Having a father is a big responsibility. And finding him a wife is a challenge eight-year-old Becky Jones takes seriously. Ex-rodeo cowboy Taggart Jones is adamant. No marriage. Been there. Done that. Not even if Becky’s dream candidate is her beautiful, blonde teacher, Felicity Albright, who knows about barrettes, patching up scrapes, and hates carrots as much as his daughter. Taggart’s still not … daughter. Taggart’s still not interested. Much.
What’s a daughter to do? Becky’s nothing if not ingenious, and she’s determined to convince a stubborn Taggart and a bemused Felicity that they really have met their match.

Typical story of city girl in western town, lo and behold a rancher shows up and love match never comes easy. This story threw in a clever child (his). Easy to read and entertaining.
Kind of simplistic
Cute and funny
Loved the antics of Taggert’s daughter to get her divorced father to marry her school teacher. Learning about the intricacies of bull “riding” was interesting. Definitely entertaining!
Nice happy book
It was light and entertaining . I enjoyed the way it showed a man could be a good dad
Cute kid, a little mature for a six year old
I found The Cowboy and the Kid worthy of reading.
It is a good, clean romantic book. Not dirty or even close. Just a nice book for a quick read.
I like romances with kids. This was sweet.
Enjoyable
A very good writer. Her portrayal of the characters as they fell in love was very smooth even though there were bumps along the way. I liked the little bits of humor, and also the bits I about teaching and bull riding. I’ll put this author on my always buy list.
Great book for a fun light hearted read
A nice little getaway story.
A delight! Highly recommend!
I really enjoyed this heartwarming story. It was funny and warm hearted with a romance thrown in the mix
A great book
I stopped reading because it was too vulgar.
Sweet story. Easy pleasant read
