Does everyone deserve a happy ending? Giselle Moore has been through a lot in her short life but things are looking up; her premier art showing in New York City is on the horizon, she has been reunited with her family and, most of all, she is deeply in love with the mysterious Frenchman she met on vacation in Mexico. There is only one thing that could derail her happiness and that is her guilt … that is her guilt over her forbidden relationship with Sinclair. After finally confessing their love for each other, the two decide to travel to Paris, France where they may begin to discover what it really means to be together.
When a terrible family accident beckons them back home, the return of sinister man from the past, crumbling business deals and a family that has turned against them tests their fledgling romance and the very idea that they could possibly live happily ever after.
The third and final book in The Evolution Of Sin Trilogy!
more
This is part three and end of The Evolution of Sin trilogy. I’m so sorry to see it end but look forward to reading the next duet by Giana, The Enslaved Duet and the story of Cósima, Giselle’s sister. Can’t wait to continue reading about this intriguing family!! mwah, Giana!!
Now that the secret is out and Elle has decided that she will go where her heart leads her, can she accept the consequences that come along with it? Will others be understanding of the wrongs no one wanted to commit? Can all be forgiven?
The Evolution of Sin Trilogy was eloquently written. Sometimes we can’t help what the heart wants. Sometimes we need to risk it all to follow our hearts. That’s what Elle and Sin finally succumb to, they follow their hearts because no matter how much we don’t want to hurt the other people in our lives, we need to go for it and make ourselves happy. I love how detailed this book was written. Gianna had a way of describing every scene beautifully from a stroll through Paris to the secrets of the underground BDSM world. I was captivated from the first page until the very last.
Wow – what a conclusion!
As we have been on this journey with Sinclair and Elle it has hit so many highs and lows. It started with a taboo that normally doesn’t interest me but the reactions, consequences and the way their story played out was so great I ended up really liking this trilogy. Their friends and family were true to their feelings and this couple had to allow it and decide if it was all worth it. It really made this story real. Life altering choices sometimes have such huge fallouts that we don’t go for what we want and these two did….and I’m so glad they did.
The conclusion of Sinclair and Giselle’s story was exactly like the other books: a heartbreaking but lovely roller coaster.
I know that a lot of people don’t like Elena but for me she’s the best character of the Lombardi world. She had to deal with a lot since her childhood and always felt like the one that her family didn’t care as much. This story break her heart and in the process, it broke mine. I love her and can’t wait to see her happy with everything that she deserves.
I’m really happy I decided to start reading Giana’s books and even if this story had some things that I had a “problem” with (specially the cheating trope) I really enjoyed her writing and the way she developed this story.
It was pretty obvious how Sinclair and Giselle were soulmates and one thing I loved in this book was how human and real it was; sometimes you fall in love with the right person at the wrong time and you have to think about not only your happiness but everyone else, and that dilemma was so present in this trilogy.
My binge read of this series has now come to an end .
The book opens with Elle and Sinclair going to Paris that ends up an extended stay, also known as them running away from problems. While in Paris, Elle and Sinclair became closer and I enjoyed reading about their relationship. This book also goes more into BDSM.
A family accident makes them return to the US where they have to face coming out as a couple and face Elle’s family.
I still hate Elena and felt some of her anger was damn right nasty. I get that she would have been hurting but I didn’t like how no one intervened while she tore shreds into her sister. I would have liked Elle to be stronger and stick up for herself and to own her actions.
The book does have a few inconsistencies that was confusing to read and some lose ends that weren’t tied up, and although I enjoyed this book it didn’t have the same pull as the previous two novels.
Overall this was a hot sexy trilogy that I devoured in two days, Elle and Sinclair will definitely stay with me. Don’t let the first books title put you off, the cheating aspect is so small in comparison to the whole story.

I’m sad that I finished The Consequence because that means I’m done with Sinclair and Elle’s story. I absolutely fell in love with this story line and I followed it through all three books. You definitely need to read these in order. The Consequence is full of sex, angst, family drama, intrigue, and love. The connection between Sinclair and Elle is palpable. I felt like I could feel their connection throughout the book. It was intense and full of ups and downs. Let me tell you, Sinclair is so convincing and romantic that if he walked in right now, I’d be leaving my husband. He’s alpha, sexy, dirty talking, assertive, and romantic. What more could a girl want?

I loved Elle and Sinclair, and everything about their love story. It’s a page turner of a series that’s filled with angst, heartache, mystery and intrigue not to mention the red hot sex scenes! However, what would have been for me a 5 star series was spoiled by the serious lack of editing. By book #3 there were errors on practically every page as well as a few inconsistencies, and the continuous describing of hair colour which I’m still confused about.
