Typical early Harry Bosch mystery – great!
One of Connelly’s best, written some time ago, and one I missed at the time. So glad I found it. Could not put it down. You’ll think you’ve figured it out, but will be surprised.
Michael writes a police procedural that reads like a novel. One of the top writers today.

If you like Harry Bosch stories this is one of my favorites. Excellent story line, the charters just live in your mind. Great interaction between Harry and J Edger. Big twist at the end. If you enjoy a great detective tale then this book will not disappoint you.
An accurate portrayal of life on the job.
All of Michael Connelly’s books are well written and realistic. Harry Bosch is one of the police procedural genre’s great detectives, a complicated man, well drawn and dedicated to each case he is involved with …”everyone counts or no one counts”.
