The Confectioner’s Guild
A magic cupcake. A culinary killer. The perfect recipe for murder.
Wren knew her sweet treats could work wonders, but she never knew they could work magic. She barely has time to wrap her head around the stunning revelation when the head of the prestigious Confectioner’s Guild falls down dead before her. Poisoned by her cupcake.
Now facing murder charges in a magical world she doesn’t understand, Wren must discover the true killer or face the headsman’s axe. But when her search for clues leads to a deep-rooted conspiracy that goes all the way to the top, she realizes that the guild master isn’t the only one at risk of death by chocolate.
If Wren can’t bring the powerful culprit to justice, she and her friends will meet a bittersweet end.
The Confectioner’s Coup
Wren thought things were bad when her boyfriend’s father tried to frame her for murder. But that was before a hostile army showed up at the city gates, ready to swallow Maradis whole. And before guild members began disappearing one by one–including the Confectioner’s Guild’s newest Gifted recruit.
Wren, suspecting the king is to blame for the disappearances, undertakes a dangerous investigation that sets her on a collision course with old and new enemies alike. Will she be able to find the missing guild members before tensions boil over into outright rebellion? Or are the guilds willing to go further than she ever realized to rid themselves of the king’s tyranny…
The Confectioner’s Truth
A deadly new enemy rules Alesia with an iron fist–and an unnatural interest in the magic of the Confectioner’s Guild. Betrayed by one of their own, Wren and her few remaining allies flee Maradis to secure whatever aid they can find.
But new dangers and old ghosts lurk around every corner, forcing Wren to confront truths she thought she’d buried deep long ago. Will Wren be able to piece together an alliance, and enough of her own shattered heart, to take back her home from those who hold it hostage? Or will her magic prove too tempting a morsel for her enemies to refuse…
The Confectioner’s Exile
Hale Firena has everything–looks, money, power, more girls than he knows what to do with. But in one night everything changes, as a bloody coup turns Hale into a penniless refugee on the run for his life.
Hale’s not cut out for real life–the thought of holding down a real job is almost more horrible than the pirates and bandits chasing him. Is Hale’s swagger enough to see him to safety, or has his luck truly run out?
Read the story of Hale Firena before he joined the Confectioner’s Guild in this Confectioner Chronicles prequel novella.

The Confectioner Chronicles: The Complete Fantasy Mystery Series
By: Claire Luana
5 out of 5 stars
This is a series that I loved reading. It has all four of the stories in the Confectioner Chronicle series that are fun and entertaining to read. It has wonderful characters that I fell in love with and wanted them to succeed in whatever they did. There is action, danger, romance, and suspense in these books. There are times when I was turning pages wondering what was going to happen next. I loved the character of Wren. She is strong, intelligent, and independent. Her story is one that pulled me in from the very beginning and didn’t let me go until I read the final page of the final story. This is a YA fantasy novel and I loved how the books included magic and mystery. Besides Wren, there are other characters that I grew to care about and enjoyed reading about them and their interactions with Wren. Many of them are helpful to her. Then there are those with their own agenda what will do anything to make their plans and agenda happen. Don’t miss out on an exciting series that you won’t be able to put down. I highly recommend it. The stories that are included in this set are The Confectioner’s Guild/The Confectioners Coup/The Confectioner’s Truth/The Confectioner’s Exile.
Loved this series. So glad I was able to buy all 4 books in a box set. Box sets are great! I read all four books without stopping after each one to buy the next one. I totally recommend this series.
I loved this series. I find myself thinking of the characters long after I finished reading. I wish I could keep reading in this series. Such a refreshing fantasy with original characters and unusual magic. I really hope there’s more to come. It’s not just a read for teens and young adults.
I loved the characters, the descriptions of the candy, and the clothing, I could actually feel like I was being menaced by the King. I could feel the drama, I liked the unexpected, not one of those happy every after stories. I felt Hale’s loss and even could understand his anger.
