Jonah Grant wants to make his own mark on the world. As a horse breeder starting his business from scratch, he hasn’t had the easiest road. But he might have finally caught a break in the form of two beautiful studs for sale that would be perfect for his stock. The problem is Jonah doesn’t have the funds, or any means of getting them—until an old friend shows up with a proposition. Virginia … proposition.
Virginia Leeland wants to build something of her own. The daughter of a traditional family, she refuses to stand behind a husband…she wants to stand on her own two feet. Still, she’ll take advantage of the money bequeathed to her by her grandmother and use it to buy Jonah’s beautiful old barn to host weddings in. The funds, however, are only available upon her marriage, so it’s a good thing she’s engaged.
But when Virginia catches her no-good, cheating fiancé, well, cheating on her, the marriage plans dry up, along with the funds for her business, and Jonah’s plans for expansion. The situation seems hopeless. That is, until Virginia has a champagne-fueled epiphany: she and Jonah can marry. In name only, of course.
But when their agreement becomes more than simply a marriage by name, their passion creates all types of entanglements: the enjoyable kind, as well as the more permanent sort. In the end, Virginia and Jonah will need to decide if they still only care about their business goals…or if the chance at love is what will really make their dreams come true.

Jonah and Virginia knew each other as children, so when Virginia proposed marriage and a business, he had no problem with that. The story is interesting and attention holding with memorable characters. Jonah had to learn how not to be solitary all of the time in an effort to find the HEA.

Wow! This book will tug at your heartstrings so you’d better read it with a box of tissues by your side.
If you like your cowboys sure-footed and a little rough around the edges, and you like women who are smart even if a little lacking in self-confidence… you’ll going to love this story. Jonah and Virginia manage to flub things up a time or two but in the end, tears of happiness will run down your face.

Jonah and Virginia’s relationship is based on business…his and hers. The time they spend together make a success of Virginia’s wedding venue brings them closer and more intimate. Their relationship builds slowly with obvious respect and affection until the personal and business lines are blurred and expectations change. This is a tender story that you feel their hurt, their confusion, their realizations and their love. A book for all romantics out there.

This book was great. I love my TEXAS and its cowboys. This book is about Virginia and Jonah; she is engaged to be married and knows that she will inherit money for her new wedding business, but ends up catching her fiancée cheating with one of his workers. Jonah on the other hand is doing okay but wants to expand his ranch with a couple of new studs, but needs the money for it. Virginia wants to buy a piece of his property to start her business, so this is something Jonah is considering until she lets him know that she is no longer getting the money because she has called off the wedding.
This story is too cute as Jonah was smitten with Virginia since she was five years old and remembers her always wanting to play wedding in the same barn that she wants to own. She proposes they get married, fake it for a while in order for both of them to gain the inherited money. He agrees and the attraction begins. Now both Jonah and Ian have found their girl and are growing their family, it is now Nate’s turn, which is their younger brother. I cannot wait to hear how someone ties him down as he is consider the wild child.

The cowboy makes a deal.
Jonah Grant is busy trying to build his horse ranch but lacks funds.
Virginia is a city girl, engaged and makes him an offer, a deal. She gives him the means to buy his ponies and she turns the house into a b&b.
However, the deal changes after she catches her finance cheating on her and one champagne bottle later…
Virginia and Jonah enter into a sham marriage that’s turning all too real.

The Cowboy’s Contract Marriage by Leslie North. I enjoyed this story; it moved at a fast pace, but it was easy to follow along with. Not a lot of damaging drama, just enough to make things interesting. I enjoyed the author’s attention to detail and dual POV story telling.

I love a story of childhood friends turned lovers with their happily ever after. Jonah and Victoria knee each from childhood but it’s been ages since they’ve seen each other. Both needing each other’s help for their respective businesses turns into a contract marriage. Of course, that doesn’t last as their attraction grows and so does their love. I loved reading their story and also seeing Ian and Katie. Can’t wait for Nate’s story.

I really enjoyed this fun and emotional read about two people that want to be more than who they are expected to be. The story line was fun and engaging, the characters likable and the chemistry strong. With heat, heart and a lot of sweetness, this is a very entertaining and enjoyable read.
