WWWOOOOOOWWWWW!!! Omgosh what. a. ride. An amazing conclusion to Wren and the gang’s story. I’m sad it’s over! But that just means I’ll have to relisten to it This installment is a bit darker and more heart wrenching than the other ones. Lots of action and twists and moments. It also switches whose POV it follows which really adds to the story. It’s so so good!!
And of course Ms. Navarro knocked it out of the park! She continues to amaze me with her talent.
I absolutely loved this trilogy! The third, and final book did not disappoint at all. After the emotionally and physically devastating ending of the second book, the characters are left in not very good places. Wren, Lucas, Hale, Tom, Caladis, Olivia, et all, are all dealing with the aftermath in their own ways.
This world, full of magically infused food and drink, is such a unique and well constructed place, it easily draws you in. I love the use of food metaphors when describing things, it adds so much more to the perspective, and brings food and drink that more more to the forefront. And the use of food based expletives is perfect (“You scared the sugar out of me!) Everything drives home how much food plays a part in the lives of these characters. It’s their very essence.
The revolt against the new emperor is full of twists and turns. With alliances and betrayals, loyalties seemingly flip like pancakes (see, the food metaphors are contagious!). It’s a roller coaster ride of events and emotions all the way to the end. There are some very sweet relationship moments between Wren and Lucas, but especially Tom and Trick. I found myself smiling a lot whenever we got to see them together. The action is heart pounding and fast paced, and and story line likes with twist and turn, keeping you guessing.
The ending was the perfect conclusion to the story. It worked so well, and left me very satisfied with the outcome. I’m sad that the trilogy is over, but I enjoyed every minute of the ride.
Everything comes to a head in this stunning conclusion of The Confectioner’s Chronicles! I loved that we saw more of Wren’s past in this book and got to be in the heads of multiple characters. The larger conflict concerns them all, but they all each had their own battles to face. Definitely going to be reading more by Claire Luana soon!
While this book was a little predictable (trope wise) it was a great read. I loved the complexity of the characters, so many choices to be made, and paths to take. The epilogue was a beautiful conclusion to the trilogy. The magic in this story is so awesome, I love the spin it puts on the idea of magic in general. By far one of my favorite ways to “have magical abilities” if that makes sense.
The Confectioners Truth by: Claire Luana is the third and final book in The Confectioners Chronicles. Much like the other books by this author in this series, once I stared the book I didn’t want to put it down. The sweet treats and characters are unlike any other story I have read. This book will keep you on your toes, and although it’s the last book, it will leave you wanting more. I can’t wait to see what this author does next, I will definitely continue to read her books. I give this book 5 stars easily, because the only complaint I have is I wasnt ready for the book or series to end. Great Read!!
THE CONFECTIONER’S TRUTH is the third and final book in the “Confectioner Chronicles” series. As this book picks up where the last left off, it is very important to read this series in order.
The entire series was a well written fantasy that had many twists and turns and battles (internal and external). It has a lot of characters to keep track of, but each is pretty well defined in their role. This is one of those series that has it all… Mystery/suspense, fantasy, magic, adventure and action. The world building in the series continues until the very end. New characters are introduced in this story that bring a totally new feel and we get to see the “conclusion” to ongoing relationships.
I definitely have liked and disliked the same characters more than once and have rolled my eyes several times, but I think that is what makes a story interesting. It pulled emotion instead of apathy.
This is a series I would recommend to anyone who enjoys a good fantasy series. It was cool to watch the characters grow along with the story lines.
The Confectioner’s Truth (The Confectioner Chronicles #3) by Claire Luana was an epic conclusion to a equally epic series.
The final book in The Confectioner Chronicles, we are taking to the secrets that Wren hides, and ones we finally get to learn the full truth about. Picking up almost where the last book leaves off, there is no stopping this epic fantasy. As the danger lurks closer, the suspense thickened, I was on the edge of my seat for most, I at times even forgot to breathe! This book, was damn near perfect, and as much as I didn’t want to leave this world, or these characters, all things must come to a end. I have to say, as this being one of my favorite series of 2018, I’m feeling pretty satisfied with the ending.
There is nothing else to say, outside of the wonderful detail and the top notch writing that is consistent throughout the series. This is a series to all, and I highly recommend you get your hands on it. Please take my golden stamp of approval, that you will get lost in this beautiful, wonderful world of magic, betrayal, love and above all, friendship.
