Jonah Grant wants to make his own mark on the world. As a horse breeder starting his business from scratch, he hasn’t had the easiest road. But he might have finally caught a break in the form of two beautiful studs for sale that would be perfect for his stock. The problem is Jonah doesn’t have the funds, or any means of getting them—until an old friend shows up with a proposition. Virginia … proposition.
Virginia Leeland wants to build something of her own. The daughter of a traditional family, she refuses to stand behind a husband…she wants to stand on her own two feet. Still, she’ll take advantage of the money bequeathed to her by her grandmother and use it to buy Jonah’s beautiful old barn to host weddings in. The funds, however, are only available upon her marriage, so it’s a good thing she’s engaged.
But when Virginia catches her no-good, cheating fiancé, well, cheating on her, the marriage plans dry up, along with the funds for her business, and Jonah’s plans for expansion. The situation seems hopeless. That is, until Virginia has a champagne-fueled epiphany: she and Jonah can marry. In name only, of course.
But when their agreement becomes more than simply a marriage by name, their passion creates all types of entanglements: the enjoyable kind, as well as the more permanent sort. In the end, Virginia and Jonah will need to decide if they still only care about their business goals…or if the chance at love is what will really make their dreams come true.

This is amusing, romantic and sweet. Johan is charming, generous, cheeky and stubborn. Virginia is determined, tough and caring. They played together when they were children, a lot of the time in an old barn, with Virginia playing bride. She always tried to get Jonah to be her groom, but he never would. She always wanted to have a wedding business, so when she was set to get an inheritance after she got married, she went to Jonah about buying the old barn to turn into her wedding venue business. Jonah agreed because he needed money to get two horses he wanted. When she called off her wedding to her fiancé, she went and asked Jonah if he would marry her, temporarily, so she could get the money, he agreed, he had already put a deposit on the horses. Everything was good at the start, she did her thing and he did his, until she needed his help. They ended up spending a lot of time together, and both became used to having the other around. One thing led to another so when it was time for their marriage to end, neither wanted it to, but neither had the guts to say anything. It’s a wonderful, entertaining story.

The Cowboy’s Contract Marriage was a delightful story it was entertaining and fun with some really well written characters. Leslie North has written a wonderful cowboy and city girl romance. Jonah Grant is trying to get his breeding business up and running, one little problem not enough money, then Virginia Leland steps in with an offer she hope Jonah won’t be able to turn down. Jonah has a horse breeding ranch. He wants to buy two studs but doesn’t have the money. Virginia want to buy an old barn on Jonah’s property that he doesn’t use so she can have weddings in it. Virginia needs to get married to get her inheritance from her grandmother. She catches her fiance cheating so she offers Jonah a deal for a fake marriage so they both can get what they want. I loved this book.
A convenient plan leads to an inconvenient heartache. Can Jonah and Virginia stop the damage before It’s too late? From friends to lovers spells TROUBLE. The Cowboy’s Contract Marriage is deliciously unpredictable in the most obvious of ways. North turns up the seduction with a heartache and a smile. A temptation not to be missed.
Both Jonah and Virginia have a dream of a successful business, he a horse breeder and she host weddings this leads to an unconventional agreement as he has the barn she wants and he needs the funds for new horses. Having grown up together they know each other so trust is covered what neither was banking on was that they have always been attracted to each other but never acted on it and now while pretending to be married so Virginia can access the money they both need. There is plenty of laughs, cringe worthy moments, steamy scenes and the wish that they get past their own issues and see what is right in front of them which will have you turning the pages to see what happens.

I really enjoyed the progression of the relationship between Jonah and Virginia, from the proposition from Virginia to the happily ever after. I liked that Jonah was willing to help Virginia. I am also glad that Jonah worked to get Virginia back after he pushed her away.

