She took a dare and fell in love. Truth would have been the smarter choice. After years of living under her father’s thumb, Emmeline is ready to break free. She’s abandoned her life as a New York socialite to follow her dream of becoming a kindergarten teacher in a small, wholesome town. Seeing the man that nearly broke her was absolutely not what she had hoped to find in Prescott, Montana.Nick … Montana.
Nick hasn’t seen his Emmy in nine years, but that doesn’t mean he’s forgotten a thing about the woman he loves. After just one blissful night as man and wife, he gave her up, sacrificing his own happiness to keep her safe—far away from him. But the moment she walks back into his lonely life is the moment he decides never to let her go again. He won’t waste his second chance. All he has to do is win back Emmeline’s heart, keep her safe from the shadows in his past and prove to her that taking a wager on him is a sure bet.

Enjoyable.
After reading The Coppersmith Farmhouse I was excited to go back to Jamison Valley for another story but I waited for the audiobook release and didn’t regret that decision. The Clover Chapel is an awesome audiobook with great narration by Ava Erickson and Joe Arden.
“Let’s get married,” Nick whispered into my ear.
“What?” I gasped, turning to look up at him with wide eyes. Where had that come from?
“Let’s get married. You said you wanted crazy. Nothing is crazier than two people who just met getting hitched in Las Vegas.”
What a great blend of insta-love, Vegas wedding, second-chance, with some mystery and danger thrown in for a story that engrosses and entertains!!
Devney Perry writes pure gold!
I really enjoyed The Clover Chapel which is no surprise because the first one was amazing , the story line had me hooked with shocking moments and a twist I didn’t see coming just WOW (can be read as as standalone but a big spoiler is mentioned if you do plan to read book one ) . Adored the fact that we got to see how the couple met and spent a night together my heart shattered for the heroine and I to was filled with questions that needed answering . Once Emmeline and Nick meet again in a fate kind of way you could still feel that spark they shared so many years ago, it’s understandable why the heroine is hesitant to start something up again but I so wanted them to get together right away well when we found out why the hero did what he did then they could get back together , I’m glade that Devney Perry didn’t rush it these two needed time and the pace was perfect . Loved Emmy yes I called her that take that Nick (wink ) was a great heroine felt bad for her every time her gross, mean ,money hungry , gross yes I meant to say it twice because ICK the list goes on father would say hurtful things to Emmy it made me want to nut punch him so loved when Nick put him in his place , she’s so kind , thoughtful ,beautiful , and I wish she would have been my teacher because she is awesome . Nick is oh so yummy would do anything for the heroine even ripping his heart out to keep her safe I hope we get to see more of his brother (wink) . They had a lot of chemistry with sex scenes that were super hot yet tasteful and helped each other fight past demons . Can’t wait to read more by this author so excited to see whats to come .

After reading The Coopersmith Farmhouse, I couldn’t wait to read Devney Perry’s next book in the Jamison Valley series. There are certain authors you feel an instant connection with. Their writing style is everything you look for in a book, and you can’t wait for new releases from such authors. Devney Perry reminds me of Kristen Ashley who is a one-click author for me. I’ve devoured her books since I found her and to find another author who’s writing style reminds me so much of hers excites me to no end. The heroines are strong and fierce, and the heroes are alpha men that make you swoon.
Nick Slater is the sexy alpha with a beard that will make you swoon and fall in love with him in this second chance romance. I knew he had his work cut out for him trying to win his Emmy back after ditching her 9 years ago after their wedding night with a note stating one word. Sorry.
Emmeline finally has her dream job. She’s left her life behind leaving New York City to move to Prescott, Montana to be a kindergarten teacher. What she didn’t expect was to find her missing husband of 9 years. Why had he left and how could she ever forgive him?
The Jamison Valley series is quickly becoming a favorite of mine with all the fantastic characters throughout along with the sexy alpha men, and the mysteries. I highly recommend this book!
