Dylan Gallagher loves playing the field. The only serious relationship he’s ever had was with his horses and his ranch, and he had no intention of ever changing that… Until he met Dr. Samantha Striker, a challenge too tempting to resist. Samantha Striker doesn’t fall easily, not even for Dylan and his heart-melting charm. But she can’t deny that the more time they spend together, the steamier … steamier their relationship becomes. Soon, she finds that their relationship is more than just simple desire.
When Samantha is threatened by a series of incidents, each one more terrifying than the last, she realizes that someone doesn’t want her to be happy–with Dylan or anyone else. Can they find the man responsible before his actions turn from dangerous to deadly, and Dylan loses the woman he’s discovering he can’t live without?
Praise for The Cowboy and the Doctor
“Sam and Dylan’s story is heart-felt and fast-paced… the couple’s love of animals, their backstories, and the drama of Sam’s troubles will keep readers engaged. The cliff-hanger ending will leave readers excited for the next installation.” – Library Journal

11/14/2020 I liked “The Cowboy and the Doctor” (nook) where, upon meeting, Dylan and Samantha were attracted to each other. Their love grew quickly and they supported each other when problems arose. Trouble and Shadow were a charming addition to the story.
I felt that the timeline went too fast because weeks passed between scenes.
Also, I would have liked to hear more about Clay, the ranch hand who was diagnosed with cancer.
Fabulous with a HEA. Perfect.
Fun characters and a fun story!
4 stars . A bit predictable but still a good read.
Enjoyed this book. Easy to follow plot and characters.
It was an enjoyable book and kept you wanting to read more.
Great easy read for a trip
Wonderful story and really held my interest…..good job.
Lovely story
Some suspense and love conquers all make for a good read.
THE COWBOY AND THE DOCTOR is a standalone read with a happy ever after. There are some mild sex scenes and I don’t remember any colorful language and if it had any they would be mild. The setting is Marietta, Montana. A big ranch where Dylan raises and breeds horses. The Fjord from Norway is his biggest breed. One of his new stallions kicks a ranch hand and seriously injuries him. While in surgery Dr. Sam discovers a cancerous tumor and removes it. He will require chemo treatments after recovering from his kicking injuries. He is family so they will take care of him and give him good support.
Dr. Sam is an ER surgeon. She practiced in Dallas at a big hospital there but left about a year ago and came to Marietta. She knows all about the infamous Dylan. All the ladies know and love Dylan. Seems he always leaves them smiling. She is very attracted to him but she has no intention of becoming one of his little pack of exes. However, one should never say never.
There is a bad guy in this story. One from her past is trying to kill her. Of course he is a nut job. Even the animals on the farm know he is evil. The horses and the dogs play a big part in this story. If you love animals, you will enjoy this story. I found it to be entertaining as well as informative. I definitely recommend it.
I was not paid for this review. I am not a writer nor do I know one. I am not kin to this author. I am a reader and this is my opinion, nothing more, nothing less. 6/12/2020
A great story with wonderful characters! I enjoyed this quick relaxing read.
Great
Dylan was the last of the boys, all of his brother’s have gotten married and are starting families. He has never thought about it until he meets Samantha. She is a trans surgeon. But something clicks with them.
These two fell for each other almost immediately after she admitted that her “boyfriend” was fake. What really sealed the deal was that Sam and her dog became fast friends with Trouble, the abused stallion. Unfortunately, bad things start happening to her. You get drawn in to the very end. It was a good read.
A new author to me and I look forward to reading more of her wodk!
But ends in a cliffhanger!!!
The characters interaction with their animals is really heartwarming. Enjoyed the book.
I enjoyed the characters and the story line, but there wasn’t enough detail in the end to give a full conclusion to the story. Should have included an epilogue.
Sweet
Romantic , suspenseful
