to Texas with her cute daughter, Alissa to help her father’s ranch from having to be sold. Her two sisters also return to help the ranch.
Kelly then finds out Alissa’s father, Trent Campbell, a bull rider, has leased land from her father to start a bull riding school after he was injured by a bull and can no longer bull ride. He does not know Alissa is his daughter.
Once Kelly gets over her anger towards Trent that has been brewing for over five years there are several steamy scenes between them. She thought Trent had rejected her and her child but Trent never knew Kelly was pregnant. This bothers Trent because he never knew who his dad was.
You will have to read the book to find out how Kelly’s father reacts to Trent being the father of his granddaughter. Trent has always been a bull riding idol to Kelly’s dad, Frank Sullivan. I was surprised by the ending but I really liked it. I received an advance copy of this book and I willingly chose to write an honest review.
Trent is a bull rider, loving his career and also the women. Kelly is one of Trent’s one nighters, but neither have forgotten the other. Kelly become pregnant, but unable to contact Trent. Her father kicks her out and she goes to New York. Trent is injured by a bull and his career is over. Kelly is called home and runs into Trent. They still have chemistry. Can she tell Trent he is a father? Will he break her heart again? Will he break their daughters heart? What will Trent do if he finds out? Will Trent’s new business take off?

This is a great read second chance read. Some drama, some laughs, some annoyance but hey that’s life. Sometimes, I just love to read about everyday people who seem to have real, normal problems to get through. There was a tiny bit of an unanswered ending but I think that will come in the sisters’ stories. Overall, it was an enjoyable read and I’d pick up another by this author.

I love reading about cowboys! This is an enthralling enjoyable read! There is so much to look forward to – family, family drama, witty banter, humour, and a second chance. It is well written and relatable; the plot is well-developed and consistent, the ideas are well-thought-out and there is a great pace from scene to scene. Trent and Kelly are great together – they are strong and deep; their chemistry is potent and undeniable. This story will tug your heart strings, will make you happy, and will captivate and hold your interest until the end. It is a story you will enjoy reading.

I could not put this book down it was an awesome awesome story
In this second chance romance we find Kelly raising her daughter as a single mom and Trent finally getting back to living his life in spite of his injuries. He doesn’t know he fathered a child. She thinks he just wasn’t interested. When they meet again the attraction is still there but they both have baggage. These characters are well written and believable. This book is a great afternoon read.
