From USA Today bestselling author Julianne MacLean comes the latest instalment in her popular Color of Heaven Series, where people are affected by real life magic and miracles that change everything they once believed about life and love.Having spent a lifetime in competition with his older brother Aaron—who always seemed to get the girl—Jack Peterson leaves the U.S. to become a foreign … the U.S. to become a foreign correspondent in the Middle East. When a roadside bomb forces him to return home to recover from his wounds, he quickly becomes the most celebrated journalist on television, and is awarded his own prime time news program. Now, wealthy and successful beyond his wildest dreams, Jack believes he has finally found where he is meant to be. But when a 747 explodes in the sky over his summer house in Cape Elizabeth, all hell breaks loose as the wreckage crashes to the ground. He has no idea that his life is about to take another astonishing turn…
Meg Andrews grew up with a fear of flying, but when it meant she wouldn’t be able to visit her boyfriend on the opposite side of the country, she confronted her fear head-on, and earned her pilot’s license. Now, a decade later, she is a respected airline crash investigator, passionate about her work, to the point of obsession. When she arrives in the picturesque seaside community of Cape Elizabeth to investigate a massive airline disaster, she meets the famous and charismatic Jack Peterson, who has his own personal fascination with plane crashes.
As the investigation intensifies, Meg and Jack feel a powerful, inexplicable connection to each other. Soon, they realize that the truth behind the crash—and the mystery of their connection—can only be discovered through the strength of the human spirit, the timeless bonds of family, and the gift of second chances.

Not the best book in this series. The plot involves a mega-star reporter and an NTSB investigator of airline crashes. The reporter, Jack, believes he has lived other lives. This thread goes through the whole story and adds an interesting twist even if that’s not your belief. His previous relationship with his brother’s wife is not really explained even though it is a big basis for the animosity between the brothers. It’s a strange family dynamic that took away from the believability of the story. The focus on the appearance of the characters made it unbelievable along with no comments on the age difference between Jack and Meg. The airline owners information as well as the crash investigation were interesting to read. However the story just left me feeling unsatisfied when I finished it.
this book was very interesting with family dynamics abounding, very vivid telling of a plane crash, and a hummer being hit by a bomb. I believe in reincarnation so I found the book very interesting in that respect.
I enjoyed the story very much. I hope we hear more about Meg and jack in the next book. It inspired me to live more in the moment.
This was a good read without a lot of trash words.
Good book.
good message, enjoyed.
Well written and interesting but I just can’t get into reincarnation.
I stumbled upon this book and then scrambled to find the rest of these books.
Inspirational and moving. A lovely read!
Really good read! Hard to put down
I like everything this author writes. She is a wonderful story writer and keeps me reading past my allotted time. Her stories are not too long, never drag on, and I am left wanting more.
Loved the story.
Every once in a while you read a book that is so well written that you grow to love the characters. This book did that for me! I became totally invested in the story and the characters. I have read this author before and knew that she always delivers an amazing story. A wonderful read!
Another lovely colour book! Easy reading.
Enjoyed the series of books. Thought provoking and tied characters from other books. Worth a read.
I am unable to put any books down by this author and that definitely includes this one! Her writing grabs me from the first page to the last and I don’t want her books to end!
Two brothers, Aaron and Jack are very competitive, and are not close. Aaron is the gifted brother, and Jack feels he can never measure up. When they were in high school, Aaron always got the girl. When Jack was reporting in the East, he was in an accident that led to him becoming a leading journalist. He meets Meg who is an investigator for the airlines. The crash they are investigating has similarities to a crash that killed Jack’s friend when he was in junior high. As they try to determine the cause of the crash. They become close. This is an interesting story that presents a unique twist for the reader to consider.
I loved every minute!
Good short read. Entertaining though a bit out of my belief zone since reincarnation is not a belief in which I am in agreement.
It kept my attention. I felt like it ended too soon.
All of the “Color or Heaven” books are awesome, easy to read, novellas, well written with wonderful characters. I’ve introduced my Book club to Julianne MacLean’s newest books, “Curve in the Road” & “Fire Sparking.” Love those too. Highly recommend this author and her great books.