Can you imagine a group of food experts who can infuse their food with magic? Wren can give you luck, Hale can help you win at games of chance, and many others can bring you health, or wisdom, or strength in battle. However this magic is secret and is being perverted by King Imbris to enhance his power. This series is unique, but the characters are truly magical. Each character brings something positive to the story and the guild, even though the character might have come from unhappy circumstances. This makes the series uplifting, and the author develops a sense of family within the plot. That’s not to say that everyone is perfect or acts selflessly all the time, but overall the characters are good. The books are filled with murder, subterfuge, pirates, adventure, invasion – and all sorts of other events – but the books are always stimulating and worth reading.
A feel of turn of the century England and fantasy. The mix of food and magic is wonderful. The characters are likeable and the story moves along quickly. A great read.
So much fun I can hardly take it! LOVE this series!!!!
I read the first book, and then discovered that I could get the complete set. It’s a different kind of story with magic, politics, tragedy, and hope. Liked the main character, and those that help her too.
A fun read
Review posted on Google This is now my favorite author
I’ve read the first of the series. It is excellent. The plot twists keep you on the edge of your seat and reading on into the night.
The Confectioners Chronicles: The Complete Fantasy Mystery Series By Claire Luana. I read each of these books individually prior to the box set coming out. I really enjoyed the writing style and the uniqueness of these stories. The author keeps you on your toes and you never know what’s going to be next. When the box set came out I re-read them and I loved them just as much the second time. There’s a little bit of everything for anyone in these books. I highly recommend reading them, you will not be disappointed. I love this author and cannot wait to see what she does next.

The Confectioner Chronicles: The Complete Fantasy Mystery Series
(The Confectioner Chronicles)
by Claire Luana
Book 1: “What a fun read, it was everything I was hoping it would be and more. Claire Luana open this book running and quickly the plot is under way”
Book 2: “Masterfully written this beautiful dangerous world isn’t like anything I have read before. It just keeps hitting me with new fresh ideas and plots, that I can’t believe this book, this series, isn’t more popular. Not only are we treated with talented writing but, the emotions behind that wiriting gets you right in the feels.”
Book 3: “The final book in The Confectioner Chronicles, we are taking to the secrets that Wren hides, and ones we finally get to learn the full truth about. Picking up almost where the last book leaves off, there is no stopping this epic fantasy. As the danger lurks closer, the suspense thickened, I was on the edge of my seat for most, I at times even forgot to breathe!”
This series is a super high recommendation from me. It’s worth your everything!

I give The Confectioner Chronicles: The Complete Fantasy Mystery Series by Claire Luana, 5 stars.
This series is centered around Wren, a teenage girl who has had a rough start to life. The only thing she is good at is baking. She is an apprentice at a bakery and it’s not the best life, but it’s better than she’s had. Then she gets the dream of her life — a chance to be in the Confectioner’s Guild. It is a dream come true. But the dream quickly turns bad. She is thrust into suspicion and plots beyond what she can believe. Things seem darker as the books continue, but Wren quickly learns to believe in herself and trust in her friends. Can they turn things around and make it better for all the people who live there? Or will the price be too large?
This series is incredible. It is unlike anything I have read before and the author weaves a world that feels so real, you quickly become part of it. This is a series for all ages, not just young adult. The characters are great! There are some you love and others you love to hate. Plus you really see them grow as the series moves on.
If you are a fan of magic, great worlds, and excellent characters, this series is for you and I highly recommend it.
The Confectioner Chronicle by Claire Luana
5 stars!!!!!
I have to say that this series is a really great read. Whether you are sat on a beach or just relaxing at home this is a perfect read. I enjoyed this series a lot even though it wasn’t my go to genre. I really like how the author was able to weave just enough drama and intrigue into the story. Each book blends right with the one before it.