If I could give this book more than 5 stars, I would. It is such an amazing book. This is such a great storyline. It may be controversial but it makes for an awesome heated read. Between all the conflicts and challenges, this couple was just meant to be together. They have such sizzling chemistry, it never stops burning. There is so much hotness in this book, I love It!!
I’m going to be going through such horrible withdrawal after reading this trilogy. One of my favorites of all time!
The Consequence: Gawd, this book was so freaking good!
Gawd, this book was so freaking good!! I didn’t really know how they were going to wrap all of this up and give the characters a HEA after all the pain and heartache they caused, but the author totally pulled it off! The only thing I wished for was more of Elle and Sin, after. An Epilogue would have been great. I felt so bereft after it was over!
The Consequence is the fantastic conclusion to a truly epic love story. Not all love is sweet and gentle sometimes it’s raw, gritty, passionate and knows no bounds. Elle and Sin have taken me on a heartgripping journey as they found a love unlike anything they ever expected. I loved watching the growth both Elle and Sin underwent through this book. Seeing them learn to love every part of who they were as they began to accept themselves was a truly beautiful sight. These two stole a piece of my heart and gave credence to Blaise Pascal’s quote “the heart has its reasons which reason knows nothing of.”
The Consequence is the final conclusion to this epic trilogy and Giana Darling has executed it perfectly. The love between Giselle and Sinclair has been building slowly from the first book. However will their love give way to the mounting complications that keep cropping up and crash and burn? Read to find out in this unputdownable erotic trilogy that has completely captured my heart!
So very happy to see the Villain get his due!
I’ve never read a book that openly approached cheating before this series. There is a reason I typically don’t like cheaters, the pain and hate caused is almost always irreparable.
In this novel Giana Darling continues the story of Giselle and Sinclair. Taking a big leap with some wildly accurate hits, Giana makes us fall in love with the antihero. The woman who should get our support is just entirely too hateable.
Writing about the kind of dark sexual themes I like most Giana makes them classy. She brings out everyones skeletons, shakes them out, and shows our prudish, hateful nature for what it is: small mindedness.
Throughout Elle and Sinclair are surrounded by their friends who were Team Giselle from word one. A great book with action, mystery, and sex so hot it will make you squirm! I hope we get to read books about Cosima, Sebastian, and even Elena if Giana can find a way to make her less of a spiteful robot. I can’t WAIT to see what you have lined up for us next Giana! Thank you for your beautiful examination of BDSM, it’s about time someone made it classy AF and elegant throughout!
The Consequence is the finale to the story that began in Mexico, and it ends in Mexico. Now that Sin & Elle have made their decision, they have to pay the ultimate consequences for their actions and secrets. Will they be able to stay together or will they part for good by letting what others think drive their ultimate decision. This was a fabulous ending to one hot and exciting couple.
I don’t think I have words to do justice to this epic love story. The Consequence was the culmination of an absolutely all consuming story of heart ache and ultimate love; love that defies all odds. When you find your soulmate, how do you break the boundaries of what your mind tells you should be the right thing to do even when you know following your heart will cause destruction and pain to find your forever happiness? And happiness doesn’t even come close to describing the joy that is found when the love that is shared is the only path you can follow. The world that Giana Darling created around Sin and his Siren is nothing short of miraculous. The emotion this book pulled out of me will stick with me forever. I am so mad at myself that I haven’t read this book sooner. This book and the entire series is now one of my forever favorites. Giana Darling is truly a master at creating love stories that tear in to your heart and mind and live there forever.
Wow! What an ending to this trilogy! This book continues the rollercoaster ride of Sinclair and Elle’s story. You will be on the edge of your seat with this book.
Bring it home. Finish this off. If you made it through book 1 and 2, I don’t even know why you’re here instead of starting The Consequence rfn. If you’re here bc you’re feeling out the series- then here’s what I have to say:
The Evolution of Sin completely changed my view as a Romance reader. DO NOT be put off by the cheating warning. If you don’t read this bc of cheating, you are cheating yourself out of an AMAZING story. This series is about Sinclair and Elle finding each other, but also their respective journeys of self-discovery and sexual awakening. And it. Is. Hot. No one writes sexy times like Giana Darling. Recommend this book to everyone- esp readers who appreciate a little BDSM/kink.
Giana Darling ended this series in such a perfect manner. From start to finish, I experienced a myriad of conflicting and confounding emotions—however, the intense passion, inevitable drama and tremendous sorrows, it all manifested into this sinfully compelling and enthralling narrative. Brutally gritty and emotionally raw, Giana Darling didn’t hold anything back in delivering this heartrending conclusion to The Evolution of Sin series.
