Meredith and Jace need something from each other and the best way to do that is get married within minutes of meeting each other. The only reassures are from mutual friend Sabrina that every thing will work out for the best.
The Wyoming ranch, Jace’s home, is a beautiful backdrop to this tender relationship. The writing draws you in to the surrounding area and life on the ranch to truly feel it’s healing powers. Never having been to this part of the country, I could feel the authenticity as I read about Meredith’s eagerness to learn how to live outside the city. It’s peacefulness and relaxation through hard work. It gives her purpose. Jace’s reaction to Meredith’s adjustment to ranch life is surprisingly hopeful. Do they are dare believe their marriage will last beyond the timeframe they have allowed?
This story has the feel of a grand epic romance that you long for the hero and heroine to find their happily ever after. It does not disappoint.
I loved this story! It has all the elements I love: a tortured heroine, a solid but incomplete hero, a villian who learns from his mistakes, and a wonderfull family and community. The romance and sexual tention were belivable and perfect for the characters. I loved the epilogue, too. An all around terrific read.
I love stories like this! You may not feel it the first time you see someone. But fairly quickly you just know. It’s just getting through the get to know you part that is the hard part. Wonderful read!