Happy Reading

Life is definitely not better under the rule of the new emperor. Wren and her few friends are forced to flee Maradis. In her search for Lucas, she manages to gather an alliance with some new and old friends. They need to take back their city but the craziness has upped a notch putting her life at stake yet again. Will Wren be able to survive or will the evil finally win?
There were so many heart stopping moments in this book. You didn’t know who to trust. With many twists and turns, the author kept you on the edge of your seat. Like any war, there were losses and people had to make sacrifices. Some of them saddened me while others shocked me. This was an amazing conclusion to the Confectioner Chronicles. Though the ending satisfied me, I was a little upset. I enjoyed this series so much that I was sad to see it end. Thank you Ms Luana for bringing this world and these characters to life.
The Confectioner’s Truth is the third novel in the Confectioner’s Chronicles series. This is my fifth novel by this author.
Two weeks after the events of the second novel, Wren and her group are exploring new lands.
Going through a period of self-doubt, Wren has to come to terms with her previous bad decisions. She feels the weight of her loss and wonders what to do next. She has been a character that I have really enjoyed reading about. Her growth over the course of the three books has been amazing to read with me rooting for her and wondering how this story will end.
Wren has made a lot of decisions but now she has to pull herself together in order to save Alessa.
I can’t describe in words how this novel has made me feel. Feeling a maelstrom of emotions and sad to see this end but it was a satisfied ending.
For anyone looking for something new to read with an amazing premise and relatable characters, I highly recommend this.

As I likely mentioned in my reviews of the first two books in this trilogy, this series is meant to be read in sequential order. Each book ties in well with the storyline of the book before it, picking up where we left off.
I really enjoyed this series as a whole, I don’t read this genre too often but every now and then a book will catch my eye. The Confectioner’s Chronicles truly surpassed my expectations, I enjoyed the series from each cover to the conclusion. There was never a shortage of excitement, twists and turns to keep you on the edge of your seat. Wren was a great character with depth and I enjoyed seeing the character progression throughout the series.
It’s difficult to share the aspects of this book I really enjoyed without running the risk of spoiling anything. That being said, I felt like the Confectioner’s Truth wrapped up the Chronicles very well and I wasn’t left disappointed. Claire Luana has crafted must read series for sure!
The story The Confectioner’s Truth (Confectioner Chronicles Book 3) by Claire Luana is a mix of fantasy and thrill ride. The story continues with Wren and the members of the guild. There is a new ruler who is beyond bad. He rules like a madman and things are not stable for anyone. I recommend reading the other books in the series. The characters have grown and matured through the course of the series. I enjoy Wren because she is not cocky or self-centered. She is unsure of herself and does not always make the best decisions. She is rash at times and at other times she is centered and in total control. These traits make her easy to relate. There are many past characters who are back and some new ones as well. This is a great series that I enjoyed reading. I am sad to see it end but will be watching for new books from this author in the future.

I can not believe this series is over 🙁 This story had me a hot mess and started right in on page 1 and never let go till the end and then it stayed with me for a bit after.
There was a lot going on in this story, we met a lot of new people and visited many new places..I loved this part and I felt as if I was right there with Wren as she was making quick decisions and having a lot of inner battles…I found myself trying to help her and felt like I was feeling everything she was. This character has grown so much through these books and I have totally fallen in love with her, and poor Hale…I miss what feels like the old days with Hale and now there he is regretting so many things, this made me sad.
I’m not going into any more than that. You have to read this, the twists and turns had me on the edge of my seat the whole book. This author has done an amazing job with this series. I’ve loved every word and every page of all of these books. I absolutely can not wait to read them all again!! She ended this series beautifully and in my humble opinion sets the bar high for any other books in this genre.
Brilliant and I can’t wait to read what is to come from this author!! This is one of those books/series that deserves so much more than 5 stars.
I give The Confectioner’s Truth (Confectioner Chronicles Book 3) by Claire Luana, 5 stars.
**This review contains spoilers from previous books in the series.**
It seems like nothing will be right again. Wren has fought to be where she is today, but where has it brought her? Betrayed by a good friend. While another lays dead from something Wren encouraged. And the man she loves — gone from her and she doesn’t know where — or if he’s even alive. She can’t do this anymore. But the new king may just be even worse than the previous. There is a dark plot going on, destroying what little left Wren holds dear. Can she find the strength to help stop it? Does she even want to try? Or should she just flee?