“Whatever the inception of our relationship, we had evolved and grown into something bigger than morality. We had cheated and lied and caused inexorable heartbreak in each other and those closest to us. We were sinners, undoubtedly, of the highest order. There was no way to deny or forget those truths. They just didn’t matter anymore. Maybe it was about damn time the villain had a happily ever after.”
Daniel Sinclair is everything—a flawless combination of aloof and sweet, dominant and romantic, daunting yet captivating. He is an addiction difficult to turn away from, a person you cannot escape and stop yourself from falling deeper in love with, especially as we finally get insight into his enigmatic, brilliant mind! Without doubt, Sinclair is enthralling, a multi-faceted and beyond complex hero with hidden delicious desires and sincere heart of undeniable passion.
“And since the moment I met Giselle Moore, my heart had stopped being mine to reason with.”
Oh, I love Giselle. Sweet and caring, yet sometimes apprehensive, she’s finally learned to find strength within herself and chase after happiness. And that love, in all its raw formations, isn’t easy. It is brutally honest, heartrending and oftentimes difficult, yet undeniably beautiful and generous. Real love isn’t about settling with convenience; it requires an intense fierceness of immense devotion and earnest affection and vicious yearning that is wretched but real.
Giselle and Sinclair’s relationship is shaped by unfortunate circumstances and reality’s harshness, but they have growth and morphed into wonderfully admirable characters who don’t excuse or glorify their behaviour.
“I knew from the moment I said goodbye to you on the plane that even if I never saw you again, my life was no longer enough. I needed family, a needed love and a woman who was wholly mine.”
If you’re searching for something that will wrench your heart, shattering it into minuscule pieces; that will send your mind into a conundrum of conflicting thoughts; that will throw your emotions into turmoil, I cannot recommend this series more than enough. Neither lighthearted nor uncomplicated, The Evolution of Sin series demonstrates the difficulties of falling in love with someone forbidden and simultaneously explores the complex yet trusting nature of BDSM.
Wow. I didn’t think I could fall more in love with Daniel and Giselle’s love, but Giana blew my expectations out of the water with the final book in The Evolution of Sin series. It has been an achingly tough journey, and I have absolutely fallen in love with the villains in this story. I am damn proud of Sin and Elle finally going after what they deserve. I mean that. Yes, they have wronged loved ones, and yes, what they have done is not socially or morally acceptable. But they had no choice in the matter–their love is too powerful to forget. This story has been a whirlwind of sensuality, heartbreak and true love. This story shows a deep, thought provoking and emotional side of bdsm unparalleled. With every book of hers that I read, I am truly awestruck. 5 outstanding stars for The Consequence.
The final book… everything is really laid out and there is no more hiding. My heart was racing and questions filled my mind. I definitely wanted to slap a character repeatedly. And then again. It’s interesting how petty people can be when things don’t go their way. It’s amazing how someone close to you, family even, can cut you so deeply. Tearing you down because clearly they have their own insecurities and the only way they can justice their existence is in making others feel bad about themselves. Yes, anger is understandable when there was betrayal and hurt caused but to be so petty and small in trying to destroy someone’s self worth is a low act. The story is packed with action, suspense and I’m not sure how but the steam in this story continues to leave me speechless. The story’s ending had me feeling content. But I do want to see more of some of the characters like Cage and Candy Kay and even Brianna. This has become a favourite series of mine without a doubt.
“I was jeopardizing my reputation and therefore my career and polarizing the only family that had ever really cared for me. Worst of all, I was forcing the love of my life to choose me over her sister. Do you want to know the worst thing about this cluster fuck of a situation? I didn’t care.”
What an epic conclusion to The Evolution of Sin trilogy. This beautiful erotic romance between Sin and Elle have taken readers through the taboo forbidden affair between two people who couldn’t have belonged together more. Finally having made the decision that happiness together was the only option they could live with, Elle must live with the separation between herself and her family. Will she run away as she has done repeatedly, or will she stand up for this once in a life time love regardless of her family’s position. The BDSM lifestyle that Elle and Sin practice is sexy and well written. This time, readers will get glimpses into the mindsets of both Sin and Elle as the story concludes with a powerful dual POV book. Giana Darling delivered a bBeautifully woven together story ripe with delicious angst, sweet romance and an unpredictable plot. Read The Evolution of Sin books in order—The Affair, The Secret, and finally The Consequence—and see how everyone’s favorite MC Romance author got her start!
“But happily-ever-afters were for princesses with hearts of gold and white knights in shining armor, not disloyal Italian artists who got off on being spanked or the morally ambiguous men who introduced them to said fetishisms.”
“It was difficult before, when no one knew about the affair. We had been disciples of immoral subterfuge and intense yearning, torn between our past and our dreams for the future.”
