Their first meeting should have been an enchanting moment. A moment that would always spark fond memories. So why was it ordinary?
Chance Thackston is making his way on the rodeo circuit. He’s a well known citizen of Sagebrush, Texas and he makes the most of it when necessary. Chance might be at a crossroad in his life, but he can still turn on his charm… especially when he encounters a pretty … a pretty woman.
Kate Benson is a successful event planner. Her Washington DC business has become all the rage in the hot social scene of politics and power. A special project brings her to Sagebrush, but her initial arrival is far from the easy less complicated affair she’d expected.
Meeting Chance starts to alter the course of her journey, and she quickly finds herself drawn to him. They come from different worlds, but there’s something about him that makes her feel comfortable when she shouldn’t. As he seems to reciprocate these feelings, Kate’s true identity threatens to pull them apart before they get a chance to see what might be. Chance is sure he’s been played and can’t believe he fell into such an obvious trap.
Once the secrets are out, their differences seem more pronounced than ever. Is there a remote possibility that Chance and Kate can actually talk things out? Is there something they’re missing that can help them reconnect and pick up the relationship that was budding?

This was a very enjoyable and entertaining read. Chance Thatcher was a bull riding champion Who enjoyed the fame, the women who wanted to be on a champions arm, that is until his twin brother Chase, took the championship away from him. Now he feels unsettled and not sure what to do with his life. Kate Mills show up in Sagebrush TX to plan an event for her client from DC. When she and Chance first meet, she is rude. He could tell she was a snobbish city girl, but being the gentleman that he is, he does help her with her hotel reservation and take her to dinner. The attraction is there, but soon things turn upside down and Chance feels like she used him when he discovers that the event she is landing is his brother Logan and Frankies wedding and Frankie is not happy to see her! Good storyline and wonderful characters.

Second book in the series.
Chase is at a crossroads in his life. Kate is in town for a job. First impressions … Chase thinks Kate is condescending and arrogant; Kate thinks Chase is a dirty, unsophisticated cowboy. But as they spend more time with each other, they start to bring out the good qualities in each other. When there’s a misunderstanding and Chase feels used, will he be able to calm down enough to listen to Kate? And will Kate be able to stand up for herself when she doesn’t agree with her rich, influential clients? What will it mean for Kate’s career? And for Chase and Kate’s relationship?
I didn’t really connect with the characters. I did enjoy the feel of the town/ranch.
I received a copy of this book in exchange for my honest opinion.
This is a really sweet romance you do not want to miss out on. I was captivated from the very first page till the very end. The plot was interesting and the story flowed nicely. Despite everything I’m so glad Kate and Chance get their shot at a happy ending, they sure deserved it! This was a beautifully written story about redemption and forgiveness filled with emotion and depth, but there were also some funny moments along the way which made for a very fun read! I enjoyed this book and highly recommend it!

The Cowboy’s City Girl is a sweet romance. I like it when characters redeem themselves and these two did. The story flows nicely and I enjoyed the premise. Fun read.
I received an ARC and have chosen to give my honest opinion.
The second book in the Thatcher Brothers series a well written story that kept me turning pages. Cowboy Chance Thatcher and party planner Kate Benson’s story, but it is also more about Logan Thatcher, and Frances Mills a young couple in love. I want to read the next book. I volunteered to read this ARC for an honest review. I really enjoyed the story about Chance and Kate. Chance is a rodeo cowboy who also works on his family’s ranch. He recently lost the championship to his twin brother Chase, but that’s not what got him down. He’s not sure what is special about his life. Kate is an event planner from DC sent to see what Sagebrush has to offer for her clients. Kate and Chance meet when her briefcase dumps on the street any offers to help but she refuses. Later when he comes back through she’s still struggling any offers to help. He even offered to take her to dinner or they hit it off. Unfortunately when he takes her to family ranch the next day the connection between his future sister-in-law Frankie and Kate become apparent. This causes the ruckus for everyone. But after fighting for what’s right, Kate and Chance get the opportunity to try for a HEA.

Chance Thatcher didn’t come off as great brother the way he goaded Logan to ride a dangerous horse that threw him and he was a sore loser when his twin brother Chase scored better than him at the rodeo. Event planner Kate Benson came off as condescending and self-centered in the beginning. They both change for the better and redeem themselves working to make Logan and Frankie’s wedding the special day they want, but I had trouble connecting with these characters. It was a clean romance with several funny and sweet moments.
Chance is having a hard time when his twin brother takes over the number one spot from him on the rodeo. When he goes to town and meets Kate he is attracted to the feisty beautiful woman. Kate is there to look at a possible wedding destination for a very wealthy family from Washington DC where she is from but as she spends time with the handsome cowboy Chance she really likes him and the small town. There are some twists and turns in this story that leaves you guessing about what will happen next.
Bad communication, misunderstanding
I enjoyed Kate and Chance’s story first impressions were not so great, but they ended up after a whole lot of dumb stuff gets it together. Talk about real life I have a friend who’s relationship is a lot these two bad communication, misunderstanding and like in this story you can just see the trouble coming a mile away. I think that it what I like best about the story and look forward to more books by April Murdock. I did receive a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.
