Excellent story. I loved it.
Hard to follow at first but based on truth so important views
A new author for me: bonus! I loved the book, which utilized the common style of two time periods well. It focused on Hungary during the Nazi invasion and then modern day Israel. It is based on a true story about how a Hungarian Jew managed to deal with the Nazis and allow a train load of 1500 Jews to be freed into neutral Switzerland. Ten years later, when the Jews in Israel forgot what it was like to live under the Nazis, there was a legal battle of whether he was a hero or a traitor.
Another chapter of WW11 history and another case of no good deed going unpunished.
fascinating story. politics and hate can cause people to do terrible things.
I have traveled to these areas so loved knowing where she was and what she saw. Interested in how all these people lived through that time.
Good read.
Historical fiction well done.
Loved the book. A woman who makes a dramatic change in her life. Quitting her job and taking a trip alone to Hungary and then Israel.
I couldn’t stop reading it!! Beautifully told story
