Good story and engaging characters. Kept me interested. Steamy too.
Good book. Sexy time parts might be a little graphic for some. I enjoyed losing myself in the storyline.
Liked the characters, the storyline, and how it all was connected. would look for more from this author.
Filled with suspense, love, surprises and hot……
Loved it! Will read more from this author.
Very good!
I’m reading the entire series!
Loved it. Steamy at times, scary at times.
I loved this book! It was very hard to put down. Read the next in the series also.
My good friend has been telling me to read this series and I am so happy I finally found the time. Being sick with the flu left me lots of reading time.
First read of Devney Perry- honestly I think she is a terrific writer and reminds me of Kristen Ashley. Alpha male- very alpha, bit of mystery and strong women.
Loved Gigi and Jess’ story Amazing
I really enjoyed this book. This is the first one I have read of Devney’s and I am a new fan! Jess was a pretty big jerk at the beginning but when he pulled his head out of his behind he was hard not to love. It dragged a bit in places but by the end it completely blew me away. It was a little predictable but when you thought you had it, it would turn in another direction.
THE COPPERSMITH FARMHOUSE was my first Devney Perry read and I immediately fell for her writing style. It did take me a while to warm up to Jess though. He was a bit too “it’s my way or no way” for me but my heart couldn’t help but melt at the way he treats Gigi and Rowan. While the overall focus of the story is on Gigi’s budding relationship with Jess, I liked how the underlying events taking place throughout came together for an explosive ending. I’m very much looking forward to reading the rest of the series.
The Coppersmith Farmhouse is a sweet and sexy romance with a smidgen of suspense thrown in. Gigi moves herself and her young daughter from Washington to a small town she’s never heard of in Montana. They move into a farmhouse thanks to someone special to her. She has a run in with the town sheriff, Jess, and her world as she knew it changes.
This book was a joy to get lost in. Gigi is strong, independent, intelligent, witty and insecure and a wonderful mother to Rowen. Jess is also strong, independent, intelligent but is also hot headed and cocky. I love when he’s sweet on Gigi and the scenes he shares with Rowen are swoon worthy.
The ending is action packed and a bit scary which makes for an even faster read. Great book! I’m looking forward to book 2.
This was a beautiful story and I am blown away by the talented woman who produced such an amazing first book. This had it all. A lonely man scarred by the world he grew up in, falling hard for the woman who just moved in to the house he has spent years taking care of. Lucky him she had a beautiful daughter he can’t help but adore. If the woman was easy to tame as the daughter his life would be perfect. But you always have to work for the things that are worth having and he is more than willing to put in the time. Being the Sheriff though is taking a lot out of him and things in their sleepy little town are really heating up. Can he win her over and keep her safe at the same time? Definitely read this one for the answer! It’s so worths a five star rating!
If there’s only one author who never let me down, that’d be Devney Perry. I’ve never read a Perry book I haven’t loved with my whole heart, and with The Coppersmith Farmhouse, she brought me everything I love about her books. She delivered such a strong and amazing love story with a touch of suspense that made me go in all the ways and I couldn’t put it down. I’m not always hooked on these romance novels, but I was a goner for this one right after the first chapter. I really loved the atmosphere Perry created. I always love me a good small-town romance and starting with this book, I’m getting a series of them! Whoop! I guess it means a big binge but whatever. I’m already missing Prescott, so I can’t wait to read the next book.
But back to this one. I loved these characters so much! I’ve fallen hard and fast for them and it should scare me, but I know my heart is in good hands.
Jess is just so effing dreamy! Even if he’s a jackass sometimes. He’s still a sweetie pie. #HotSheriff Gigi is like you and me. A heroine you can totally relate to. And the others – Maisy, Nick, Silas, Rowen, just to mention a few – were also all kind of amazing.
The Coppersmith Farmhouse is the perfect start to a perfect series.
Love books with small towns and farmhouses. Great book with great characters and hot romance! Book one in the Jaminson Valley Series.
I completely connected with Gigi her approach to life and family, and was excited to see where her knew adventure would take her. I took a while to warm up to Jess, but when I did I fell in love. I love small town romances and this book hit all the main points – fascinating characters, beautiful scenery, small town life. It was an easy, pleasurable read with parts that made me laugh and cry. I recommend this book and I can’t wait to delve into the rest of the series.
The Coppersmith Farmhouse is a good start to this series. Georgia (Gigi) is a single mom who’s inherited a godsend of a farmhouse in Montana. So she and her daughter, Rowen, move to take over the farmhouse their beloved Ben left them. Unfortunately, Sheriff Jesse isn’t very happy about the newcomers who inherited the farmhouse he thought would be his. So he’s a complete jackass to poor Georgia for her first weeks of residence in Prescott. Until he reads Ben’s letter to him and realizes that just maybe he had Georgia all wrong. How can he get her to forgive him? To give into the attraction he knows is mutual?
I really liked this story, mainly because Georgia and Rowen and most of the large cast of this story are awesome. I had problems with Jesse – he’s a bossy asshole for most of the story, he’s hardheaded and chauvinistic, but I have to admit that he and Gigi had great chemistry. Maisy caught my interest, too, can’t wait to read her story.
Quick Review: I’m so happy right now! I’m sure the rest of the series will be great! I loved Jess and Gigi and Roe, I loved the small town feeling, I loved the plot, I loved the climax!!! I’m ready for more!!! (Thank you for the recommendation, Kat!)
As a debut novel, this was top notch!! Had all the elements I just love, small town setting, feisty heroine, a sweet little girl, sexy sheriff and some danger mixed in.
Gigi and her little daughter Rowen needed a fresh start, so when she is gifted a farmhouse in small town Prescott, Montana it was a blessing. Then she meets the sheriff and it was not a good first impression. I liked that the misunderstanding was short lived and once it was cleared up, Sheriff Jess Cleary was all in. He was the ultimate possessive, protective swoony alpha that I love so much.
The banter between the two main characters was great! Loved the scene with the ticket for running on the wrong side of the road! The little bit of suspense kept me interested, but it’s the love story between Gigi, little Rowen and Jess is what made the book for me.