Book 1
The Confectioner’s Guild (The Confectioner Chronicles book 1) by Clarie Luana
What can I say but I absolutely have fallen for this series. The author has such a unique way of
bringing the characters to life and I felt as though I was actually in the story. The refreshing
way that you are drawn into the book and just feel as though you are escaping into the world that the author has developed. I just couldn’t put this book down.
I really felt drawn to Wren from the very start. The drama that unfolds around her brings you to
the edge of your seat with anticipation. I liked how the author was able to not only throw in drama and intrigue but also weaved in just the touch of romance to boot. I really enjoyed the dynamic between Wren, Sable and Hale. Into the mix you have the chemistry between Wren and Lucas. The whole dynamic just adds to the intrigue in the book. I really cannot wait for the next book in this series. To get to delve more into the lives of the Confectioners and their world alongside the other guilds and see where the magic leads.
Book 2
The Confectioner’s Coup (Confectioner Chronicles Book 2) by Claire Luana
I am once again no let down. This is the second book in this series and the third book including the prequel to the series that I have read. The author really has such a great way of grabbing the reader and keeping you at the edge of your seat. I really found myself getting lost in this magical confectioner’s world she has created.
Book 3
The Confectioner’s Truth (Confectioner Chronicles Book 3) by Claire Luana
I couldn’t wait to get delved into this book and boy I wasn’t disappointed. This is the third book in the series and fourth one I have read by this author. The books just keep getting better and better. I was drawn in from the first page and couldn’t put the book down.
The author does such a wonderful job of keeping the drama going from book to book. There seems to be a smooth transition from the fist straight through to the third book in this series. To get to follow more the lives of Wren and her fellow confectioners as the head into the pending war kept me glued to the edge of my seat. The way that the drama unfolds keeps your attention. I wasn’t disappointed as I continued to read as the drama unfolded in this book. I really will be reading more from this author in the future and hopefully there will be more in this series.
I have to say that the more I read about Wren’s life the more I really find I am drawn to her character. She has gone through so much in her short time in the Guild and then to have to endure more. She is a very strong leading character and the author does such a great job of developing her character around the drama that unfolds. I really felt all the emotions vicariously as Wren went through them and in this book she has a roller coaster of them. She winds up losing so much and yet she still has Lucas. I really felt my heart in my throat as the book came to the ending and once again to have the book on a cliff hanger of sorts really has me anxious for the next book in the series. I will definitely be reading more from this author and the series.
The characters just seem to jump right out of the pages and into your imagination. I felt as though I was part of the action as it all unfolded. I really found the concept of the series to be quite unique and refreshing. The story is quite well written and easy to read. I definitely recommend this series and this author.
The Confectioner Chronicles: The Complete Fantasy Mystery Series by Claire Luana is a fantastic series that will keep you hooked from start to finish.
Claire Luana is an absolute talent when it comes to creating a world that will have you gripped. She creates characters that are so vivid and captivating. Wren is exactly this type of character. She carries the whole of this story beautifully. She is strong and fiesty and you can’t help but fall in love with her.
This is one of those series that should be on everyone’s must read list!
This was a brilliant series filled with mystery, adventure and enough going on to keep you on your toes throughout. I have loved every second of this series it had me hooked right from the very start til the very end I just couldn’t set it down and I’m excited to read more from this author!!
The Confectioner Chronicles : the Complete Fantasy Mystery Series
Claire Luana
4 out of 5 stars
If you find yourself even slightly interested in Claire Luana’s Confectioner Chronicles, I recommend doing yourself a favor and purchasing the box set.
Each installment of this series is fast paced and exciting with fun characters and fantastic imagery.
I would be surprised if you didn’t want to dive into the second book immediately after finishing the first. That being said, this isn’t a stand alone series, I would recommend reading each book in sequential order to get the most of the storyline.
I’ve read books by Claire Luana in the past so her name itself drew me to the Confectioner Chronicles but the unique plot and rich storyline is what kept me coming back. If you’re looking for a fun, magical adventure, I would definitely recommend this box set.
