After just one blissful night as man and wife, he gave her up, sacrificing his own happiness to keep her safe—far away from him. But the moment she walks back into his lonely life is the moment he decides never to let her go again. He won’t waste his second chance. All he has to do is win back Emmeline’s heart, keep her safe from the shadows in his past and prove to her that taking a wager on him is a sure bet.

So I’m going a bit backwards here as I somehow have not read the Jamison Valley series back when they first released. I got hooked on Devney Perry with Lark Cove. It’s kind of funny reading this book because I kind of knew the background of this story already because I’ve read Dash’s story in Gypsy King.
I loved Nick so much and how much he thought he had to sacrifice to keep Emmeline safe broke my heart.
This is a story of love at first sight, fate, and second chances. I love all these characters and cannot wait to dive into more Jamison Valley books.
I didn’t remember Nick from the first book, but I loved him anyway. Seeing the characters from the first book was brilliant and I totally fell in love with this couple. Bloody love this series!

This story was on my TBR for a while and I went in and read it in one sitting. What an amazing surprise that Nick is Dash’s brother in Gypsy King. I absolutely LOVED this story. It was entertaining and captivating. This is a 6 star must read.
Thus was a really good storyline and I liked the characters a lot. There was to much sex scenes for my taste. The characters were believable and the story line was fun to follow.
I loved this whole story. Beautiful.
3,5 Stars
The first book I ever read by Devney Perry was Tattered (Lark Cove 1). At the time I didn’t know it was a spin off series based on a character we meet in The Clover Chapel. Although I already knew the rough lines of the story, it was really nice to see it evolve through Emmeline’s eyes.
I wasn’t sure I was going to like Emmeline before reading this book. Luckily she turned out to be totally different from how I expected her to be. I ended up loving her.
For obvious reasons I didn’t like Nick much at the beginning of the book, but once I got to know him better and his reasons I started liking him a whole lot.
The only reason I can’t give this book a higher score is because awful situations kept adding up. It felt like there was too much going wrong after the other.
This series is simply amazing….
Absolutely love second chance romances! Nick and Emmy were so cute together and I loved that they met and married in five hours. I love how Draven changed at the end of the book. So excited for the next book in the series!
Be still my heart.
I love when authors write books that aren’t boring, The Clover Chapel is the second book in the Jamison Valley series and let me tell you, these books are awesome. The plot has a lot of unexpected twists and turns, lots of family drama, great friends, real life situations, sexy time and mostly love. Beautiful unconditional, imperfect love. Some parts of the book are so good that I find myself unable to stop turning the pages, especially at night. I fell in love with the characters from the first book in the series, The Coppersmith Farmhouse, it’s so nice the way the author brings the characters together in the other books to tie the stories together. Very enjoyable book, I love everything this author writes so far, she doesn’t disappoint.
This is the second book in this series, and as I read it, I started to settle into Prescott, Montana. The description of the surroundings is particularly good in this series. It makes me want to look up the cost of flights.
This story is a second chance at love, with a very extended gap. The main character, Emmeline isn’t your usual socialite/city slicker in the countryside and I really enjoyed that. Nick is also a hero who isn’t perfect in the right ways, and has a sensitive, self doubting side that is realistic.
The action is well placed and towards the end I was racing to find out what happened. I loved the plot twists and the family reunions. I recommend this book, and am looking forward to the next in the series.
I am really enjoying this series. It’s a good mix of romance and suspense. I never seen the ending of this one coming. I loved catching up with Gigi, Jess, and the rest of the crew. I can’t wait to start the next book!
I love the feeling while discovering a new author and series. I love Ms. Perry’s style and how she writes with the perfect balance of love story with mystery and drama. Emmeline and Nick have been estranged for almost ten years. When she decides to leave New York, she never could guess she’d move to the same small town as her husband. While they try rebuilding their relationship, Nick’s reasons for leaving her are revealed and it adds another level to the story. I loved the tie-ins to the COPPERSMITH FARMHOUSE and am glad we still get to see the Cleary’s. I’m not only looking forward to the rest of the series, but also diving into Ms. Perry’s other books.
A second chance at romance between Emmy & Nick. They married on a whim in Vegas and it has been 9 years. Love both characters and happy Jess and Gigi are part of the story. LOVED IT
The Clover Chapel by Devney Perry is absolutely amazing!!
As soon as I started reading this novel, I knew that it was something special. Heck, as soon as I read the synopsis I knew it was going to be good. How many novels do you read about truth or dare and then ending up falling in love? I’ll tell you, that there aren’t that many. For that reason alone, this novel is a must read!
Nick and Emmy are the other part of the story that really drew me in. They had such a chemistry between them, that it was simply undeniable!
I definitely urge everyone to go and purchase and read this novel today. It is such a unique and special novel that I can’t say enough good things about!
4.5/5 Stars!
What a lovely story. Another five star read by Devney Perry. Seriously sweet with a touch of suspense that created the tale of two young people who married in a Vegas Chapel, never divorced, who bump into each other again and just can’t seem to let go again. Not that that was ever an option! Those two definitely belong together. Can’t wait to catch up with them in the next Jamison Valley story.
As much as I didn’t like the first 20% of the book, I have to say – I’ve fallen in love with the other 80%!
I couldn’t really get close to Emmaline at the beginning, but then she proves she has a lovely soul. And Nick it’s just so perfect! I loved him.
I think I’ll never want to leave Prescott!
I started the book not really loving the story but after 30% I could not stop reading it and after 70% I was going crazy over it. I loved how devoted Nick was to Emmy. And all the twists and turns were AMAZING!
Devney makes sure she ties all knots. That detail you thought she missed at the beginning? Yeah, she didn’t. I love it!
And the Small Town Feeling IS THE BEST THING EVER!
Another well written novel by Devney Perry. I am normally not a fan of second chance romance, especially when I do not like why one side left the other. Emmeline and Nick meet in Las Vegas and feel an instant connection, they end up getting married and the next night Nick decides to leave Emmy and they do not see each other for 9 years. Emmy moves back to New York broken hearted and having living an unbearable life with her father she decides to go after her dream of becoming a kindergarten teacher. The two meet again in Prescott, Montana where their second chance life begins.
I had mixed feelings for both Emmy and Nick. My heart broke for Emmy when she was abandoned by Nick, she tried to move on but before having a divorce finalized she was in a semi-committed relationship. Even though she was unable to find Nick and it would be unfair to have her live a half-life, it did bother me that she was with Logan. When Emmy and Nick reconnected I was happy to see that side of her life was quickly resolved without a lot of conflict and negative feelings. As for Nick, even though I was not really satisfied for his reasons for leaving Emmy and how he left her, my feelings changed for him when he started to actively pursue Emmy. His pursuit of Emmy was swoon worthy, his nickname of “wife” was sweet. I just loved the alpha and protectiveness of him.
And the suspense part of the book was quite a surprise! At one point I thought it was all resolved then realized there was still more to the story. I was not expecting who the villain ended up being. The townspeople of Prescott were great as well. I feel like a broken record sometimes but I love the small town feel and tend to gravitate towards those kind of settings.
All in all another wonderful story by this amazing author.
Loved this book!!!!
Nick and Emmy are perfect for each other… playful.. who like to challenge Emmy… Everyone has secrets… secret can be painful… Devney books are awesome… i cant get enough