Virginia approaches Jonah about a possible money opportunity for them both. Can love bloom from a marriage of convenience?
Leslie North is a top ten author for me and her stories are always an enjoyable read. Virginia and Jonah have a marriage of convenience so Virginia can get her grandmother’s inheritance to start her own wedding business in Jonah’s barn. While Jonah gets to buy his coveted studs. But what starts out with fine lines drawn is quickly muddled along the way. Will their marriage of convenience bring something more to the table? You have to read to find out and will not put the book down until you finish it!
This is a sweet story. The characters enter into a marriage of convenience and there’s chemistry from the beginning. These two love birds have what it takes to make it, but can they get there without a hitch. I really enjoyed this book.

Achieving their dreams!
by sewsummore
Virginia was engaged to be married and planning her future business as a Wedding Planner. This all came to an abrupt end when she catches her fiance cheating on her. Not only had she lost her love she had lost her future business unless she could find a new groom to marry, as the funds to do so would only be available after her marriage. Jonah was a longer, no longer prepared to trust others to do the right thing, When the cash he was expecting to obtain by hiring out his heritage barn to Virginia could no longer eventuate, his dreams of expansion fell through as well. Unless they married each other and that was what they did. It was a marriage of convenience for both of them but it turned out to be so much more. I loved this story for the romance and dedication that the two main characters displayed. They helped each other to achieve their dreams and in doing so gained not only a business partner but also a life partner and children.

Loved this emotionally thrilling, action packed and engaging adventure filled with some extremely fun twists and exciting turns…. the plan is simple but where is the fun in simple … loved the undeniable passion that ignites between them and makes thing far from simple. Great read.
Jonah and Virginia know each other since they were toddlers, but life got in the way and now Virginia is planning to persuade Jonah to marry her so that she can get hold of an inheritance from her grandmother, to start her own company – on Jonah’s land. To compensate him she promises him enough money to buy two studs he wants for breeding. Agreeing to this crazy scheme changes Jonah’s world completely.
Funny, quite entertaining it is a nice story to while the day away with a book instead of a movie. Good entertainment.

A really good read! It is a well written story that pulled me in from the first page. The characters are likeable and interesting – what started out as a business arrangement between Jonah and Virginia, resulted in an amazing journey of sizzling chemistry between them and a HEA. There are some ups and downs the couple had to navigate and this made for a really enjoyable and exciting read. Definitely recommended!

Jonah is trying to work on expanding his horse training business but the funds he needs may be hard to get. Virginia is a city girl and will be coming in to some money from her grandmother’s will which will help her get her wedding planning business off the ground and she wants Jonah’s barn for wedding venues. Jonah could definitely use the money to expand his business. The money comes with the requirement she needs to be married. Well she’s engaged so no problem on that requirement until her finance cheats on her, there go the wedding plans. There goes Jonah’s dream of expanding his business and Virginia’s dream of owning the barn and having her own wedding business. Are their dreams really gone or can these 2 come up with a plan where they both win?

He didn’t know what to expect when she asked him. She was just as scared. They did not plan well for their marriage. Their expectations were not clear from the beginning. I’m surprised it worked with their single mindset.

Yep nothing better than a determined cowboy to make his way in the world on his own and the story of him succeeding in business and pleasure. This is a great story that begins as a business deal between Jonah and Virginia. Jonah wants to be a horse breeder and is looking to buy two prized studs to further his business goals. Virginia wants to buy Jonah’s old barn to host weddings etc in to further her business goals. This all seems well and good on paper however we have a couple hitches of course that just get the story going. You see, Virginia needs to get married to get the funds from her grandmother to buy the barn and she just caught her fiancee cheating on her. Dang it, now she needs to find a new fiancee, she wants the monies but not bad enough to marry the cheater. So, as a business arrangement so that everyone gets what they want – Jonah and Virginia agree that a marriage between the two of them as a business arrangement should work out just fine. But what happens when feelings get involved? Lines are crossed? Do Jonah and Virginia dissolve the marriage or make do they amend the arrangement?
