A fast paced thriller without profanity and sex. Pure action and well-delivered.
Perfect for fans of clean action and adventure.
An edge-of-the-seat action-packed thriller.
Fast paced action from Istanbul to Syria for the duo of correctors from the Canadian Intelligence Service, Javin and Claudia, who find themselves in the midst of gun battles and treachery as they try to retrieve a politically explosive flash drive.
Thoroughly enjoyed these new characters and series from the talented pen of Ethan Jones. I made a definite tactical error in opening this seconds after midnight when it appeared in my kindle library – impossible to close it and go to sleep once I’d started to read it, it’s adrenaline laced from beginning to end.
I really should know better by now. Until next time.
The Corrector – a review by Rosemary Kenny
Don’t get in a Corrector’s way – he (or she) will make sure you’re eliminated, as a problem to be disposed of without a second’s thought – after all, that’s what their job for Canada’s government group, the CIS is for – as we learn in Ethan Jones’s The Corrector.
Introducing super-spy Javin Pierce, Canada’s answer to James Bond, in the series opener of the series of the same name. He promises to be even more fascinating, stirring, sexy and oh so fit, than Bond, Bourne or Ethan Hunt, as he and his female sidekick race across the globe, on a mission to recover a purloined USB, that could put many others’ lives on the line, as well as their own.
Guaranteed to make you forget all about the Covid-19 nightmare, as your biggest worry will be whether you can un-dig your fingernails from the arms of your chair, where you’ve dug them in your excitement, before the intrepid duo can make it back to HQ with their impossible mission fully accomplished.
You should definitely get your copy of The Corrector, by the great Ethan Jones, as soon as possible…this review will self-destruct any time soon…oh, sorry no it won’t, but don’t wait anyway…go, get it NOW!
The best feature of this type of espionage thriller is that is does not provide too much unnecessary background to set up the story. It starts with a straightforward, simple plot and goes right into the action. It does this so quickly and efficiently, that you don’t want to put the book down because of the fast pace. It almost leaves you breathless. The characters, internal thoughts, and dialogue are sparse and believable. One factor that makes this believable is that there is no unrealistic conversations, such as witty banter about mundane things while minutes away from facing a dangerous or serious situation.
An awesome, fast paced, action packed spy thriller with well developed characters and an intense storyline that had my Fitbit going crazy with extremely elevated hart through most of the book and one hell of a way to start a new series.
The adventure the Author takes us on with Javin Pierce and Claudia Aquarone is intense and constant at every turn that kept me on the edge of my seat from the first page. Loved that Javin came clean to Claudia about his doubts
While I haven’t read all of Ethan Jones books, I sure have enjoyed the ones I’ve read and The Corrector is no exception and well worth the read.
Thank you Mr Jones for another intriguing and exciting book and looking forward to the next thrilling adventure with Javin Pierce and Claudia Aquarone.
Good all around book with enough action to keep you interested
Explosive, electrifying, non-stop action which takes
off quickly keeping an invigorating pace up to and
including it’s dramatic conclusion. This keeps the
reader on the edge of the seat throughout the
entire book!!
The intriguing action and adventure is anything
but predictable especially in the world of espionage.
The Canadian Intelligence Secret Service sends us
along with well fleshed, well defined characters into
situations of devious planning, fear, betrayal and courage.
The Correctors are agents that carry out missions that
others have failed. They are able to get in, accomplish
their task then disappear without anyone ever realizing
they were there. Not an easy, safe job?
Javin Pierce and Claudia Aquarone are two CIS agents
whose mission is to retrieve a highly sensitive USB flash
drive. But they are not the only ones after this drive.
Once you start reading, you will want to read to the final
word.
A Highly Recommended Read!!!
Great spy thriller. A Corrector is supposed to quietly fix clandestine ops that other operators foul up. Javin Pierce fixes things but not very quietly! Everything goes sideways — multiple times. Can’t a guy EVER catch a break?!