This series has been absolutely amazing. And this, the conclusion, is no different in that regard. Each book seems to have gotten darker and this is definitely the darkest one yet. There is so much despair, especially in the beginning of the book. But there is also action and love amongst the heartbreak. Not to mention the characters. Many of them are back from the previous books. And the growth they have all gone through is astounding. Some for better, some for worse. Some seem lost, others find their true meaning. Plus there are new characters we meet, both ones we love and ones we hate. Some, we’re not sure about just yet.
Yes, this is the conclusion to this series and is does not disappoint in that aspect. It does bring us a certain kind of closure. But my heart breaks, because I really want to see so much more of this world. Dear author, can we please see more of this wonderful world?
For those lovers of fantasy in a world of action and twists and turns, I highly recommend this whole series.
The Confectioner’s Truth (Confectioner Chronicles Book 3) by Claire Luana
5 Stars!!!!!
I couldn’t wait to get delved into this book and boy I wasn’t disappointed. This is the third book in the
series and fourth one I have read by this author. The books just keep getting better and better. I was drawn in from the first page and couldn’t put the book down.
The author does such a wonderful job of keeping the drama going from book to book. There seems to be a smooth transition from the fist straight through to the third book in this series. To get to follow more the lives of Wren and her fellow confectioners as the head into the pending war kept me glued to the edge of my seat. The way that the drama unfolds keeps your attention. I wasn’t disappointed as I continued to read as the drama unfolded in this book. I really will be reading more from this author in the future and hopefully there will be more in this series.
5 Stars
This is the third book in the Confectioners Chronicles Series and they just keep getting better and better. With mystery, suspense and a little romance this book is sure to rock your socks off. This series should be read in order to get the best reading experience possible. So much deception in this book and so many twists and turns I was on the edge of my seat the whole book. I loved the characters and couldn’t help but feel a tug at my heart when things went downhill for them. The author writing style is like a cherry on top of an awesome Sundae and I couldn’t get enough. I really enjoyed this series and I am looking forward to reading more by this author!!
Go get this book now!! Happy reading!
Review by Anastasia D.
The Confectioner’s Truth is the final book in The Confectioner Chronicles by Claire Luana. It is the final gorgeous cover and the final magical visit that we will get and I am so book depressed. When I first started this series a few months ago I immediately got swept up into this world that Luana had created so vividly and I have been enamored ever since. The way these covers scream magic and adventure the story lives up inside with an incredible world-building. I almost felt as if I was within the novel itself, something I absolutely love.
The magic, action, and adventure continues for Wren a couple weeks after the second book, The Confectioner’s Coup. I would highly recommend that you read these books in order, including the prequel because this is as mentioned a finale to a series. We meet a lot of new characters, get some new romances, unexpected tears, and a conclusion to remember. I can’t wait to see what will come next from Claire Luana! I am sure it will be outstanding.

What a great end to this book. The author truly knew how to pull you into this story. The magic alone would’ve been good. But the author added the twists and turns. Love, death, tragedy and sweets made this story even better. Wren was really brave even though she didn’t do very much. She has been. Through a lot in this story and I was glad with how it ended. The author did an amazing job developing the characters throughout every book.
It’s always darkest before the dawn and that’s certainly the case with Claire Luana’s The Confectioner’s Truth (Confectioner Chronicles Book 3), the concluding volume of this marvelous trilogy. Picking up where book 2 ended things are not looking good for Wren and company, but don’t lose faith. There will be lots of intrigue, twists abs turns, thrills and adventure to come but this author knows how to end things in style. That’s certainly the case with this most satisfying conclusion. But for the fact that I’m literally dictating this review to my husband from my hospital bed I could go on and on with praises. The book definitely deserves it. Since I can’t do that I will simply note that the book is most definitely one to read, and it is easy to highly recommend.
The Confectioner’s Truth (Confectioner’s Chronicles Book 3)
By Claire Luana
The Confectioner’s Truth is the third and final book this series. Please don’t start with book three I wouldn’t recommend them read a standalone. We have the pleasure of meeting some new characters in this book, each one I feel enhances the storyline. Wren went through some time in self-doubt and tries to learn from mistakes she has made. Will she be able to learn and not make the same mistakes again? The only thing I did question was why so many couples, but all in all I enjoyed the book. The thing I liked about this series is I found most of the characters to have their own strengths, I could be wrong but that’s my personal opinion! I really liked how Claire just kept building up this series, sometimes I find the last book in a series to be disappointing, but not with this book. The Confectioner’s Truth has ended this series perfectly. I would also recommend anyone and everyone to read this series, you won’t be disappointed.
